I inquired about a consultation regarding getting a nondisclosure for a charge. It was HORRIBLE! He kept interrupting me and I never got a word out, right from the start. Secondly, his phone was cutting out real bad. Then he told me I was ineligible because I had a prior DUI from 20 years ago. I have done my research and even on the Texascourts.gov website, they list the requirements for a nondisclosure. There is a list of PRIOR convictions that make a person ineligible but DUI is NOT on that list. This guy told me the law says ANY previous convictions and they will find them. This is not true. (I even spoke with another lawyer who confirmed what he told me is not correct). I tried telling him what I read from the Texas courts own website, just to get some clarification (Because I was confused now and really wanted answers), and he just kept cutting me off and told me they will not represent me because I was ineligible. I wasn't being rude or disrespecting him in any way, I was just trying to understand why he was telling me that, as it did not line up with what is on the Texas Courts own website. His professionalism was incompetent at best. Here I am, ready to pay a lawyer and seeking advice, and I get treated like a criminal and he was the prosecuting attorney instead of an attorney who is supposed to HELP. Find yourself a real attorney who will actually LISTEN and make you feel like you matter. People with his level of interpersonal skills should not be in the profession of helping people. I will get my nondisclosure and send it to you. Learn the law.
