Horrible service! My husband was admitted for a back surgery. He was on the second floor (surgery ortho). There is a nurse Gladys #24840. That lady is extremely rude telling us my 13 year old daughter couldn't be in the room visiting with her father. This is my husbands 3 surgery and our daughter has stayed the night without a problem. This lady wants to act like she is the owner of the hospital. Once I told her what I thought. She was extremely rude to my husband not wanting to help with anything. Neglect at its worst. Horrible horrible person. Some people shouldn't be nurses and Gladys you are one of those people.

My cousin came here and she’s been in pain and the hospital was lacking in treating it! Definitely don’t recommend coming here unless you’re dying!

Since I didn't see an option to leave a review specifically for the INFUSION CLINIC at the Eastside Campus, I shall write one here. The nurse Teresa/Terri at the Infusion Clinic on the Fourth floor is unfit to be working in that department. It's clear that she is unhappy with her job. Furthermore, she lacks empathy and frankly, is quite sloppy with how she handles the infusion process. I am transferring my family member's care elsewhere as I think Terri could potentially cause a precarious event for my family member. Terri seemed very apathetic towards my elderly family member's condition. This visit was the second time we were assigned this nurse. I understand we all have bad days from time-to-time, but her ineptness and unpleasant disposition was the same from the first visit. We all have challenges in life, but those problems need to be left at that door once we clock in. If that's not possible, then one needs to take time off to address personal matters.

DO NOT GET ANY SERVICE HERE.
I am currently having to dispute charges that they do not have record of despite me showing bank statements. They have no clue what happened to a 200$ payment they made us submit in order to get imaging done. Now they are billing us again through a 3rd party. If you get ANYTHING done here do not be surprised when you receive several bills for the same service. The facility charges you and also a 3rd party company that have contracts with the doctors that work there.

As if having a loved one in ICU isn’t hard enough. The nurses take away extra chairs from the icu units so loved ones don’t stay too long. My sister stood all day yesterday bc she won’t leave her husbands side. By the end of the day her legs were buckling from exhaustion.

My son in-law is in ICU currently at the east side hospital. The staff in this hospital is very cold and insensitive. When my son in-law was taken in by ambulance they initially told my daughter and my wife that he had passed he was gone and there was nothing else they could do about it. That turned out to be false and he is still clinging to life. Some of the nurses have totally been cold about his situation constantly telling us that there is no chance when there are actually signs of him fighting. Today the nurses were laughing giggling the notion of my daughter and my son-in-law continuing to fight this battle. They also have basically stated they will not be able to do much for him at this point and they are pushing for him to be sent out to rehab. This hospital has made the situation for my daughter and son-in-law a complete UPDATE: Now they released him to a rehab knowing he was not stable, has an infection and his temperature fluctuations. They never informed the rehab of the stroke he suffered.

Your schedule department needs more training and maybe new personal. I tried to schedule a Stat ultrasound guided thoracentesis and it took over 5 hours to try to get an appointment. And yet I had to wait for a call back. It's sad that it is not for one of there family member. But in reality every time I called it was you need this you need that. We have to ask etc.etc. I spoked to 6 different people.and yet I still couldn't have a straight answer nor appointment. I give them a 0 stars. Get real people that are wiiing to help, not keep you going in circles.

Updated review: From a one star to a five and 6 months later back down to a two! Incompetence from the call center to my appointment. I waited three weeks for this MRI appt. Plenty of time for the insurance approval to be requested and accepted. I had to go in person to make sure my blood work was up to date before my exam appointment, because six different people at different departments, couldn't give me any information pertaining to my concerns on the phone. When I finally got frustrated and went in person, it took five minutes for the receptionist to answer my question. So today i get a call, telling me that my MRI appts for tomorrow have been cancelled due to my insurance not being approved, yet! This tells me, that billing took forever to send the paperwork for approval, which was confirmed when i called my insurance. Now, i'm suppose to reschedule for a later date, which means i have to do my bloodwork AGAIN before my next scheduled appt. After years of coming to Providence for my exams, this is the first time that I'm truly disgusted in their lack of professionalism.

Extremely Disappointed with Sierra Providence Hospital's Triage Service

Rating:

I recently had a surgery procedure, Anterior Cervical Decompression & Fusion on 30 June 2023. After my discharged on Sunday
I started experiencimg a lot discomfort which lead me decide I needed to the emergency room. Unfortunately, my experience with their triage service following the surgery was nothing short of disappointing. The way they handled patients in obvious pain was utterly unacceptable, displaying a clear dereliction of duty.

From the moment I arrived at the hospital, it was evident that the triage system was flawed. Despite being in excruciating pain and clearly in need of immediate attention, I was left waiting for an unreasonable amount of time.

