I had the worst experience living in these apartments everything was going smooth at first, mind you we the gates stayed open 24/7 and no security but about 5 months of me living there some strange guys broke into my place while I was in my bed sleeping they destroyed my entire place with this being my very first apartment and me being so young I filled a police report and I left immediately I was so scared for my life and I had no clue who these guys where and if they would come back few days late I was calling the leasing office trying to inform them that I was leaving no answer no call back I even sent emails. When I finally got a chance to talk to someone they had attitudes and no sympathy they acted as if it was nothing that they could do so now I’m stuck with a broken leases and I’ve still tried to contact them to get out of my lease still nothing at this point I don’t know what to do but involve my legal team

I usually do not write reviews but this made me upset. So I applied here about 1 week ago and the assistant manager Jeanette never reached out to me to give me status on approval. I kept calling and I was always on hold or not paid any attention to. I'm a pretty understanding person but I needed a place to live so this made me feel that they do not prioritize their applications/leases. I understand that they are under remodeling but an answer would've been appreciated. I emailed her many times asking what else she needed and never got a response. I also work at leasing apartments so I know how the process works and it should not have exceeded to 1 whole week. I still have not heard anything back but I do not plan to live here anymore. I hope everyone that applies here does it within a timely manner because they are not good at communicating.

Past Tenant review:
The worst apartment complex experience we have ever had. PICTURES POSTED on Google profile. Unsanitary, unsafe, and unresponsive management/maintenance. We had to move out due to this apartment being an unsafe place for our family. We had ENOUGH of dealing with unresolved issues. Our plumbing had other tenant's sewage coming up through our toilets and bathtub during COVID. I couldn't cook or wash my dishes regularly because the sinks were always backed up from plumbing issues and the dishwasher leaked into the living room area. Trash was constantly overflowing the dumpsters. Windows were broken and glass was all over the grounds. The laundry machines leaked and never worked. Roaches were constantly crawling around. We found a hidden wasp nest in our bathroom. Our whole side of the building experienced no electric for 2 days in 90 degree weather no maintenance/emergency maintenance or management response when us and other tenants attempted to contact several times. We reached out to the local electric company who informed us all that only our maintenance technicians could fix this issue and we couldn't do nothing about it. We tried calling and reporting these situations to management and was always directed to maintenance yet maintenance never came regularly. I called maintenance once per week living here with these issues. Maintenance even admitted they never came to fix our plumbing when we had sewage backed up for 3 days during COVID. Our whole complex smelled like a sewer. Then when we left we even tried to pay what we owed and was told they would call us back to work a payment plan out. A week went by and we were turned over to collections without any notice or communication. $945 a month in an apartment and we could have rented a home rather than rent out a literal dump of an apartment complex. The apartment pictures posted on The Life at Beverly Palms site are false advertisement and the landlord should feel ashamed of themselves for scamming people out of money who want to live in a place of "comfort, quality, and new standard" like their site claims. The health department should inspect this complex.

Living at The Life at Beverly Palms has been a great experience. This stems from the attentive Office Staff to the Professionalism of the Maintenance guys. When I moved in, my apartment was clean and very inviting. The location of the property is amazing for my commute to work. All in all, I thoroughly enjoy living here and will continue my residency happily.

Terrible terrible apartments. Don't ever move in here. There's bugs and mold, and terrible communication between the office and the residents.

My lease was up and even though I had communicated to them that I was not renewing my lease, they still have the audacity to tell me, the day of that I'm still going to have to pay for two more months because it wasn't in writing. When I had that conversation with them months ago about how I wasn't going to renew, they should've communicated that to me.

So now I have yo pay for two months I'm not even living there in the middle of a pandemic where I could hardly afford my rent as it is, and now I have to pay an addition variable fee with them having absolutely no regard or willingness to work with me.

I'm so upset and disappointed, and not sure what to do.
Avoid this apartment complex at all cost.

Edit: felt the need to add to this because of the amount of problems I have encountered while trying to end my lease.

