The Orthopedic & Sports Medicine Institute reviews
9They were so friendly and able to get us in so fast! They also offer a discount for self pay which was a lifesaver because this kind of treatment can get out of hand cost wise without insurance. I will never take my child anywhere else with or without insurance they were 10x better than cooks children’s when he broke a different bone last year thank you for all that you do!
Discriminatory Treatment Experience
I had a disappointing experience when I called to make an appointment today. From the beginning, the person who answered the phone seemed reluctant to book an appointment for me. I had called earlier to gather information and was simply trying to proceed with "making an appointment. " Unfortunately, it appears that speaking with an accent led to unequal treatment and inadequate service in this place. Disheartening and unacceptable.
I had what appeared to be a pretty clear issue, went to surgery, and more than a week later I have no information as to what was done. I received absolutely no instructions on how to care for the wound except to leave the bandage on for 24 hours. Now I come to find out I was not supposed to bend the joint and may have pulled the internal sutures out. I would have been nice to know that there were internal sutures. Now, I may need another surgery.
Dr. Moore is an amazing doctor. If you have issues with your hip, he does amazing work. Had a total hip replacement done and I wish I had do e it sooner. His staff, the facility and PT are wonderful. Dr. Moore does everything he can. He is caring, he listens and he makes sure you are satisfied with the results. If you need an orthopedic doctor, I highly recommend Dr. Moore
Overall they do a great job, but they book far more appointments than they can handle each day. Every time I saw the surgeon, I waited between 45 minutes to an hour past my appointment time before I was even called into the exam room. This shows a disregard for the patient’s time.
Dr. Boothby reconstructed my ACL & removed a torn meniscus 4 weeks ago. I have had phenomenal treatment by Dr. Boothby and his team. They take time to listen to my concerns or needs, answer my questions, give instructions in a way that can be easily understood, and the compassion is genuine.
There was a hiccup with paperwork that could have caused an issue with my job but it was handled promptly and I was given an avenue to avoid that problem in the future.

Great experience! PA Jeff Curtis was very professional and caring and explained my injury in depth. He reviewed the injury, had x-rays done and completed the cast in 2 hours. Feels great to have more mobility than the temporary cast provided! Highly recommend!
The surgeons are very good. But the front office staff are some of the rudest, least friendly people ever. And be prepared to wait at least an hour in the waiting room and another hour in the treatment room for your minute of time with your surgeon post surgery. Surely there are quality orthopedic surgeons in Fort Worth whose front office employees make you feel welcome and the schedule runs on time.
The care is good and that’s why I’m giving it 3 stars. But, the front desk did not inform me they were running behind, so I had to end up waiting over 40 minutes and I even showed up early. The wait is too long and I understand that
Can happen but they should have atleast informed me at the beginning.
