The Herweck, San Antonio TX

I've been on this property for a while now, and I've never seen it look the way it does (horrible). After months and months of trying to get a few work orders taken care of and many failed attempts. The people in the office would say a man was the manager. Let's just manage not his strongest trait. On my last attempt to get my closet light taken care of. I was able to speak to Sarah, and she was able to get all 5 of my work orders taken care of. Also, it did not take months to do. For that, I'm grateful to her clearly that not everyone in the office has no knowledge of how to manage a property, but Sarah did, in fact, help and completed all my work orders in a timely manner.

Things were better when she was on property, and she was aware of the problem. This place at one point was very peaceful and clean, and things were taken care of. I didn't have a problem recommending people before. But since then, things have changed, and the quality of the area has gone down, and people just don't care about the appearance of the outside.

I enjoyed living here from June 2014 to September of 2021 Sarah and her maintenance guys were awesome and always attentive to work orders would love to return after my lease is up at my current apartment.

For 10 days in July they let us sit in a 91+ degree apartment with a broken AC. Meanwhile we couldn't even cool off in the pool as it was covered in algae the whole time. My requests for compensation have gone completely ignored, so don't be too enticed by that first free month they're offering.

I am not typically one to leave reviews but I thought it be best to inform anyone thinking of moving to The Herweck House Apartments; the building and units themselves are cute at first glance and the price is right (for me at-least) but there are quiet a few of cons to be weary of. Throughout the 12 months of my lease, I have had to deal without water for more than 30 days total (4 separate occasions, all without compensation or even proper communication) ; my toilet has been broken for over 2 months (management is aware, still no solution from them) ; the maintenance team does their best, but with multiple properties to tend to and the lack of communication from management, nothing gets done; random and a tad nit-picky but the AC can only be set to 72 at the lowest - you know how hot it can get during the summer; some minor bug issues here and there (cockroaches). The problem I have had the most issues with, though, is the (AGAIN) lack of communication from the leasing office/management team. When signing my lease, the people working here seemed very nice, and they may as well be, but if they decide that they do not like you, they will not treat you nicely or take any of your concerns seriously. *It is a cute place, very small and quiet. I’ve got no issues with any of my neighbors and the area is chill* but I would never recommend this place to anyone as there are some health violations in regards to the water, and the shady management services. There’s a good reason why they’ve always got a $500 off special/nobody lives here. Good luck!

Cute apartment, but water goes out periodically. And as of writing this we've been out of RUNNING WATER for TWO WEEKS. Maintenance has said everyday that it'll be fixed but here we are two weeks later. Its a health hazard for all residents living here. Will not be renewing

This place can get terribly noisy at night. No one is ever on site to observe and report activity.

Maintenance is very slow to fix things around here, these apartments are falling apart. Definitely not renewing my lease.