As someone who had just undergone a surgical procedure, I expected to receive prompt and attentive care. However, it felt as though my pain and discomfort were completely disregarded by the hospital staff. Their lack of urgency and empathy was deeply disheartening, leaving me feeling neglected and forgotten.

Medical professionals are entrusted with the well-being and care of their patients, especially those who have just undergone surgery. It is unfathomable that Sierra Providence Hospital failed to recognize and address the obvious distress I was experiencing. No patient should have to endure such disregard, particularly during a time when they are vulnerable and in need of assistance.

I am deeply disappointed with Sierra Providence Hospital's triage service and their apparent lack of concern for patients in pain. The experience I had following my surgery was far from what I expected or deserved. I hope that the hospital takes this review seriously and takes steps to improve their triage system, ensuring that no other patient has to endure such blatant dereliction of duty.

In conclusion, I cannot recommend Sierra Providence Hospital based on the disappointment and inadequate care I received during the triage process. Their failure to prioritize patients in obvious distress is a clear reflection of their disregard for patient well-being. It is my hope that they address these issues promptly and implement changes that will prevent such experiences from occurring in the future

A MESSAGE FOR ALL FUTURE PATIENTS.
I know this review won’t bring back my brother in law but I hope it saves your loved ones.
This hospital has been a nightmare to work with. Some nurses removing extra chairs from the icu unit so family members don’t stay too long. Nurses forgetting to put his gown down and leaving him exposed for everyone to see with the door open. The head of neuro Dr. Cowens would mock my sister for fighting to save her husband. With his constant remarks and laugher about WHY WOULD YOU TRACH A BRAIN DEAD PATIENT. Denying that my brother in law had fevers and seizures and still releasing him to a rehab facility. Without disclosing any medical info of his fever and seizures to the facility. Once he got to the facility the Dr ignored every call requesting meds and help. My brother in law passed away on July 22nd, due to this hospital’s negligence. All Dr. Cowens cares about is his weekly vacations and has no interest in his patients.

Unfortunately Lynette (supervise) was rude and then she asked me if anything is wrong because I seem bothered. Don’t treat people and then accuse them of having a problem when they treat you the way you treat them. Then she gets snappy when I can’t hear her. Hello you sitting low on desk with plastic wall hanging. Then the info she prints out for the next professional is wrong name and date. Is tell me who’s having a bad day. Then a mother walks out of a door and gives her the same tone telling her ma’am I need you to sign form. After she’s done with me mother walks to counter and says where do I sign she then tells her hold on I have to print out form. Providence you can do better on hiring these professionals. If your max or bitter don’t take it out on the ones who came to give you work. Other than Lynette the supervisor the rest of the staff we encountered was a delight!

It's a shame that being a place where they're supposed to help you, they don't give a damn about your health, a huge hospital and they never have rooms, they don't care that the people who go to EMERGENCY is because it's obviously an emergency, they're not going to play They don't attend to them and the receptionists laugh and laugh.it's a disgusting place, unprofessional, oh but to be paid on time.

I just had my surgery there on Friday the 28th of August. The surgeon was great! Everything with the surgery went well. After the surgery my time in the recovery was a nightmare. The staff was extremely rude and unprofessional. Once I was moved to my room the rudeness continued with the staff that was there that night. I was extremely disappointed in my stay there. This was my third or fourth time staying overnight at the hospital. This was the first time I had this experience.

We unfortunately had to bring in my father to the emergency room and have been admitted for 2 days already. The staff has been truly wonderful, informative and very attentive. We have not been able to get a room upstairs due to the overflow of inpatient rooms occupied but the ER staff continues to keep my father as comfortable as possible. I can truly say that from being greeted in the front by Joe in the ER floor to Rick from Telemetry. I am thankful that we chose the right facility to attend my father’s injury. I cannot thank the staff enough for continuing to treat us with such care.

Awful place. I can see why this place has Two stars. My sister got transferred to this place and after waiting for so long they told her they couldn’t do anything because too much time had passed. They didn’t even do any test to see why this happened. My sister ended up just leaving because there was no point of being their if they weren’t going to treat her.

With all the worries in the world, came to Providence East Emergency Room.
Upon arrival, I was taken to the back, received by Joe and Abel at ER.
They provided such great and warm welcome took my vitals and address all my concerns.
Joe took my lab work and explain each step he was taking. Made sure I felt comfortable with the process, extremely knowledgeable.
Then I did speak with Dr. Alarcón which he was a pleasure to speak with as well.
Answer all my questions and corners. Made sure my questions were answer to best if his knowledge.
These 3 gentlemen made sure I felt comfortable and at peace even at the emergency room. They were extremely busy but they made sure when it’s our turn they gave us their undivided attention
Thank you for all you do
Joe, Abel and Doctor Alarcón at Emergency Room
Thank you for going that extra mile
I really appreciate all you do
