Worst German cockroach infestation I have seen in my life. This place is absolutely disgusting. Definition of landlord special. Terrible mold that they do nothing about. Terrible terrible place to live, don’t let them trick you into signing a lease.

We have lived at the Palms for 4 years now. We have recently moved into a 2 bedroom here at the Palms. Simple things that needed attention, John, was happy to take care of. He was very professional and was willing to work with me to arrange time to follow up on the issue I had.

I am so happy with the decision to move into The Palms on SPID. It’s very quiet and peaceful. The property manager Priscilla is always willing to assist with anything I need. Melanie is also attentive to my needs as well. Both are very friendly, understandable, and knowledgeable. Im very pleased.

The place is pretty, but thats it. Idk if the workers hate their jobs or the tenants more. It was so hard to even move in, office never answers the phone and never responds to voicemails. When I did move in, the apartment was not move-in ready. Multiple outlets didn’t work, one light fixture isn’t even installed there is just a hole in the wall, and tops of cabinets had chunks of drywall on them. Sending in maintenance requests does nothing, and they’ll even go as far as clearing the requests you’ve put in when they haven't been completed. The only time maintenance requests are completed are when I call the office multiple times a week (for weeks on end) and ask for it to be done. Who has time for that? In my time here, I have put in at least 20 maintenance requests and only 1 was completed. I have reported mold and all the office tells us is to ‘wipe it off and spray with bleach. ’ They either don’t understand how mold works or they just don’t care. As well, originally I requested an apartment with washer dryer connections, which they said would be slightly more expensive than without w/d connections. I said it’s fine. Months later, when it came time to renew the lease, they said I was now required to pay a monthly fee of $35 for having these connections? Even though I was originally told base rent would be higher for them? I don’t have proof of this as it was a verbal statement, so nothing I can do but pay up. But if you’re paying over 1200 a month, it’d be nice if the workers did what they’re paid to do.
Overall, every single worker here will play nice just to get you to sign the lease. After that they are apathetic and rude. PLEASE listen to the things reviews saying, and make sure to tour and check your EVERYTHING in an apartment before being trapped by a lease.

The leasing staff was super helpful, especially Melanie, she kept me updated through the whole application/leasing process. Also I’d like to thank the Managers Norma and Bianca for working with me and getting me into an apartment as seamlessly as they did.

I did an apartment tour recently, it meet all of my expectations, from the moment I walked in till the time I walked out. The greeting from the staff was so welcoming, explainable and understanding. The location to these appointments is so great to where it’s so close to everything you need. The big plus me, was that is pet friendly! Once again Thank you to the staff for their time and help.

If I could give this place a -5 stars, I would. The Palm is the last place you want to live. There’s way too many problems to type, but there are a few things you must know before moving in. Roaches, leaks, mold, and sirens are just the start to all of the problems. None of the amenities are open or work, the staff is very rude and does not care about anything but money. If you are able to avoid these apartments, please do.

I recently went on an apartment tour that exceeded all my expectations. From the moment I stepped into the building, I was greeted by friendly and professional staff who made me feel welcomed valued.
The tour itself was incredibly informative. They answer all my questions.
They are pet-friendly as well

YOURE GOING TO WANT TO READ THIS AND AVOID MOVING HERE AT ALL COSTS! Moved in, in 2021 and immediately had an issue with German roaches. First pest control they had came to exterminate and left the hundreds of dead roaches in the kitchen for me to clean, on top of breaking the liner on my front door that was NEVER fixed. Because of the horrid job the first pest control did, another pest company had to come in and exterminate again. Within the 2 years I lived there I also had 2 rats and my neighbor had 3! My mailbox was freely open to anyone and to this day still hasn’t been fixed. The best part of this all; THE FRONT OFFICE LOST A $900 MONEY ORDER I GAVE THEM FOR RENT! When I went to have it refunded, I was informed by the credit union it had been cashed. They posted my money to another account and swept it under the rug until I had written proof that they were in possession and it was cashed. Good luck trying to get anything repaired as well as it is next to impossible. These apartments are outdated and the front office is not worth the headache, your time or your money! Proceed with caution!

DO NOT RENT FROM HERE! I don't care if it looks nice and it's a good price, it's NOT worth it. I lived here for a year and had at least one problem every month the entire time I lived here. I wasnt going to leave a review, but I moved out in July and am still having issues with them nearly 4 months later, so I figured it was time. They can't hold management or maintenance employees and the employees they have do things to the bare minimum and most convince to them. Our AC broke and wasn't fixed for 3 days (not to mention that it constantly leaked and caused mold and no one would fix it the entire time we were there), our stove broke and wasn't fixed or replaced for over 2 weeks, our water heater broke and they graciously gave us the keys to another vacant apartment that had rat poop everywhere old dried eyelashes stuck to the counters and literal dirt in the shower, and lastly, after filing our final check in the incorrect place they contacted a debt collector claiming we had not paid yet (what we are currently dealing with almost 4 months later). Thankfully we had reciepts from our cashiers check and our bank to prove we had paid on time and in the correct way. This is barely touching the tip of the iceberg. When we tried to give our notice at the end of our lease, they refused to let us until it was too late (after going into the office to do so 4 separate times before the 60 day mark) and then they tried to charge us for a late notice. The apartments themselves have cockroaches that cannot be taken care of with any amount of cleaning and care and when brought to the attention of the leasing office (several times), nothing was done. The only positive thing that I can say about this place is the big parking spots and getting out of there but even that didn't keep the issues at bay. Management always seems annoyed when anything is brought to their attention and maintenance was always rude and always seemed inconvenienced to be there. I'll finish this with the fact that their "ammentities" were poorly taken care of and were closed a majority of the time. Their attempt to change rules and make things better only worsened it and I can whole heartedly tell you that this is one of the worst places you can live in corpus christi.
