The Retreat at Steeplechase, Houston TX

The audacity of you people. I voiced my concerns the last couple years i lived there.

While living there i had my truck stolen while parked right near the gate. I've had my trailer broken into and a generator stolen. I had to install my own cameras to protect my own property.

I had thousands of dollars in packages stolen. I had the welcome sign stolen off my front porch.

I spoke to management and sent emails. No response or action was ever taken.

I moved out with a month left on my lease i admit that, but the amount of money lost because of your lack of care for your residence does not even begin to compare.

Not to mention 2 months after my truck was stolen my neighbors truck was stolen out of the same spot.

I moved out for fear of my life and my property.

I applied for an apartment. They was trying to get rental verification from my other apartments. They said the email came back as a bad email but when I sent it on my personal phone it went through. So basically I lost out on my money and a place to live cause of their system not working right. I asked if I can send it from my phone and they told me no so they kept my money and told me sorry‍️

These apartments are HORRIBLE. The good reviews seem fake bc I’ve talked to a few neighbors & they told me about the roaches and how they get moved into half done apartments. Both of my cousins moved here and BOTH of they apartments wasn’t done! One AC went out after a day! They keep saying maintenance coming for everything that shoulda been done before and they don’t. They waited weeks with no ac. They talkin bout they got a lot of acs broken bc of heat but collecting rent so why is there no money to fix? People telling me it’s been like this FOR YEARS.

The manager always act busy and like she can’t talk to anyone, everybody talks for her! She don’t care what happens around here! How could you care about people and keep giving them horrible Apts! A place they call home. I can see if it was once but read these reviews it’s all the time. BELIEVE WHAT THEY SAY! Might as well move to the hood. They treat you the same. Overpriced for NOTHIN.

I live in these apartments it is horible is the maintenance as well as the office staff.they never listen when you need a maintenance order I have 3 months that the washing machine does not work and they only say to wait I do not recommend them

My only problem is the pictures from the website are not pictures of the actual property. They’re totally different apartments

This property is very clean and well-kept I am impressed with the fact that they pick up the trash. I really love the landscaping and how well it is maintained. This property is very quiet and tranquil and I enjoy it very much
The people are very nice In the pool area is very beautiful and well-kept

Not only did I call one day inquiring about an apartment and was put on hold for 17 mins, but was able to get leasing information…. Went out to tour and an African American lady who never even mentioned her name but I think it was Nicole because she had a cup on her desk with her name on it made me sign up for a self tour which the code never came through and she claimed not to have the key! She was too busy eating her corn dog! What great customer service she provided…. Ugh!

10 months into our lease we wanted to transfer to a bigger unit because I was expecting. Not only did the move in date get pushed Back weeks, the unit was not ready at ALL. Refrigerator missing shelves, dents in doors, bathroom tub peeling, holes in walls, HUGE pest problem.floor was really dusty took us weeks to completely remove the dust. We turned in our inspection form, lease is over they tell us they misplaced the form. Now We owe over $800 to them for carpet that wasn’t new when we moved in. Cars broken into, gate breaks every week. We were laid payed back tenants. Didn’t expect much. I reached out to the assistant manager in regards to the $800 were being charged over 2 weeks still ago no response.

Great management, amazing people and the apartments are very nice and clean. The manager is a great person and the lady I talked to (I wish I remembered her name) was informative and helpful. I would definitely recommend living here.

I moved in and as I was unpacking I saw MULTIPLE problems! I contacted management and was told I could transfer. When I went in the next day to discuss which apartment and she told me I had to pay $200 more. FOR THE SAME FLOOR PLAN! Stacy Peterson has been the worst business person I’ve ever ran into. She told me I can stay in this busted unit, pay $200 more for the same unit or I’ll have 14 days to vacate! I’ve been trying to reach corporate but can’t get them on the phone. The property is nice, but this management is HORRIBLE! I stayed here when Willmax was the management company & I never had problems! They fixed everything. Willmax pls come back!

I moved to Texas from Chicago and let me say first that Texas Natives are wayyyyy better than Chicago lol I move to this apartment complex and fell in love with my townhome. I have a garage and washer & dryer set. Nicole and Alonzo have been nothing but nice since I moved to this complex. Looking forward to living here for a few yrs.

I lived in this apartment complex for a year and the experience was great. The staff is great and very welcoming! Nicole moved me in and was very helpful.

DO NOT MOVE HERE, the rent is high for no reason when these people over these apartments don’t have everything right. It’s always something messed up in the houses something’s not working or broke people steals people things and currently don’t have lights due to a power outage that started at 6: 50 yesterday it’s currently 4: 19 and we still have no lights we should have back up generators for the amount we pay this is ridiculous, this apartments does not care for its people!

Tyra is an amazing manager at this property! Provided great insight on what the property entails and how to move forward with the move in process.

Very nice property. Maintenance comes in a timely matter regardless of being short staff. The front office is very pleasant. The property manager Stacy is the best property manager that this property ever had. The assistant manager Tyra has help me on multiple occasions with my balance. The two leasing agents are hands down the best! Very helpful! Nothing but smiling faces though out the property.

I MOVED in The Retreat in May and OMG SO MANY PROBLEMS I Wish I would have Read the REVIEWS FIRST or I WOULDN'T RENTED HERE!

My experience here, so far is great! It’s a very quiet and friendly complex…also the office personnel (Tyra Thomas) was extremely helpful with everything I needed and ask for, I recently transferred to another unit, and she was very helpful and patient, she made sure everything went well with my move, anything that needed to be fixed or worked on, she got it done ASAP!
