The Monk's, Houston TX

This was my first time here. Loved the biryani and the noodles looked delicious. Impressed.

Food is good but the people who sevre are really bad and being and Indian literally asking to wakeup in the middle while eating. Doesn’t have minimum common sense at all. Dont suggest this place for Dine-In at all. If anyone goes please dont pay the bill untill you finish the food completely, If you pay the bill before finishing your food thats it they will ask you to leave in the while you are eating itself.
VERY WORST EXPERIENCE!

Firstly it was good by warm welcoming. Dhaba egg was excellent and vijayawada biryani is good.

Let me start with the atmosphere, chairs were sticky and dirty, bathrooms also a mess. And when it comes to the food part it was a complete disappointment.

Street style noodles are best from the menu. Good service and best quality food. Will come back for sure

We ordered corn chat, paneer sechuan, gully ghobi, manchow soup, corn soup. Its the best indo Chinese in town. Must try

We ordered one plate of veg momos to start with. And 4 we got 4 small bites of momos. Decided not to order further as the momos were filled with air no stuffing. Do no recommend also the place has a funny smell.

Best Chinese fried rice and food in town. I am not sure which place to try and my girlfriend suggested a best Indo Chinese. Good service.we will come back for sure

One of the worst service from the fair beard guy! (Probably a student). We were in middle of eating our food in table (after paying bill), he gab our chair by telling us to wake up and wants to give the chair for others who is waiting! This is not a manners and service! Remember WE PAY $ AND EAT! No more going to that restaurant or suggesting to anyone! You guys should change your attitude!

T was our first time at this restaurant in Houston.
We were a large group but the management was quite welcoming and accommodated us.
All our orders were brought out without delay.
Liked the food and would recommend.

Saag Paneer was black instead of green and was so spicy I couldn't eat it. My mouth burned for half an hour from one bite. I waited over 20 minutes for take out and there were only 2 other people in the restaurant. The price was very high in my opinion. Server sneezed on my bagged food. Samosas were okay but the dipping sauce was watery. I won't go back for sure.

The food is good. We ordered Tandoori chicken momos, chicken Tandoori and chicken pulav. The chicken tandoori, chicken momos are so good, the chicken pulav is not good it is not look and taste like a pulav it is so oily

Cannot believe last night was our first time here! Simply wow! The menu had so many interesting indo Chinese dishes to choose from. Our dishes were fantastic, full of flavor, perfect spice level. Healthy portions too…guess what we’re having for lunch! We will be back to try the other menu items soon!

We ordered noodles, fried rice, garlic ginger baby corn, veg momos and for the kids, we ordered panneer butter masala with naan. After 2 hours of meal, our second kid threw up, and the first kid felt nauseated until next morning. I had an unusual excretion the next day morning. Indeed other food items we ordered was tasty, but I doubt the quality.

The first reason we visited Monks, is because of momos that we assumed it could be in-house fresh made. But veg momos were very low rated taste. The outer white layer of momos were not usual. I am sorry but I don't have better words to share.
