Have really enjoyed my 3 years here. Buildings are set apart, stays relatively quiet and people respectful. Nice apt and appliances. Perfect complex for dogs - large dog park, trails around perimeter, and neighboring Travis Country great for walks with more trails to be had. 5 miles from downtown. Management and maintenance very good.

I'm very pleased that I selected this community to live in. Staff has been exceptional nice and accommodating. Great value for a updated and fresh apartment. Lots going on within the community. Pool and property are very well maintained. I really enjoy it and the amenities. Great decision!

If i could leave 0 stars, i would.

**LOOK @ MY ATTACHED PICS HERE - THE "CLOSED-GATED COMMUNITY" SYSTEM HERE IS A JOKE - THE GATES ARE ALWAYS OPEN! OR PEOPLE JUST TAIL OTHER CARS INTO THE COMMUNITY! THIS, + A LACK OF SECURITY CAMERAS = STOLEN & BROKEN-INTO CARS, CONSTANTLY! *

after 6 mos of living here, my brand-new car that i worked hard for myself, was stolen from my assigned parking spot, right underneath a carport that i pay an additional fee for monthly.my new car was just 1 of 5 total cars stolen from this apartment complex over the course of 1 weekend.in addition to auto-theft being a regular occurrence here, our cars are also consistently broken into + jacked for their expensive parts & tools, & our expensive personal belongings kept in our cars.the perfect Trifecta here that leads to insecurity, & unsafe living conditions for all of we residents, our respective cars & pets are: 1.) the closed-gate community & system being an absolute joke 2.) the security patrol is barely ever here & apparently completely worthless, and 3.) The Preserve didn't/doesn't to this day: have any security cameras etc installed on or/and around the carports themselves (which doesn't make any logical sense whatsoever, given that they obviously, typically are housing the newer, more expensive models/cars in the complex's car population) or around/on the remainder, majority residential free parking - all led to my car + 4 other residents' cars being stolen, due to the negligence, willful ignorance, & ferocious greed + cheapness of the Preserve @ Travis Creek, Greystar, & their complex management here.in addition, the leasing agents are consistently incompetent, one after the other, & have high, one-year turnovers.the leasing agents here only stay for 1 yr bc they get a decent discount on their rent if they live in the complex themselves as residents while they work here. Marian, in particular, screwed me over personally & refused to take any responsibility or accountability whatsoever of the fact that she dropped the ball on a request of mine entirely, + never communicated any info back to me, which ultimately lead to bogus fees worth ~$200 being charged to my account (which, of course, they refused to remove, & i had to pay in order to avoid even further bogus fees & unethical consequences). TLDR: AVOID LEASING AGENT MARIAN AT ALL COSTS, FOR THE SAKE OF YOUR BANK ACCOUNTS & FUTURE!

while the maintenance staff are nice overall, bc they are so overwhelmed & nonstop busy with service/maintenance requests (thanks to the cheap interiors & caliber of the apartment units), it takes over several, several days for a simple, basic request to get fully resolved to your liking. Even when it's an emergency, they're quicker, but still definitely take much too long for emergency-level situations. POR EJEMPLO - i, along w many of my fellow neighbor-friends have had many issues with our A/C not working at all, nor getting near as cool as what you have it set to on your thermostat during this record-breaking, hot af Texas summer we're still in the middle of having. My water heater has been replaced with supposedly a new 1, & yet, i still encounter frequent issues w my A/C functioning properly or well at all, to this very day.

The dog park's surrounding & interior gates/gating are breaking down, unsafe, & pose a threat to we residents &our beloved dogs at the park.until just recently, for 3 straight mos all of our belongings & property on our private, rent-included-balconies had to be completely cleared off & stored elsewhere than our said private balconies.despite all of we residents being unable to utilize our paid-for, private balconies for 3 back-to-back mos, they denied our ask for a refund, reimbursement, or account credit of any kind accounting for their decision that directly led to all of we residents' inability to use our private, accounted-for-in-rent balconies.

TLDR: stay far, far away for your own good.they're nasty, greedy, incompetent, & relentless.consistently v shady.function & operate on NEGATIVE MORALS + ETHIC CODE!

Such a beautiful community tucked away in the west side of the city. Super friendly staff, fast and friendly maintenance. The community is set in a very gorgeous location surrounded by trees with great amenities

I lived at the Preserve from 2007-2009 and loved it. In between jobs I moved back for 5 months this year and was sorry about my choice. The Preserve says they have no record of my lease (and they have not responded to my emails or calls as they claim in their counter message.) I have a record of my lease from February-July 2023 this year. I also have email records where they call me "Louis" or don't respond at all to complaints or concerns. I recommend Hudson Miramont a short distance down the road. I lived there for 3 years, and they were wonderful.

Apllying and gaining residency at the Preserve at Travis Creek could not have been easier due to the professionism of Jessica, the leasing agent I worked with. She was friendly and effiecient. She gets an A+ from me!

Loved living here. Nice location and friendly neighbors. I love the dog park and the trails. I wish I didn't have to pay for Fetch because I don't use it.

Their building numbering system is not very visible and maddening. It makes little sense and management obviously doesn’t care. Should give an idea about lack of attention to detail.

I left one star because you can’t leave zero. These people are vultures, do not sign your name with these people. I have been out of my lease agreement for almost a year and these people continue to pester my wife and I with bogus charges (trash fees, false termination fees etc) save yourself some sanity and find a different apt outside of the Greystar umbrella and rent a house.

I decided I should leave an HONEST review of this place before I move out, since when I was apartment shopping reviews were critical for me in my decision.

