This place is dependable, cheery, and relatively economical considering its location. I would recommend.

I’m living here since 2017. Nice area and very very safe. The management are cool and they select very carefully who can live in the complex. The farwest area is by far the best location to live in Austin, everything is near you like HEB, Walmart, and bus stations are very close to where you live. Can’t complain about anything.

I moved into the Ridge with my partner, in December 2020. And the experience has been outstanding. Leann, Nina, Stacie, Brandon, David, Will, and Eric have helped in any aspect that we've needed help in. And the communication between staff and community is stellar. Anything that needs to be announced is communicated clearly and thoughtfully. Moving here is one of the best moves we've done in Austin. Our last apt is a joke compared to this one.

By far the easiest move-in experience I’ve had! Brandon made the process so simple and was very attentive and personable. I normally have a million questions when I am moving into a new place but he was so thorough that I barely had to ask a thing.
I have been in my unit for about a month and haven’t run into a single issue!

When looking for an apartment Nina Soileau made my life so much easier. She was willing to answer all of my questions, help me get a feel for the community, and was excited to help with anything. She has truly made moving such a special and exciting process.

I just moved into the Ridge Apartments almost a week ago and I'm loving it. I have to thank Nina Soileau for making the process easy and smooth!

I've only been here a little while, so I'll update this if anything changes, but it's been enough time for me to get a good feel for the experience.

Application process:
A word of advice, if your income level is right around the required level, be sure to have plenty in savings, as money in checking does NOT count in your application! This goes for pretty much anywhere, but remembering that beforehand would have saved me a lot of trouble. But that aside, Nina, the manager I worked with, was incredibly helpful. I've lived in a lot of different places but never dealt with management as communicative or on the ball as her, hands down. I've dealt with a lot of managers who have been shady, misleading and elusive, and working with someone who really cares about the tenants is a breath of fresh air.

Community:
The area is nice and quiet, and located right by Mopac and HEB. The complex itself is very pleasant to walk around and features a very nice gym, tennis court and Zen Garden.

Building:
A good thing to know is that the buildings are quite old. This isn't to everyone's taste I'm sure, but the rooms are touched up pretty nicely, and all the utilities all work just fine. The floors + walls are a touch on the thin side, but if you have reasonable neighbors it's not really an issue. I'm a big fan of the carpeting and layout of the place, and so far feel very at home! The living room in my unit has built in book shelves which are super cool, as well as a fireplace and a nice balcony with its own closet attached.

Nice place, nice people!

We love this place. Totally recommended. We went here after a year renting an overpriced and under-managed place near UT campus, and it's so refreshing. The price is great (compared to campus). The location is super awesome: literally across from HEB, great restaurants like Anderson Lane area, close to the Domain for some fancy nightouts and shopping. It also happens to be 5 mins to both of our workplace. So that's a personal win. The front staff is friendly, and willing to help when they can. We got a couple of wrong charges on our bills once or twice, but they fix that real quick.
Talking about quick, the MAINTENANCE crew is the highlight of the Ridge. They might as well call themselves the Flash because of how quick they response to all of our requests. Like within the day of or the next day. And after they fix it, you can review or make comment on the app, and they will come back if you are not happy with the result. Example: our freezer items started to thaw a while ago, and we made an urgent request at 8pm. 9pm somebody showed up, checked the fridge, said that it's not working, gave us another fridge the next day. And there is more, during the process of moving the fridge, they scraped the kitchen wall, I made a comment, they came back next day and fixed the wall. Every place has its flaws, but this team is ready to fix those flaws.
Valet Trash is nice. We thought it was unnecessary until it's cold outside and we don't have to walk to the dumpster.
We have been living here for 2 years now, and sadly about to move to different city due to school, and I hope our next place is as good as here. I moved in here with my gf, then I proposed to her in this apartment, and now she is my wife.

They'll mislead you! The leasing office just wants you to pay all kinds of application fees, then just to reject you for something you already explained to them about. They'll just take your money!

Leasing staff is always a pleasure to deal with. Thank you Leann, Stacy and Nina. You 3 are awesome.

Lots of good things about this place: all interactions with the staff have been pleasant and they are usually helpful, the grounds are pretty well kept, there is abundant parking, and the amenities are pretty good.

The downside is that the units themselves are old and in need of serious repair. That said, the pricing is fair and you get what you pay for.

Overall, a good place for the money.

This place is infested with huge cockroaches inside and out super loud paper thin walls and the electricity goes out every time it rains. Staff is rude and unhelpful. I also had packages stolen from the front office while I lived here. There are much nicer places to leave for way cheaper. Stay clear.