They referred me to my lease agreement and in that I found nothing that said that I need to give a 60 day notice and that THEY actually have to contact me within 30 days before the lease is up to discuss a move out date, and only once we agreed upon a date will that be the official move out.

So they bullied me into believing that I had to pay them extra and stay another 60 paying for another 60 days plus a fee, when that wasn't entirely accurate.

Now if it is a policy of theirs it wasn't present in the copy that they had sent me of my SIGNED lease.

So not only did I get a flea infestation which left me with scars all over my body, and the a/c didn't work when I first moved in (forgot to add the first time) and actually had to use a window unit for about a week, and there was mold in the bathroom, but now they're lying and trying to take advantage of somebody who always paid their rent and caused no problems, and just took all these problems in stride and was planning on just paying and moving on, but when they started trying to get more money I had to stand my ground.

I'm willing to remove this review if you guys let me out of my lease as of April 1st, but if not I'm willing to take legal action.

There's all types of companies who are helping people through through this difficult financial time.

I am going on a year of living here and it has by far been one of the most pleasant experiences ever! During my time, i've had little maintenance repairs needed to be done to my apartment.the few occurrences i've had to submit a request, the guys took care of me in a very timely manner.they are also very quick to come out for overnight maintenance emergencies! The ladies in the office are among the nicest office staff i have had to deal with, especially ms.catalina! Since my move-in, her and jeannette have been incredibly patient and helpful when it comes to literally any concern i have regarding anything.i am very happy to say that i have made the choice to renew my lease and am grateful to call the beverly palms my home: D all places have their flaws here and there, but the office staff here make sure to take care of you and create a very strong sense of comfort/unity.

I currently am finishing my lease. For the majority of my lease I had no issues. Staff are pleasant but not helpful. Maintenance will definitely come out but won't do the job. If you are blessed with an apartment that has no problems you will be good! I was not. I have now learned that there have been complaints of bed bugs, roaches and I was greeted this morning with the screams of mice. After explaining that I had seen mice days ago and was only given two traps with a scoop of peanut butter. When I contacted the leasing office, I was dismissed and told that they would get around to it once Maintenance finished meeting with the owners. I do not feel heard and I am not getting any sleep afraid of what new creature will attack. If you do anything Do Not, I repeat DO NOT MOVE HERE, OR ATLEAST DONT MOVE INTO ANY APARTMENTS THAT START WITH 16 AT THIS COMPLEX. Good luck to you and I hope you hear birds chirping instead of rats like I do at CASA PALMAS.

I currently live here, and haven’t had any issues with these apartments. Every time I request an issue it always gets done correctly within two days. I lived here for about a year so far and really no complaints. Office staff is always friendly and helpful anytime I deal with them. I don’t have any roaches issues. I will see a couple here and there but nothing extreme. There’s always parking, and pretty much everyone keeps to themselves.

Don't waste you time and money here! Wife and I moved here from out of state and we should have searched else where, there is always roaches, loud noises, people always leaving trash in the middle area, when you request for a repair, they take a life time to get to you or to even finish the request. The Staff is always rude, Catalina, I will not resign my lease there.

I used to live here with my wife and my new born. We used to lived upstairs. Everyday we had the same issue with the downstairs neighbors always smoking weed. I used to address this issue with the main office and their response was they weren't responsible for what was going inside the apartment. They could only act if they were outside smoking weed. Also the loud music, TV, domestic fights was out of control. I had to call the Pasadena PD almost every weekend for the same issue. We had issues with roaches but that was almost at the end of our lease most likely due to our neighbors. The only good thing was whenever we had an issue we would do a request online and they would fix it right away. Another thing that sucked was parking but that's pretty much every other apartments with no assign spots.

Reading the reviews, and the power went out, if it wasn't for the fan, I say I have to call 911. Neighbors behind smoking pot at 3 a.m and the only thing keeping me alive with these allergies is the fan.this is depressing.not a smoker so now the smell of pot is really giving me a hard time breathing.