Overall, I loved living here and would re-sign if I wasn't moving to another city. If you are wanting something a little bit away from the hustle and bustle of the city while still being close, this place is perfect for you. Here are my pros and cons of the preserve at travis creek:

Pros:
*Quiet, safe location
*Nice amenities
*Resident activities are so fun and really helped me feel at home. (My roommates and I go to all of them and have gotten close to Carissa-the resident activity leader). She always puts in a lot of effort for resident charcuterie nights, happy hours, crafts, etc.
*During the winter storm I felt very taken care of. The staff at the preserve purchased 150 meals for residents so we wouldn't be stranded with no food in our apartment during the storm. (its the little things that really stuck with me about this place)
*My roommates and I used the office's free espresso machine and gift wrapping station more than we care to admit. We love that they have this here and have gotten to know Rue from our daily coffee runs and he is always very kind and welcoming to us.
*Maintenance is fast and knowledgeable

Cons:
*Location isn't in the middle of all the excitement in Austin, if that is what you want. There isn't much to do in the area if you don't like nature.
*This apartment does an EXCELLENT job of maintaining the premises. Like even when it doesn't need to be maintained and looks perfect already. This means I have heard lawn care, construction, etc.for most of the time I have been here, which is kinda annoying.
*We were charged fees very quickly for things we didn't even know we did wrong. Had we not challenged them with the office, we would have paid over $300 in unnecessary fees
*I use the back yoga studio a lot, and have noticed an increase in bugs there. We are in a very woodsy area so bugs in general are common on the trails and at the back pool.
*Trash valet is annoying with all the rules, fees, and lack of recycling. It is hard to dispose of all of our trash, especially big boxes. They don't come on the weekend so we often have bags of trash just hanging around in our place for a few days. I would prefer to walk my trash to the bin and not pay for this fee every month.
*Package theft has been a concern. I have never had issues but management added a new system through the company "fetch" to address this issue. I haven't tried it because it seems like a pain so I risk it with my packages but sometimes I get scared to send expensive things here.

I loved this property while I lived there from 2021-2022. When my roommate and I moved into a 2b2ba we signed for 1,554. We received our ONE YEAR renewal and our new offer was for 2,000/mo. Absolutely ridiculous and pricing out lower-middle income folks. No empathy from front desk.

I highly recommend the Preserve! Rue, our leasing agent, is one of the friendliest and most helpful I've ever encountered. He was extremely knowledgeable about the complex and all its amenities, and patiently answered all my questions, working with us to find an apartment that met our specific needs and preferences. They went above and beyond to ensure that everything was taken care of and that I had a positive experience.

The complex is well-maintained and nicely landscaped (even after this year's ice storm!), creating a welcoming and serene environment. The apartments themselves are very spacious and modern, with updated appliances and plenty of natural light. This apartment complex offers the best of both worlds for living: a peaceful and quiet environment in close proximity to downtown. Located in a quiet and super nice neighborhood, we've enjoyed tranquility and calmness of the surroundings, away from the hustle and bustle of the city. However, the complex is just a short distance away from downtown, which is just awesome. Also, the staff has been attentive and friendly so far.

The Preserve is a great place to live. Rue was our point of contact during our application and move in process. He made sure to answer any questions we had. Made sure we understood the charges and information we needed to get approved. Once approved getting the keys to our new home was an easy process Rue made sure to work around our schedule in order to get us home. This is a beautiful complex and they were helpful during the recent winter storm. Gave out food and kept us updated on things going on.

If you truly want to know, just search, "Greystar Properties. " The Property Management Company, and just scrolling through their horrendous reviews will keep you entertained for quite a while.

I truly believe properties such as The Preserve have so much potential and promise; but then somehow get taken over by Property Management Companies like Greystar, whom don't directly reflect the Office Management Team/Happy Maintenance team, etc YET, they still find a way to not only ruin your experience, but just about every other persons experience after a few months. I do feel sorry for those who work here, and whom have to deal with the level of terror that those represent at the Property Management Company - it must be as awful as their reviews perfectly sum them up to be. Please, don't make the same mistake many of us did. Until the Preserve at Travis Creek transitions Property Management Companies, and is not run by Greystar Property Management any longer: Keep searching, because dealing with Greystar is not worth the anxiety, stress and their harassment, false claims, and complete lack of care for respecting you, your mental/emotional health, or your finances (just to say the very least).

I love living here, I’m selling my house (nearby) to fully embrace the lifestyle that this community offers. My dog and I have enjoyed the highest quality of life we have ever experienced while being here. A notable strength offered here is the fact that the office and maintenance teams are so proactive and personable. Come be a part of us, we have social events every two weeks!

Never thought moving into an apartment was so easy. Rue made the application process simple and fast. He answered all our questions. The tour of the apartment complex was beautiful. Great gym and pool area. Rue was on had to make sure we were aware of everything at the complex and what to expect in the application and move in process. He was fast to get some issues resolved. Defiantly will make sure to let others know about this complex and staff. It is a perfect place to live.

This is one of the best communities I have ever visited. It is clean and well kept, and the support I received from the community staff is one of the main reasons I decided to move here. Rue from the leasing office went above and beyond to ensure I found the best apartment unit and pricing that suits all of my needs. I would highly recommend that you get in touch with Rue if you are considering a move here:)

We’ve been here for a few months and have been very happy with the apartment and property. Rue was our leasing agent; he was fantastic and could not have been more welcoming and informative. He made the whole process of touring the property to moving in easy and seamless. The apartments are beautiful with high-quality finishes and the property itself is super quiet. Coming from downtown, it feels like an upgrade because you get the best of both worlds - a peaceful, nature filled environment while also being very close to the heart of Austin.
