The Nest Schools reviews
3Horrible experience here with before and after school care for my daughter. In our 6 months there she was spat on in the face by another student, told that someone was going to kill her and her family, told she's ugly and annoying, all of which staff said was "part of growing up". I personally was yelled at by another parent in thr lobby while the staff stood by, while 7 months pregnant and in front of my daughter, all because I gave the parent a courtesy honk to let her know she had enough space to continue backing out of the parking spot she was already half out of. During drop off it would often smell like I was leaving a smoke shop instead of a daycare, unclear if it was staff or parents. My mom, who was listed as a contact who could pick up was routinely made to feel uncomfortable by staff when picking up my daughter. It's obvious why they always have openings, and if ANY other school had openings to provide transportation I would have moved her immediately, unfortunately I wasn't so lucky with it being half way through the school year when we started.
I was really excited to tour this school even got there an hour early because I’m always running late.
We waited in the parking lot and
I called to let them know I was early and wanted to see if we could wait inside. They said it was fine. I went in 20 min before our scheduled tour And the person in charge asked us to go and wait outside because she was busy. I told her I just needed to use the bathroom and she got irritated. I used the bathroom and waited. Staff walked passed us and didn’t acknowledge my daughters.
I personally didn’t feel welcomed and I left before the tour even started.
They called me back asking me if i wanted another tour and if I took their bathroom key.
I feel comfortable leaving my son at school. His teachers are communicative and care about the children in their care. They always do curriculum, which is a big reason I chose the school. I also love that they do the enrichment programs in the infant room! The center is always clean, as well!
