The Owners Box reviews
14 A very "mid" sports bar, great service but bland burgers and lack of options.
Go to Bob's or Texas Spice. They are worth it.
Everything about this place is awesome! We, the MK ladies, had dinner there twice, and the food was great and the staffs were very kind and accommodating each time!
Food is great
Came out quick
Workers are very nice
Great pic over the other restaurants and the bathrooms are nice and clean
Variety of seating
Great experience
There was a mix up with my order, but thankfully I was given the correct order to go and wasn't charged. However, both the burger and the chicken sandwich are both good menu options.
The service was great. The waitress suggested her favorite and popular items with little prompting. The bar looked spacious. They have wheelchair accessible tables. There was no wait to be seated.
We did not get much of a refill until the end of our meal. There are plenty of tv’s showing various sporting events.
Bathrooms were very clean and well stocked.
The choice of evening snack was good, the server we had forgot what we ordered and had to come back to the table after a period of time and asked what it was we wanted. After we were served he disappeared until check time. Very sad experience for our first time here, as a suggestion on the very large TV sports is more appropriate than Jimmy Kimmel even after 11: 00pm.
Overall a real disappointment. Started off with the greeter. She seemed unhappy to be employed. Asked for outdoor seating, and she just handed us a menu and said you'll need to order food at the bar. After going outside and seeing the wooden picnic tables, we opted to sit inside. We found a table, next to the window. Asked the waitress working the section, if this table was available. She also looked put off, and said you'll need to talk to the hostess. So we walked back to the front and asked if we could have this table. She sat as at the table we requested. Now the waitress, you could tell was put off that we were sitting at the table. Very lackadaisical service, and sat for over 10 minutes waiting for our check. Found a manager, he apologized, and then left. The waitress came out, put the check on the table and didn't say a word. Going elsewhere to watch the game tonight. On the good side, the club sandwich was good!
The service and food were pretty good. I will return.
Update: When I returned home, I realized I was charged for two tickets. Both are over $100. I am currently trying to get in touch with management to no avail. Whoever is answering the phone and hanging up and putting it to voice mail needs to be trained better. People don't want to BS around about their money. I will Update when if and when I get a return call.
Update: I got a message to call Rosie Garcia, Assistant Chief Financial Officer. She was more than happy to rectify the issue. Within 20 minutes, she resolved the issue and was very apologetic.
I’ve been going to the Owner’s Box for about 9 years. They are getting more & more disappointing with each visit AND I still keep giving them chances. First, I’ll start by saying our server was great & made great drinks at the bar (I sat at the bar). I went here on Sunday 5/14 with a relative. We both ordered Buffalo wings. The wings were TERRIBLE. Barely ANY sauce/absolutely NO flavor. A waste of money. A frozen bag of Buffalo wings from Walmart would’ve probably tasted much better. The wings and flavor used to be great! It’s also disappointing that they ONLY have BBQ and Buffalo flavor. If I come back, I will never order the wings again. Adding a picture, the presentation is fine but the wings in the picture only look good if you’re currently hungry. Don’t be deceived.
Wonderful Service (Hostess introduced the variety of places to sit, the waitress who was the bartender as well was kind and checked on us multiple times, engaged in polite conversation)
-Setting (Sitting arrangements, style, colors stood out as sporty to classy casual. Maybe because it's connected to a fancy restaurant)
No vegetarian options except a veggie burger, very expensive. Right inside the Omni hotel and so convenient if you don't want to walk around the downtown.
Fun atmosphere and good drinks. It's a little overpriced, but it's what you would expect for a bar in a hotel.
Good but the chicken Cobb is made with nuggets. But go to Hens and Hops right across the street for superior chicken tenders and salads with chicken.
Their tea is really good as well as their fries and their burger those fries don't come with the burger that I had that was a barbecue bacon burger with fries and then those Fries Are fries with cheese and bacon so if you come to the Omni Hotel in Downtown Dallas I recommend the owners box there is another couple of restaurants around but I would recommend that one
