Restaurant The Gogi reviews
19I was stationed in Korea several years ago and have been yearning for good, authentic Korean food since. I wasn't disappointed. We each ordered something different and we all tried everything; everyone loved everything. Highly recommend!
The food here is so good, authentic flavors that bring me back to alleyway restaurants in Seoul. This place hit home for me.
Ordered through Uber eats. Food is tasty and good serving size unlike some others we ordered which shrink size for to-go orders. A+ will definitely order again!
The pig's feet.looks like convenience store pig's feet.but the pork back ribs were really delicious, just like those at Hongdae Pocha House! All of the side dishes are delicious and there is a variety of variety, so I like it~
You should never try the table grill. Over priced and terrible. The service is not friendly either.
I went with two buddies from work. We all got and loved the pork Bulgogi (they call it marinated pork I think). It was delicious. The banchan was typical (kim chi, kongnamul muchim, etc.) but very much better than typical. The service was great and they have hot Barley tea. Many Korean restaurants have stopped serving Barley tea but not the Gogi. We'll be back.
One star deducted from atmosphere because it's in a strip mall but everything else is top notch so I'm not deducting any stars.
I thought it was cook on the table grill.
The side dishes were flat. No flavor at all. When the lady brought the bulgogi It was way over cooked like it was boiled. Dumped on raw white onions. I told the waitress who also was not happy about me saying it was over cooked. And she just blurted out 'We make like this for four years'. And she brought me the ticket. I paid and left. Didn't want a big hassle but trust me. Go to a page where YOU COOK IT the way YOU LIKE IT. Miso soup and rice were the best. Meat was so bad i didn't bother with a pic. This was taken before I tried anything. So no
This place is so underrated. Their beef bulgogi was on point. The hotpot bibimbap was amazing! And they actually give you all the little dishes before your food comes out.
Was really empty at 4: 30 pm on tuesday.i ordered grilled mackerel and seafood soup combo.the mackerel was sooo good! Very tasty and didnt have many bones in the middle like other mackerel dishes usually have.the seafood soup was really spicy! We got the little bowls of food before our food came and the bowls of rice came with our food.everything was really good i would definitely come again! (extra info.at the time/day we went, the bento boxes were not on the menu!) our server was very kind! No issues.
The staff is super friendly and the food is amazing. I recommend the bibimbop and all the kimchi!
We chose Gogi Korean Barbecue to celebrate a family birthday, and it turned out to be an exceptional choice! From start to finish, our experience was simply outstanding.
First and foremost, I must commend Mrs. Lee, our server for the evening. Her attentiveness and warm hospitality truly made our celebration special. She guided us through the menu, explained the grilling process, and ensured that every detail of our dining experience was perfect.
Now, let's talk about the star of the show—the food! The meats, marinated to perfection, were an absolute delight. The flavors were exceptional, and the quality of the ingredients shone through with every bite. It's safe to say that Gogi serves some of the most delicious Korean barbecue in town.
One aspect that pleasantly surprised us was the reasonable pricing. Given the exceptional quality of the food and service, we found it to be great value for the entire family. We left with full hearts and happy stomachs, without breaking the bank.
We're already looking forward to returning to Gogi Korean Barbecue for more mouthwatering Korean barbecue. It's an experience that's hard to forget, and we highly recommend it to anyone seeking a memorable dining experience.
In summary, our birthday celebration at Gogi was a resounding success, thanks to Mrs. Lee's exceptional service, the delicious food, and the reasonable prices. Gogi Korean Barbecue has earned our highest recommendation, and we can't wait to make it a family tradition!

Sorry no pictures, too busy having a good time
I came to this place with my girlfriends by accident. Originally, we wanted to go to the Korean hot pot across the street, but it was packed. I'm so happy we stumbled upon this cozy and quiet spot where we can actually have a conversation over some delicious food and hear each other clearly, haha. I ordered the grilled sliced beef, and it was perfectly seasoned and cooked to perfection. The price was reasonable, and there's plenty left over to take home. The staff was friendly and helpful. I will definitely come back to try the rest of the menu.
We had the japchae noodles, hot bowl bibimbap with chicken and vegetables. The side dishes were good and the miso soup was comforting. The service was fast and the host was lovely!
First time coming here. I thoroughly enjoyed the meal. The server was fantastic. I was overwhelmed with the attentiveness and the joyful smile. She was very attentive and quick to respond to our needs. The place was super clean everywhere you looked. The ribs were fantastic and delightfully messy I will definitely be coming back here.
Best Bulgogi in Texas. The banchan is also the bomb! The potato banchan is my favorite. The service is top notch. Very cozy booth seating and plenty of space on the table for multiple dishes. The staff is always friendly and accommodating. Good location just off the freeway. Highly recommend for a family get together or just a leisure lunch.
Lovely people who take care of their tables and over deliver on service! They are like a home cooked meal away from home! I will recommend this place to everyone I know going to Dallas!
This is a delightful place to have authentic Korean food! We came for the first time during a busy dinner time, yet the servers still patiently showed us how to wrap the meat with lettuce and make some truly delicious bite size rib with veggie wraps. The atmosphere was nice and the portions are great! We are definitely putting this restaurant on our favorites list.
Food does not taste good and customer service is bad I do not recommend to come and eat at this place.
Service was phenomenal. The lady was very kind offering drinks for our friends birthday and leaving pitches of water to quench our thirst. The atmosphere felt very warm and welcoming with a traditional set up. However, I will say that the portions are a bit small for the price. Overall, I recommend the restaurant.
