I visited Dr. Amagoh at The Pelvic Place for a postpartum consultation, and also my first pelvic floor PT appointment ever, and I'm SO glad I did. Her kindness and expertise are truly unparalleled. If you're considering making an appointment, just do it! Bonus stars for genuinely being a baby friendly office as well!

I saw Dr. Amagoh a few weeks ago and had the most helpful experience! She was highly informative, very knowledgeable, and in tune with the concerns I was expressing. I tried Pelvic Floor PT at another practice in Houston first but found that after a month of no progress there, Dr Amagoh’s direct yet sensitive approach worked best for me and brought immediate results! She educated me on the causative factors contributing to my pain and thoroughly explained the treatment plan to get me to my goals. We discussed concerns about my bladder, bowel, vag, back, and abs. I felt comfortable and safe during my pelvic exam and walked out of my first treatment with at least 70% less pelvic pain and 1000% more awareness on what to do, when, and how. I say, this is the BEST MONEY I HAVE EVERRR SPENT in my life! Worth every single penny to be able to have my life back. My advice is, don’t bounce around looking for the cheapest deals… only to still end up here after weeks/months of minimal to no progress! If you want to get better fast and maintain results, go to The Pelvic Place Physical Therapy.

Hands down this was such an amazing experience. I felt heard and well taken care of during my visit. At first I was skeptical as to what could be done but Dr. Amagoh took her time performing examinations on me while educating me on my body and why I was experiencing my issue. We also did an electrical therapy that really helped me contract my floor muscles. The staff was kind (something rare these days). The office is beautifully designed and very clean. If you are having seconds thoughts…Just Do It! You deserve to be healthy in EVERY aspect, you will no regret it.

Dr. Amagoh is amazingly professional and knowledgable. She is amazing at explaining everything and I feel like when I leave she did everything possible to heal me as fast as possible. Completely worth the price because I have gone to her after weeks of very little to no progress seeing a good sports therapist and even stopping the activity completely that irritated the pain. After seeing Dr. Amagoh, I saw significant improvement the first week and did not have to go back because after the second week the pain was nearly gone after 8 weeks of no progress prior to my visit. Being very athletic, that was a frustrating amount of time to not see progress. This was not my first visit to her and progress was equally quickly then and I was surprised at how few visits I needed to make for everything to be healed perfectly. If you are frustrated with time and money spent to heal any pelvic floor issues, don’t waste any more anywhere else.

My baby had just turned one and I was still desperate for relief. My lower back and hip pain was literally crippling. After one session with Dr. Esther Amagoh I was able to play on the floor with my baby. Something I haven’t done comfortably since his birth. Dr. Amagoh‘s expertise and personalized approach significantly helped my pain. It’s almost non-existent and I’ve only gone twice! I am so grateful for her exceptional care & advice!

Where do I begin? Words literally cannot express how unique, comforting, and lovely Dr. A and The Pelvic Place PT is. The minute you walk in, it’s instant comfort with a dash of glam. (Referring to the stunning crystal chandelier Hanging with dim lighting). You instantly feel the intimacy and privacy The Pelvic Place provides. If that alone makes you feel more at ease before getting to meet with the doctor, thats my sign right there that this doctor is top notch. More than that, passionate and genuinely listens and cares about out how each and every one of her patients feel. Dr. A goes more than above and beyond to develop a trust and level of comforting reassurance that you’re in good hands with the sensitive subjects a lot of people don’t talk about. It’s a judgment free zone and just the love for people and determination to help that I witnessed was nothing less than admirable. She inspired me in many ways and I thank her for that immensely! The Pelvic Place Physical Therapy, Dr. Amnagoah and staff will leave you feeling seen, heard, appreciated, and educated at the very least. Hopefully feeling better as well! Some things take more than one sedition. But honestly, This is really a one of a kind experience that can only be made possible by someone’s true passion for what they do. If I could give 10 stars I would. From decor, to treatment, snacks, getting to know Dr. A, and everything in between- She knows what she’s doing and it’s just something you have to experience yourself. Did I mention SNACKS? ! Prepared to be in awe, as I was, while eating your snacks and enjoying your view in the room. I COMPLETELY RECOMMEND. 300 percent. 100 stars ️ Thank you Dr. A, for everything! I’ll be back soon.

