The Oaks reviews
17Found this place on accident, but glad we did. Food was delicious. We got the sirloin steak salad, Ruben, Monte Cristo, and buffalo boneless chicken. The portion of steak with the salad was good, and it was cooked to a perfect med rare. I try to get a Ruben whenever they have it on the menu. Seems like lately everybody is trying to put their spin on the classic sandwich. The Oaks makes a great traditional Ruben. It was perfect. The MC was also a traditional plate. So good, my son had to fend me off with a fork. The atmosphere is nice. Not too casual, but not too button up either. Our server was very polite and helpful. Needless to say, we'll be back.
The venue was great. The food was great and the overall atmosphere great also. My family loved the fire pit outside which made for some great pictures.
Food was okay, not a lot of healthy options but good. Service was great along with atmosphere. No issues. A cozy restaurant with charm.
The atmosphere is unique and the menu is not same old, same old. You can eat indoors or outside. Always have had excellent service. A nice place to go and relax. If you try it once, you will be back.
This is a really cool restaurant and venue. Everything we tried was tasty and the service was excellent. The dirty martinis were well made and the deserts were awesome. Great place for a family event or a quiet dinner. The kids loved the outdoor garden area.
This place is filthy and poorly ran. Waited 20 mins for a cold coffee. Table was dirty, high chair was dirty, wine glass was dirty. Severely understaffed - they're trying to make it run but the poor attitude from the staff doesn't help either. Would not come back here or recommend to anyone.
We made a reservation for 15 and they weren't ready for us when we got there. Luckily a large table opened up next to another large table, so that worked out OK. The food was mostly really good, but they added a 25% gratuity. The problem with that was that someone had to ask for a spoon for their bowl of gumbo. And the server never came to check on us. Anytime we needed something we had to flag someone down and ask for it. Terrible service, especially for the prices.
Disappointing breakfast and coffee
I was looking forward to having a nice breakfast at this place, but I was sorely disappointed. The food was poor quality, the coffee was cool and bland the service is overall.
Worst italian food for the price cold tastelss bland pasta.felt like sitting in a market place to eat so noisy not at all a fine dining restaurant.don't waste your time here if you want ambience for a family.

When I pulled up there was a syco truck outside I should have known
The food service was good
The hamberger was ok but not great
The cheese was ok but not great
The wings were average
All together I think most reviews on here don't know good food if they rate it as the best ever
Plenty of parking more of a neighborhood place for kids
This is a great place. The restaurant is located in a community center. This restaurant is dog friendly on the patio. They have a conservatory that they can hold events in. There is an area for kids to play and run around. The food is excellent and the people are very friendly. The Oaks is located in a new community, and the service is very fast. You will enjoy the bar and atmosphere and location of this restaurant. It was an excellent experience.
We made a reservation 20 days in advance for 20 people, 10 days before we called to add 10 more people, they told us that everything was ready and reserved for the scheduled date and time. Our reservation was for 2pm on Saturday, November 4, we arrived at 1.45pm and they still did not have the tables ready.they told us that they had to fix everything and even clean the floor with soap and water to place our tables, we had to wait 30 minutes for them to arrange the tables, while we already had all the guests standing waiting for our tables to be ready. I find it very bad on the part of the manager or owner that having made a reservation so long in advance they would leave us all waiting. And not only that but we only had one waitress (very friendly by the way) in charge of our group. The food was good, everyone was happy with it but we had a bad time waiting.
A very welcoming environment. I was there today around noon…the food was good, there was live music…amazing beautiful aesthetic! Our waitress did ok, we did not require much.
While the culinary presentation attains an admirable standard, the gustatory elements of the dining experience fall short of commensurate excellence. The anticipation aroused by the visually stunning Caesar salad was met with disappointment, as the dressing proved wanting in zest. A parallel theme resonates in the shrimp tacos, wherein aesthetic allure precedes a culinary letdown. This thematic inconsistency extends to the wedge salad, where the underwhelming depth of the blue cheese mirrors the broader flavor deficiencies observed. Even the venerable dirty martini succumbs to disappointment. Thus, the overall atmospheric ambiance remains stellar, yet the gastronomic narrative awaits refinement to align with the establishment's visual prowess.
The Oaks kitchen & Bar is located in a well to do residential neighborhood. When you first enter the restaurant you instantly get the feeling, to you have entered into a very snooty sophisticated members only establishment. But right away, you learn your assumptions were completely unjustified. The place does have a sophisticated look, but the staff (especially Crysta amazing person) and the patrons are not snooty at all. This place is a spot you can come and relax at the beautiful bar, or even enjoy a wonderful meal in the dining area. There's also outside dining, if you prefer to enjoy the natural beauty of the surroundings.
Quesadilla- (chicken) Nice size portions that is loaded with chicken, cheese, onions. This dish even though it's listed in the appetizer section, can be enough for many people to have for a dinner entree.
Crab cakes- what a delicious dish.crab cake is made moist and had such a nice flavor to it. Always enjoyed a crab cake that was made with, the right amount of crab meat and stuffing.
Lobster ravioli (4pcs) - one of the most important things about lobster ravioli is the cream sauce. The Oak got that right hands down. You don't get a huge piece of lobster tail. But what you get is quite reasonable.
Crispy chicken sandwich- I always love when a sandwich has a nice soft chewing bun, and this sandwich has that. On top of that the chicken was crispy and not greasy. The fresh toppings was a great addition to this dish.
Dessert- Cheesecake, apple pie egg rolls, crème brûlée, and the toffee cake. All was OMG level in taste, size and presentation.
Great food and great service. It seems as if the servers have been trained on etiquette. Unlike most places. It has a country club feel to it, kind of odd but very nice. I'm pretty sure I saw most of the stepford wives.
If i could give this place 0 stars i would, me and my group have reservations for 7: 30pm we didnt get seated till about 8: 45pm. Once ordered the food didnt arrived till 9: 30pm. Even then, the wrong order was brought, and once corrected my plate was still missing items. Never again.
