Amid several life changes, a situation was brewing that I had no idea regarding my care of my aging mom (with early onset dementia). What a wonderful group of law experts! We were being investigated by Adult Protective Services for financial exploitation. Wow! And just wow! My husband and I decided to help an elderly lady she was incredibly in debt and she was months behind on mortgage and she said she just didn’t want a mortgage anymore. She was about to lose everything and still be in debt with no way out. So my husband and I sold our house in order to be able to help her. We absorbed her debt, she sold her house to us at a very cheap price since she was going to still live in the house still. But she developed dementia and she didn’t want to live with us within a few weeks of us becoming pregnant. She decided to go live in an assisted living facility. I was the victim of domestic violence while I was 23 weeks pregnant & filed for a protective order.