Made an initial appointment; was told it would last 60-90 mins and to come in early to finish paperwork.

Appointment time: 8: 00, first appointment of the day
Arrived: 7: 45 to finish paper work
Doctor came in: 8: 47. No apology or explanation given.
At 9: 45, told the Doctor I needed to go; unfortunately we were not done. She told me that appointments usually last 60-90 mins, but if I needed shorter appointments they could accommodate me next time. (?)

Bottomline: I arrived early because I respect your time. Please respect mine.

I cannot rave about my experience here enough! From entering you are made to feel so welcome by friendly staff. Before my examination I had time to lay down and relax with various heat pads, water and snacks, I honestly felt like I was at a spa!

Dr Amagoh is wonderful! She’s knowledgeable, experienced, approachable and friendly. She made me feel at ease throughout the whole process. Something that really stood out was the teaching, Dr Amagoh guides you through what she is doing in real time and explains what she is assessing and looking for, teaching you how to be aware of your own body.

It really was a great experience and I would encourage anyone who is experiencing pelvic issues of any kind to see Dr Amagoh and her team at the Pelvic Place.

I never wanted to leave a bad review but here I am. I had 3 appointments with Dr. Amagoh and was denied insurance reimbursement. Upon declination, I was asked by bcbs to provide medical records to support the bill. I asked this facility/Dr. Amagoh specifically and was told I would receive the documentation "on monday" or "by the end of the week" and "by the end of the day". I have not yet received this paperwork and I dont think they ever intended to send it. Why? No clue. What is there to hide? I also dont appreciate Dr. Amogoh answering the phone or calling me pretending to not be.herself? She will say "i will let the doctor know". Girl its YOU, stop trying to fool people. I am not as dumb as you think obviously. So, almost 1k spent with nothing to show-no real progress in my condition. I have since started therapy at Empower Yourself in Bellaire- which has proven to be soo much better. The assessment was much more thorough and no push to "buy a package of appointments" (Pelvic place pushed me multiple times per appointment to buy a package, so glad I didnt) or products. Not to mention its close to $100 cheaper per appointment. Be cautious if you go here. Whatever they do with the codes do not allow for reimbursement easily and that matters when they refuse to send you the needed documentation-leaving you with out of pocket expenses. No thanks!:)

In my first visit with Dr. Amagoh she realigned my pelvis and performed treatment that instantly gave me relief in my back and legs. She was very informative and performed magic on my back. Thank you

Before meeting doctor Amagoh, I went to another PT for pelvic issues and didn't get a proper diagnosis / treatment. I thought that was as good as it gets and that PT was simply not what I needed.

However, with Dr. Amagoh I saw visible results in just one session!

Dr Amagoh has made such a dramatic difference in my daily life and I can’t stop referring her to friends. She talks you through every step and really listens to your every concern. I feel very comfortable talking to her after an OBGYN insisted that I needed surgery. I’m so glad I sought out a second opinion!
Wish I’d found her 15 years ago after my child was born but better late than never!

Rare review from a male patient coming through. Back in November 2017 - I'd imagine almost exactly 6 years ago from this current date - I contracted what seemed to be a bad case of acute bacterial prostatitis. Just what I needed; I already had years of pelvic dysfunction, almost entirely in the form of urinary urgency, for years before the bacterial prostatitis. Long story short, the prostatitis made my situation much worse. I tried to get help from doctors. One told me that my problem didn't exist and the other told me that my prostatitis would just hopefully get better and that there really wasn't much we could even do. So, I've suffered for about 6 years as my condition got better at a snail's pace due to some basic things like exercise and other common sense things that people tell you to do when you have a chronic condition.

