Fourth.gosh, maybe fifth time using The Laurel for a corporate awards dinner. There is a reason we keep coming back! Carly was our coordinator this year and was amazing. Any of my last minute changes she handled with ease. When planning an event, the ability to have the event venue handle the linens, tables, chairs, sound system, glassware, bartender, food and alcohol, catering staff, bartenders, off-duty officer.they truly make it SO easy for you and at a beautiful location, too. Will be booking again for next year's event!

The Laurel is an all around great venue! It is relatively affordable (depending of course on what kind of packages you want), and I definitely decided to dress it up which the venue is more than helpful with! From the head chef to our day of coordinator, this venue is so great to work with! Highly recommend!

When we first toured the Laurel, we knew our hearts were set on it. No other venue won us over quite like this one. From planning to meetings to our wedding day, the team at the Laurel was amazing every step of the way. Justo and the catering team were incredibly flexible and in tune to our every request when it came to food and beverage. The catering showcase was great to help us fine tune our meal choices and give us a taste of the delicious food Boxwood Hospitality offers. On the wedding day, the meal was absolutely perfect and the bar was a big hit! Carly, our coordinator, was calm, communicative, attentive to every detail, thoughtful, and always did everything she could to make our requests possible. We couldn't have asked for someone better to walk us through the planning process and be with us every step of the way on our big day! We are SO thankful to have had her. The Laurel is a beautiful venue and perfect for any couple! You will not be disappointed with your choice!

As the mother of the groom, a single mother who raised her son without help from the father of the groom, I expected to be seated at the table of honor on the groom's side. Instead, my name was spelled wrong, and I was seated at the far corner of the room behind a column that would not have allowed for enjoying the events of the reception. When I complained before the wedding started the venue manager just stated that my son had planned it that way, my son said he just told them who was to sit together, he never told them to place me in the far corner. The coordinator assumed the people with the same last names were to sit in this place of honor, they should have asked more questions, I would not recommend this venue if you have any sort of unusual extended family situation.

I would give no stars if possible.

My husband and I loved this venue from day 1! Perfect rustic atmosphere we craved. Our vendors really helped us make our dreams areality. Julianne, our coordinator was super sweet and professional. The only criticism we have is that it can be hard to schedule time to go to the venue on the weekends as they have events (totally understandable). So plan accordingly for that. Otherwise we were very happy with our experience.

Cute venue inside and nice that it's able to accommodate both the ceremony and reception. The outside leaves a bit to be desired, perhaps they could work on the landscaping sooner rather than later. I actually enjoyed watching the planes coming in for landing at DFW since I couldn't hear anything. The sound in the chapel was awful, I was in the front row for my brother's wedding and couldn't even hear the pastor. Unfortunately there's a transformer directly behind the window front and center, they could have at least tried to disguise it. Had to stay in for pictures, so by the time I got outside for cocktail hour there was a huge line for the bar. There was one liquor drink - a cranberry Moscow mule. They ran out of the ginger beer (the main ingredient) before cocktail hour was even over. I maybe got one or two small bites during that time as well because the servers never came out to the edge of the patio, let alone where the bulk of the people were (in the grass/mud). The speaker placement/table placement in the reception room was odd, half of the tables were behind the speakers and we (the family of the groom) couldn't hear the speeches or even see the sweetheart table. My view was the back of the band and the back of a speaker. My salad plate was missing both the onions and the walnuts, so I got spinach with two strawberry halves (which I'm allergic to). The dinner was lukewarm at best. The planner had things in an interesting order, as the speeches were done after the dinner, instead of before like most weddings. They only served the liquor (vodka) at the outside bar, so we had to go into the cold unless we wanted wine or beer. The cake cutting was never announced, so most of the family didn't even get to see it. My water glass was removed during dancing for some reason (as was everyone else's), when I was thirsty I had nothing but alcohol to drink left at the table. The planner kicked everyone out (so the couple could have a private dance, which is adorable) with very very little time to get our coats on, get phones for pics, etc. They lit our sparklers so early before the bride and groom were coming out that they were half way down by the time they got to the beginning of the people.

Best place in DFW to have a wedding or large event! We were married in the fall of 2019 and it was everything we dreamed of. The coordinator Julianne was on top of things, friendly and very proactive. We loved the groomsman and bridal suites. The venue is spacious. Hands down a great place to have outdoor or indoor weddings, with beautiful grounds and facilities!

Our daughter's wedding took place at The Laurel at the end of October and have to say it was the perfect location for the our event! It was so nice to be able to have the get ready rooms for both bride and groom, the beautiful chapel, outdoor gathering area as well as lovely reception area all in one venue. The location is perfect too as is not far from the DFW airport which was so convenient for out of town guests. There are also numerous hotels at all price points close by for guests as well. Tess was our coordinator and was outstanding! She and the entire Laurel team worked together to make the day perfect. Tess responded quickly to our questions throughout and really worked hard to make the wedding day enjoyable for everyone. She has a great vision for the space and helped us immensely while trying to make final detailed decisions on items. Her experience in the wedding industry was extremely helpful. Her attention to detail with everything was wonderful. She even made sure the not so great weather was hardly noticeable... Arranging for heat lamps outside as well as having the fireplace lit for guests. Much appreciated for sure! Tess coordinated with all vendors from time to time ensuring their arrival times, etc. She most importantly made sure the bride and groom were catered to throughout ensuring they had private time together despite the very busy day. She made them feel very special. Tess was the ultimate hostess and The Laurel the perfect location for our milestone event. We highly recommend The Laurel to anyone planning a wedding or other event in that area.
