The Oak Counseling and Psychiatric Clinic reviews
6 Where do I start with this criminally negligent enterprise, how about the time I was admitted to their hospital and the patient next to me was screaming for them to put her back under the bridge where they found her. Then they sedated her, and left her upright in the chair next to me with no supervision; she fell off face first and smacked her head into the floor. Come here if you want to be treated like this, it's the perfect metaphor for how they will dehumanize and hurt you.
These people don't acknowledge cPTSD is real. Omotayo under Joshua Wong prescribed me pills that have been shown in over 20 peer reviewed to exacerbate symptoms of my disorder. They will just diagnose you with whatever they get a payout for prescribing and then stick with that until you're hospitalized again.
Come here if you want to deal with an incompetent scheduling staff, come here if you want your doctors to refuse to give you medication until your next appointment (which just happened to me and it took legal notices to get them to change their tune). Come here if you want people to not show up for your appointment once you've scheduled and confirmed it. Come here if you want to be treated inhumanly, with people who will make your mental disorder dramatically worse.
Constantly switching my NP’s & Dr. ’s, it takes calling everyday for a week to finally get hold of Dr. ’s assistant to refill prescriptions, never calls back when messages are left, sends in wrong prescriptions when specifically told what the correct rx is, reception staff are the only ones helpful, even though it is not their job to do prescriptions.
Initially I had no issue going to this practice. However, when they switched my doctor from Dr. Najeem to the new doctor that took over his patience, which I will not name. I feel like this doctor has a terrible bedside manner and has no actual concern for patients. I asked about a medication and the reason that the doctor did not want to prescribe it with me is because my insurance may deny it initially and she did not want to deal with having to file an appeal. I am not leaving this review because she didn't give me what I wanted, I'm leaving this review because she shows no concern whatsoever for the patients
I had a wonderful experience with Gabriela in office. I needed a letter from the office. She advised of information needed and length of time to receive letter. She worked with me all the way through process, and I received as promised. Thank you Oaks Counseling for a great employee!
I love the staff and my physician. They are friendly, approachable, and customer oriented.
DO NOT GO HERE! This place is a joke. From scheduling to trying to get the prescription sent to the right pharmacy. Absolutely terrible. I was called the morning of my appointment that the doctor wasn’t in and I have to reschedule. When I signed on for my rescheduled virtual appointment, the doctor was literally an HOUR late and answered the phone about an issue regarding her kid not once but twice. So unprofessional. I saw Dr. Stephanie Omatayo - she was unkept, her hair wasn’t, in my opinion, presentable. Her office was mostly bare expect a few scattered things on the shelf. Just didn’t seem like a credible place. I AM STILL waiting for my prescriptions as they have been sent to the wrong pharmacy 3x now.
