The Parador reviews
7Beautiful place, beautiful grounds. This restored, Moorish looking building is perfect for wedding receptions (my daughter's was here and it was incredible), wine tastings, parties, meetings or whatever else you can imagine. Not sterile looking like so many event venues. Full of character and beauty.
Love this Venue! Sheila & Stacey are amazing to work with! A Wedding Planners Dream Venue! - Every Wedding / Event here is just so Gorgeous!
Parador is one of the most beautiful, upscale weddings and quinceaneras venues, reception halls, salones de fiesta in Houston, Texas! Quinceaneras Gallery - Juan Huerta Photography has been there and can definitely recommend this venue for its gorgeous, Spanish looks and great service!
Do not book your wedding here. Exorbitant prices and they hire scam security guards. Our car was broken into with a smashed window, everything of value stolen, and the security sitting there with his phone on Youtube. Absurd practices and you’re better off anywhere else!
My wife and I reserved The Parador for a 10/10/2020 wedding.
According to our contract, our final payment was due 4/10/2020 (just before covid). We paid $7,000 in total to reserve the venue.
When it became apparent that Covid restrictions would not allow us to host a 200 guest wedding, we asked the Parador staff to refund our deposit - 5 months in advance of our wedding.
The Parador staff were unwilling to compromise; and never offered a cent as a refund. After several emails and calls, we received a note/warning from an owner named Deborah Keyser. (I’m going to call her “Deb”)
Deb said we were not entitled to a refund - BUT - if they could rebook our date (in the midst of Covid), she would be kind enough to refund us 1/2 of our deposit ($3,500). Apparently, the global Covid pandemic did not satisfy Deb’s interpretation of the contract’s force majeure clause.
Worth noting - literally every other vendor we had hired accommodated our requests for refunds.
Please use my $7,000 lesson to book ANYWHERE else. We used the grove at discovery green. For sure less expensive - and way nicer.
Thanks for nothing, Deb and team. Hope you’re riding high on profit you made from a pandemic!
Fun private party. Would have given five stars, but the restroom ran out of paper towels half way through the night and everyone had to drip dry their hands. Staff either had their own restroom, or didn't care enough to restock.