Two months ago, I decided that going on like this was unacceptable. And it always had been, of course! But I think a big part of why I never sought help earlier was because I felt so disempowered by what doctors and the Internet had told me about my condition. Well, I decided to actually try and find a physical therapist and came across Dr. Amagoh's office. She was able to diagnose that I seem to be mostly suffering from a very tight pelvic floor and she's decreased my symptoms dramatically in just around 6 visits over these past two months. The appointments are fairly long, usually around 2 hours, so you get a pretty good amount of service for your money.

The experience here is absolutely worth the time and money, too. In contrast with the doctors I saw in the past, Dr. Amagoh will hear out everything you have to say about your condition and, if there's something to be done about it from a physical therapy perspective, I imagine she'll know how to do it. The fact that she listens creates the opportunity for you to bring your own questions and research to the table where a traditional doctor probably won't bother to hear you out. I was able to increase the quality of my care by cracking open a copy of "A Headache in the Pelvis" (if you don't already have this book, you should buy it) and talking to Dr. Amagoh about something in the book that matched my condition, so that shows the importance of advocating for yourself.

Aside from all of that, the staff is nice, the office is nice, you get snacks.it is also pretty fun to talk to Dr. Amagoh once you've both gotten all of the business of diagnosing the issue out of the way. My symptoms haven't vanished at this time, though I don't think they need to; my treatment here has given me a lot of hope and confidence that my condition CAN be treated and that I have control in that outcome. Definitely would recommend this office for anybody with a pelvic problem.

Dr. Amagoh and her assistant, Courtney, were welcoming and amazing. I am happy that I stumbled across her business. Dr. Amagoh put me at ease discussing my pelvic issues and, to my surprise, a few adjustments to help me in the long run. Thank you for a pleasant experience!

Dr. Amagoh is awesome. Her sessions are extreme informative and comfortable. The sessions start off very relaxing in a dim room with warm heating pads which relax your mind and your body. I go to her for postpartum care, primarily DRA and pelvic floor issues. She is very thorough and walks me through each step. I’ve only gone to a few sessions so far and I’ve already notice a difference. I strongly recommend her.

Dr Amagoh is incredibly professional and knowledgeable on all things pelvic floor. I saw her towards the end of my pregnancy as it was my second pregnancy and really wanted to avoid tearing and sure did avoid tearing this time around thanks to Dr Amagoh & The pelvic place PT.

Postpartum I saw her again for diastasis recti and I saw results in one visit. By my 3rd visit I no longer had DR. She gave me a lot of tools to help my overall well being going forward! She gave me my confidence back

Dr. Amagoh was incredible! I’ve been experiencing hip pain for a year and she did more for me in one visit than any other doctor or physical therapist has been able to. I’m also pregnant and I’m excited to continue seeing her for pain as well as for labor preparation. The entire staff was so friendly and fun. I would highly recommend for anyone and everyone!

First, I want to say that Dr. Amagoh and her staff were extremely kind and accommodating for me and the kids I brought with me. I was very grateful for that. My concern is that i don’t feel like her diagnosis and recommendations for my prolapse issues were helpful. She diagnosed me with a stage 3 rectocele and recommended trying to suck in my abdominals almost all of the time (as well as other tightening exercises). She also indicated that surgery would likely be needed and that I needed a pessary ASAP. I felt very distressed about the diagnosis and also very uncomfortable with the recommended exercises. I decided to get a second opinion, and I have since learned that my prolapse isn’t that severe and that a pessary is definitely not necessary. I have also been assured that with exercise and strengthening different parts of my body, the prolapse will improve. Maybe she is really helpful with other issues but I would definitely get a second opinion for prolapse stuff.

I truly never knew I was aware I needed pelvic physical therapy until my Gyno referred me to Dr. Amagoh for my SI joint pain. After one visit I saw tremendous results, her exercises she sent me home with worked wonders.

Dr. Amagoh is amazing! Extremely knowledgeable and has helped so much with my late pregnancy pain. I wish I had gone to see her earlier. She is extremely personable and cares greatly about her patients and area of practice. I highly recommend her.
