As an educator, former teacher and principal, I can not in good conscious recommend this place to anyone.

I had a disappointing experience at The Learning Experience (TLE) near LakeRidge HS. Despite my initial reservations, I enrolled my 17-month-old daughter there. The issues included lost paperwork, constant staff turnover, messy classrooms, missing clothes, inadequate communication, and my daughter frequently falling ill. The assistant director seemed nice, but the director/owner dismissed my concerns about my child's behavior. If considering TLE, ask questions and be vigilant. Overall, their high turnover affected consistency and I believe contributed to negative behaviors my child learned there. Look for a childcare center that meets your expectations for a better learning environment.

Don’t put ur child here unless you like the jumping to conclusion and calling cps on you without even having all their facts straight. They thought my daughter had blood in her stool and instead of letting me know and assuming she could be constipated they assumed the worst. Turns out it wasn’t blood but all the orange yellow and pink frosting from a dessert that discolored her stool. Had they bothered to talk to me about it before calling we could have resolved it. The owner is not trustworthy at all. Zero accountability for anything.

My son has attended this daycare since November 2022. His first teacher had a kind disposition and updated the app frequently with pictures during the day. After the winter storm this daycare closed for 7 weeks or so and when they reopened things went down the drain. This "daycare " is subpar at best. The high turnover rate of staff is the least of their problems. Some of the staff are "pleasant ", but on numerous occasions I have encountered them yelling at students in an aggressive manner. My child has been hurt numerous times while attending here and the staff barely can recall details of when it occurred or what happened without myself or husband repeatedly asking for clarification and that an incident report be completed. From conversations I've had with the staff it's evident that no one has an advanced degree in early childhood education or basic knowledge of how to teach replacement behaviors for hitting, biting, tantrums, and potty training (all developmentally appropriate behaviors that daycares help guide toddlers through) in the afternoons they will stick students in front of the TV, one time even a commercial with a drag queen was playing on screen. Do not allow the directors to gaslight you with tales of professional development / training for staff, it’s mediocre at best and no proof the classroom teachers are actually implementing what they allegedly learned in training. When they are over ratio in a class (which is often due to staff shortages) they will bump down the last kid to be moved up, which ruins the students time to practice routines and are unable to come in contact with higher learning opportunities.

I can’t say enough about this school and it’s teachers. There was an issue one year due to weather that required the facility to close for a period of time. Let me just say, I went through 3 daycares waiting for TLE to open again. We couldn’t get back there fast enough. There is no other daycare that takes care of your kids like they do. They care for the kids as if they were their own. The teachers are amazing and the kids love each and every teacher not just their classroom teacher. The teachers know all the kids and the kids know all the teachers. Not only are they great with the kids but they are teaching the kids. My 2 year old could start kindergarten tomorrow and have no issues because of how much they have taught him in just the last year. If you want great teachers, owners/admins that care about their families, and a school that doesn’t just babysit but teaches your children, this is the place for your family.they are amazing people and again I can’t say enough about this place. If it weren’t for TLE, my son wouldn’t be in daycare because I haven’t been able to find anyone I trust the way I trust TLE. Thank you TLE! And thank you for all you do with and for our children!

My son has been going here for almost 2 years now and we absolutely love it. There is positive energy as soon as you walk in. They take such great care of my baby boy, it makes me happy to send him off every morning. I can see the growth and learning in my son every day! The owner, Director, and the staff are all great. It’s very nice to know that he is in a caring, safe, and secure environment while he isn’t home. Thank you, TLE!

My son has been at this daycare since he was 10 weeks old. They have helped him overcome lots of hurdles and helped with his development. I could not thank them enough and I would absolutely recommend them to any family!

DO NOT put your child here! Got doubled billed twice and I happen to catch it, but they would only credit account not refund, no big deal but the way it was handled seemed shady like it was intentional, then they changed early drop off time to before 8 so they charged extra which is crazy because most people have to be at work by 8, another issue was they have the kids nap from 11: 30-3: 30, we were wondering why we fought to get them to bed at night, but they were comfortable here so we bit our tongues and continued. The final blow to losing our business was when cps was called on us because our 4 yr old daughter still can't wipe herself completely clean all the time and she had Orange in her underwear. It was orange not red! If they would have inquired about it I wld have told them it was from Great American Cookie co.my daughter only eats the icing off cookies and she had that day before. What's even more upsetting is the owner or manager never saw it, they went by what an 18 yr old employee said. She told them if they don't report it then she will report them, they have never felt that anything was going on and they know we are loving good parents (That's what they told my wife trying to ease the situation) This place is a joke no wonder kids and teachers are leaving right and left. The response given on this review will probably be a lie.

This is the BEST school that we’ve been to. My kids love going here. They can’t wait to go every day and it’s unbelievable how engaged the staff is with all the kids. Definitely recommend this location to anyone looking for a fun and safe environment for your child.

Do not leave your child in this facility. I have been in education for over 20 years, and I currently coach pre-k teachers as my occupation. The “Teacher of the Year” does not know how to talk to toddlers. One night my daughter begged me to change her class crying. She was afraid to go to school because she was repeatedly being yelled at. She even quoted the teacher saying, “Stop with all the drama! ” The owner has no accountability for this facility. She told me that there was no way the teacher was yelling and that the classrooms were monitored. This is a lie. I asked to observe the classroom before my child was enrolled, and the owner didn’t even know how to turn the audio on while viewing the cameras. She also didn’t know how to make the monitor focus on one class.
My daughter was there for a month and during that time the front office staff changed three times abruptly. When we signed up, we were given a schedule that included engagement in learning activities until closing. That is not what happened. Before the day began and after naptime, they watched Disney movies. Then after I complained, they began using Learning Experience videos instead. It still wasn’t what I was promised, but better than Disney.
I would not recommend this facility to anyone.

I was very unhappy with this business! We took our daughter there this past August and I was quickly turned off by the fact that everyday I came to pick her up, the kids were watching a big television screen with non-educational videos. I was told that was not normal and that was just part of their summer program, and would stop later that week. This was not true and it did continue which I feel is an educational waste of time for the children. Most importantly to me was her teacher being very rude to her. My daughter was upset about her grandma leaving after a visit and was crying a little. Her teacher's response was to yell at her for crying! My daughter is very smart and is able to recall every detail. The teacher did not deny this and a few days later, they put her into another teacher with a more sensitive teacher. The problem was, they kept putting her back into that room when there was a staffing change, which seemed to be often, and she had to be around this teacher who her very uncomfortable. When these issues were brought up to the owner, she was very dismissive. It was at this point, we decided to move her to a better educational setting and it has been a much better experience. As a teacher myself, I cannot in good conscious, recommend this day care, and tend to think about it as a month long mistake on my part in putting her there.

My girls love their teachers and are really thriving at TLE. I would recommend this location to anyone looking for caretakers that really care about your kiddos!
