The Southmore Apartments, Houston TX

We just moved to Houston from across the country and Ariel has helped make our experience arriving at The Southmore very easy and welcoming. The building is beautiful and surrounded by museums, restaurants, and very close to Herman Park. Highly recommend!

The Southmore Apartments is a great property with highly attractive rental options! I recently had a fantastic touring experience with Ariel from the leasing office. Ariel was not only warm and welcoming, but her in-depth knowledge about the property and neighborhood was very impressive. She addressed all our questions with professionalism and patience, and understood our specific needs.

Amazing residents and service. Love my time here! I came to the Southmore looking for a more low profile environment as a college student who is new to Houston. I was lucky to find a comfy and quiet space that I enjoy.

I’ve been living here since February and since then my experience has been amazing. The community is always well kept and the neighborhood is very walkable. Ariel at the front desk always greets everyone with a smile and is welcoming and personable. The downtown views from my apartment are 10/10! Love calling The Southmore home.

The ambience is good and they are quick to serve the food. We ordered the baos and they were amazing. Cauliflower okonomiyaki and K-fries weren’t that great. Among the mains, we tried the Dan Dan noodles and the eggplant Katsu. The noodles were OK but the Japanese curry in the Katsu was great. The lemon trifle for the dessert was pretty good too. The right level of lemon-y!

Update after 6 months of living here:
I've had an overall very positive experience living here. I love my apartment/the downtown views. The complex is kept very well maintained and clean - I often see the cleaning ladies in the morning. Management and concierge are super responsive/helpful. I see a lot of complaints about the water issues - we are always notified in advance and usually outtages last <12 hours. I have had no issues with noise from other apartments -probably because apartments are well built/concrete. Due to expense/our budget we considered moving out next year but have not found any place comparable. A lot of the surrounding apartments are just as expensive for way less quality/value.
