The Golf Club at Star Ranch, Hutto TX

Great course, greens and practice facilities, but didn't manage the pace of play at all.

Gem of a course, especially for the area. Love the lay out.almost all the holes are friendly to the weekend golfer. Played 36 last Friday with a group of friends and the course and greens were in great shape. All the staff I've ever dealt with, including the starters and marshals have been great - friendly and easy to talk to. The only thing I thought was a tiny unreasonable was the replay rate, especially for a week day in the middle of winter (and it was fairly cold that day). Outside of that, one of my favorite courses in the north Austin area.

Golfed here a couple of weeks ago and had a great experience. Staff in the clubhouse was friendly, staff outside was friendly, course is in great shape. Highly recommend for this area!

Interesting and fun golf course. Well managed and kept in good shape. Can be windy out there in that former cornfield, so bring your 9° driver.

Staff here has gotten way out of control, we played our front 9 in 2 hours and 15 minutes and this old man in the box at hole 1 stopped us from going to the back nine waving his finger in my face saying we were 15 minutes behind, I tried explaining to him that we were not holding anyone up and he argued with me for 5 minutes that we were holding people up. This is not a prison camp, this is a golf course where people come to have a good time not listen to some old man bark at me, what happened to this place, used to be a great place to play golf now its old men running around yelling at people, sad

Love the course. Has been open since 2000. Good for all skill levels. Course is always in great shape. It is pricey.

If you want to feel like a pro, then golf here! You'll shoot the lowest score your ever played!

I'm new to golfing. Trying to get out of my comfort zone. Walking into an establishment like this can be overwhelming. When I walk in the front door the front desk gentle rarely says anything to me and makes me stand there until I initiate the conversation. Even then I had questions and he seemed to be either sleepy or annoyed. I will update as time goes.

This is my favorite course in the Austin area. Great practice facilities with unlimited range balls included with your round. Friendly staff. Course always seems to be maintained very well. And the fairways are decently wide which makes for not losing too many balls off the tee but plenty of hazards to make the course challenging.

Without a doubt this is the best maintained course I've been on this season. The greens are immaculate and the fairways are plush, even in this hot South Texas weather. I cannot wait to return.

Super Cop Golf Ranger likes to give people a hard time. 20 mins behind pace with no one even close to near us because it’s a scorching 106 degrees outside. At Hole 16 telling us to speed up. Are you kidding me? When I asked the golf ranger why he was giving us a hard time he said I had “attitude”. Spent plenty of money on course fees and drinks on a SLOW DAY and wasn’t an inconvenience to anyone yet they wanted us to leave. Disgusting. Save your money, play somewhere else. Course was subpar and smelled like raw sewage anyways.

Pam and staff do a great job. Highly recommend! Rob the director made a outing with friend come to fruition and I can’t thank him enough!

Somehow this course is always in great shape. Played recently which is the middle of the texas summer with average Temps of 200 degrees. The course had perfect green grass woth lush fairways and solid greens.

First time player here. What a fun day on the links! Single player and got paired with an awesom fun group of fellas. Enjoyed the course; greens were nice just an awesome kinda day! Golf buddy suggested the course & now I highly recommend. Staff was super friendly and accommodating helping find my group of unknowns.

Great course! Staff inside and outside are very friendly. The course is always is very good condition and the time to play a round of golf is always 4 hrs.

Greens were perfect. Always a great experience when we play this course. The pace a play is good, even on Saturday mornings. Staff is very inviting and courteous. I'm strongly considering becoming a member. One of the best public courses I've ever played.
