The Sanger Dentist

I want to start by saying Dr. Liu and the office staff were very kind. This review is solely based on the dental work I received.
I had a cleaning, a couple cavities filled, and one crown placed.
My fillings kept chipping or coming out altogether. I had to drive back to the office multiple times to get them replaced. I drove back three or four times. On one occasion of getting my fillings fixed, another hygienest walked in and said, "Dr. Liu, I have another patient that said their filling fell out. " Dr. Liu said, "Okay, I'll fix it. " Then she turned to the hygienist that was also working on my filling and said, "I wonder if it's the new fillings we're using that's causing this problem. " Which let me know that this is possibly a frequent occurrence.
Thankfully, I wasn't charged extra, but it was extremely inconvenient to keep driving back and forth to correct fillings. I've never had this issue before.
The biggest complaint I have was the crown that Dr. Liu put in.
After she put in the crown, she had me grind my teeth to check my bite. I kept telling her that my bite didn't feel right. She tried adjusting it several times, and even shaved off part of the tooth above the crown so that the crown would fit correctly. She insisted that it was placed correctly and that it would just take time for the crown to feel right. Well, it was still bothering me after a couple of months. I couldn't even eat on the side where the crown was placed. So I drove an hour into Dallas to see my childhood dentist & get a second opinion on the work that was done. Immediately, before even taking the x-ray the hygient said, "That crown doesn't look right. "
They took an x-ray and confirmed the crown was not put in correctly. (See posted picture).
My dentist explained that the crown should be covering the entire tooth. He said, "Because the entire tooth is not covered and both sides are exposed that could lead to infection. " (Which could very well be the pain I'm experiencing now).
The main reason I went to Dr. Liu was the fact that she is five minutes away, and I wouldn't have to drive into Dallas.
Now that I've had to go to her office multiple times for fillings to be corrected and have spent hundreds of dollars, I realize that was a mistake.
And now I'm paying $950 out of pocket for my dentist to correct her mistake. And let's not forget the nearly $400 I paid her for the crown in the first place. Insurance won't cover the new crown since it was already worked on.
My dentist and insurance advised me to go back and have Dr. Liu correct her error, but I do not trust her to correct it after I intially told her that it doesn't feel right. My dentist had me take a photo and insisted I go back and have her fix it, but I DO NOT trust Dr. Liu's ability to work on my teeth. Very disappointed, and will be insisting on getting a refund so I can use that money to correct this poorly placed crown.
I should not have to tell a dentist how to do their job.
My husband & I work hard for our money and it's very frustrating when someone else's error costs us.
I hope she does the right thing and offers a refund.

Very friendly and gentle. Mindful too, the assistant covered the tools with a napkin so the little one wouldn't see them and get scared. (My little one is super observant)

I would definitely recommend this office to my family and friends! Not only are they kind and friendly but very informative and helpful. From the moment I walked into the office and was greeted by the front receptionist Angie, I was made to feel important and had all my insurance questions answered. Then the dental assistants were all just as sweet and welcoming to me. I had a great cleaning done and had my exam done by Dr Liu, who was so nice and answered all my questions about my dental health. I even signed up for Invisalign! I can’t wait to have the smile of my dreams! Thank you to The Sanger Dentist staff for making my dental visit such a pleasant experience!

I had an excellent experience with them, I have gone to several dental business before and never when back, do to the service and work done on my but i will be using Sanger dental for all my future needs. The staff and doctor were nice and attentive with me at all times

I visited the Sanger Dentist office w/ Dr. Kim for a broken tooth and infection. Even though it was late afternoon on a Friday, and I was a new patient, they were able to see me right away and get me taken care of. The professionalism and level of care from Dr. Kim and her staff was absolutely exceptional. I will continue to see this office in the future and would highly recommend them to anyone in search of a dental health care provider.

Very nice staff! Lovely doctor, tech/ dental assistant, and wonderful office manager & receptionist as well! Really went above & beyond to explain my insurance benefits even when I began to get frustrated & nervous:) and for some reason everyone that wore glasses, had super cute stylish ones lol! Really enjoyed chatting with them and everyone in the office was respectful and accommodating! I truly appreciate the nice assistant? (in black scrubs) putting up with me thanks to the entire staff! Super cool oh and it’s a CLEAN office with cute up to date furniture!

Great practice so far. Scheduling was easy, everyone was so kind and professional, and the dentist took the time to answer ALL my questions.