Great apartment complex! Very caring staff that will solve any problems. Amazing gym (no need to buy any membership unless you go super fancy and you like the locker room smell) The staff always makes sure this is your home. If you want to have great location (heb is 3 min away), caring staff, and affordable rent - The Ridge is your choice.

Living here was a nightmare. My privacy was compromised due to unprofessional staff. The office had no communication, whatsoever. Very dishonest, conniving people.

The first time I spoke with the manager on the phone was due to my partner's dog (nothing I had done), and she talked at me and yelled over me. There used to be a staff member who would sit in the parking lot, smoking, playing loud music daily.

Several residents have had similar complaints of move out costs not being discussed in any way, only to receive notification from a debt collector that they owed money for repairs, months later.

They upcharge, and also sent us over to collections, without any notice, for damages from the flood during the hurricane. Water damages were supposed to be repaired by them, and they never did so. Then, months after we moved out, they sent us to collections for a few thousand dollars, claiming that the damage was done by a pet, though the head of maintenance told us that we would not be held responsible for water damage.

When I was living there, I once asked for a copy of the lease, which they never gave. Correspondence was never done in a timely manner. My partner once received a threatening voicemail from one of the staff.

The apartments themselves were filthy, fixtures were all lopsided, due to an old, bad foundation. There were roaches everywhere, even scaling the outside walls during the daytime.

Every resident I've known has said similar things about the units and experiences.

I have to say that when I firstly moved in, I was super excited because according to what I heard, the ridge is supposed to be a very modern apartment complex. I moved in with my cat and they assigned me a little 1b/1b room. However, after I moved in, I found that window was all sealed and there's no way to open it, which means the ventilation of the room is totally on AC, which is so unhealthy, especially when I have a pet with me. The carpet is very old and not even clean when I moved in. The fridge is like a 1000 years old and there are even some cracks inside of it. The walls in the bathroom started to peel off after a short period of time and the inside of the bath tub was peeling off as well. When it rains, the drainage system is horrible at the stairs. Some of their staffs are not polite and they are inpatient to answer your questions. What's even worse, before I moved out, I made sure to clean the room as best as I can and besides some stains left on the bath tub and some minor damages on the blinds caused by my cat, I can assure you that there is nothing in the room needs major repair and if there are, they are not caused by me because they were originally in bad shape already. I even have pictures in my cell to prove that. However, the ridge hired a debt collection company to chase me down and said that I owe them roughly $400 and this was the amount after the insurance has paid their portion according to the debt collection company. I was so shocked because nobody from their leasing office has ever tried to contact me about the details of the charges ever since I moved out. I left them my email and cell but nobody ever called or contacted. The debt collection company just sent me a mail says I owe them this amount of money WITHOUT a bill. I tried to contact the leasing office to talk about this but I can never get hold of the property manager. How could I know what I am charging for without a bill? I was so disappointed and I won't recommend this place to anyone in Austin ever again.

Its the worst place to live.
1) Extremely unprofessional and impolite managers in the leasing office.
2) There are maintenance guys who always drunk and very suspicious. (From Latino)
3) The Quality of apartment very bad, you can hear you neighbors easily. That annoyed me, honestly
4) Pool and Gym. OMG. So dirty almost every time.

Honestly, just avoid this place.

Ps. This just my honest feedback.

The staff is nice, the maintenance people are friendly and helpful. It’s a bit pricey as far as I’m concerned but overall a good place to live.

Out of over 30 places I've lived in my life, this is by far the worst-managed I've ever seen. If you have a problem, good luck getting resolution from management. And if you think their corporate office, "BH Management" is any better, wrong (they own 250+ complexes nationwide, so you are like a little insignificant number to them). I was over-charged $900 when I moved out and was harassed for over a year as I tried to dispute it, then was bullied into paying it with a hit on my credit right when I was trying to qualify to move my family to another place, VERY CROOKED. I would sue but it costs $300 just to file and I'm not rich. If you value your good name, peace of mind, and dignity, DO NOT LIVE HERE! I promise you will regret it. THIEVES!

We've lived here for three years and really like it. We're in an updated unit and it's pretty nice. The staff at the office is nice and the maintenance guys are pretty nice also and they respond quickly to problems. I mean, it's not perfect but no place is. ALSO, the best (IMHO) HEB in the city is right across the street from The Ridge.

I've lived at this complex since 2009. I highly recommend these apartments; they're great, renovated recently, the best staff of any apartment complex I've ever lived at (and very helpful and understanding of problems that may arise), and with excellent rates for the area! If I could, I'd keep an apartment at this complex regardless of where I move!
