The Pavilion at Great Hills reviews
16I am very happy with the care of my 87 year old Mom here. The place is very clean, the staff is most helpful, knowledgeable, and friendly, the facility is well laid out and furnished, as is Mom’s apartment. I most highly recommend this facility for a self sufficient (can bathe and use the bathroom themselves) elder.
It was overall good. Mr Buckman’s room smells like urine. He was in good spirits. The staff are always friendly.
I enjoyed visiting a friend who is a resident of Pavilion. I stayed for lunch, which I found tasty. The waiter was extremely attentive, as was the person at the front desk.
They facility is beautiful. My dear friend has received good care. The only problem is that she is unable to fill her bird feeder due to a problem with the landscaping company. It is a shame because she is a bird watcher. She is 95 years old and for her not to be able to enjoy this one thing is a shame.
I'm happy to recommend The Pavilion at Great
Hills where my wife and I lived the past 4 years. The staff was caring and a great help to us. They are professional and sincere sensitive to the needs of each. Tara and Ade were special caregivers, above and beyond. They took especially good care of us during the covid lockdown carefully following all preventive protocols.
The staff was polite and helpful. Food looked good and was enjoyed by Resident. The facility was clean and had adequate staffing to care for the Residents who appeared to be relaxed and content.
I had lunch with my husband and my MIL in the dining room 9/19/22. Daniel was amazing with his service. Also a cook was helping to serve and she was amazing as well. The food was great. Fruit salad, shrimp with peppers, and a blueberry compote with ice cream.
THe facility was very pleasant and clean. Staff was friendly. Accessibility was easy. Parking was a concern because at 9: 40am, I took one of the last 2 spots. My friends had a hard time finding a space.
I visit a resident often. The facility is always clean. Furniture in common areas is arranged nicely. Artwork on the walls has been tastefully selected. Staff knows residents by name. Staff is cheerful and busy when I am there. Activities for the residents are well attended. A monthly birthday party is a nice touch. When care is needed, help is prompt. The few meals I have had were tasty.
The residents and staff are GREAT! Everyone that I have come in contact with have been really helpful. When I arrive to sign in, the young lady greets me and holds a conversation, just as the Med Techs and the RA's. There's one housekeeper that I see on my way out in the mornings who says, "Good Morning or "Have a good day". This is a great environment.
The staff was very helpful especially the front desk lady. The establishment is in very good shape. It looked and felt clean as I was walking down the hallways. Keep up the good work!
My dad is very happy at the Pavilion and we are happy he can continue to live as independently as possible as he ages
Very attentive staff and very compassionate level of service. Follow up to my questions and needs are very prompt and thorough. I live in Los Angeles and can't visit as frequently as I would like but rest well knowing my mother's needs are being taken care of and that she is safe.
The Pavilion at Great Hills
My husband and I are both residents at this
Community. The Pavilion provides both Assisted Living and Memory Care. The facility itself is very clean and well taken care of. The staff are very friendly and caring. They always take the time to listen to you and help in any way they can. This is true for both areas. The residents are also very friendly and welcoming. The food is great, and always served to us piping hot
even if it’s close to the end of the two hour
mealtimes. It is also a nice variety and well done.
We have a chapel, game room, art room, billiards room, and a well stocked library. Our Community bus takes us to appointments every Tuesday and Thursday
(pets also). Wednesday is shopping day with a different store each week. We have a lunch bunch. Residents sign up at the main desk and are bussed to area restaurants. We have lovely courtyards.
Living here at the Pavilion is as close as you can get to living at home. There are activities all day if you wish to participate or not. Sign up for a tour and do it around mealtime and get to see firsthand some of what I have been telling you about. You
may decide to join our Community family.
I have been visiting this facility for some time now. I’ve been very saddened by the big change in the memory care. The director is very nice but also very fake. The activities are horrible. What’s posted on the schedule is not what there actually doing. The director should be ashame of herself. As much as those residents pay really? I believe she needs more training. If the Executive director would spend more time in memory care instead of always sitting at his desk he would see the issues. She doesn’t do her job atleast as far as making sure activities are top priority. Tour these facilities activities are always happening by qualified staff not care staff. She may have the title but no experience. Please if your looking for a memory care and love your loved one do not chose this place. It’s awful. Read all the reviews carefully even if management changed it doesn’t matter. Ask the question to the director do you have memory care experience? NO she doesn’t! She needs a lot of training and she needs to be investigated for the lack of care she gives to the residents.
On behalf of our family, I write to warmly commend the Director of Wellness for her advocacy in favor of our mother's best care, and for her helpful and skilled support. We also wish to recognize and acknowledge those caregivers and other staff members who, over the two years mother lived at the Pavilion, went above and beyond in their thoughtful and experienced care of mother, even when circumstances were most difficult. Their attention and concern for mother was so heartwarming - and especially vital to mother's well-being, particularly during the pandemic. Ultimately, we concluded that the care our mother needed was better provided elsewhere, but we remain immensely grateful to these strong Pavilion team members, and we heartily thank them.
