The Spot, Houston TX

Came here for a friend’s birthday and it’s an older generation atmosphere (like mid 40’ to mid 50’s type). The music was absolutely fun, the DJ plays music and displays the video of that song on a big projection screen as well. There’s pool tables next to other tables where people are standing and sitting so them playing can be in the way of those standing trying to enjoy their time can be irritating but other than that if you like pool, then they have that. They also have some slot machines and darts too. Did not try the food, if they have that.

I gave them a 1star only because of what happened the next day. We had a great Saturday evening enjoying friends, beer, drinks and great music. My friend opened a tab at the bar and they asked her to leave her credit card which is usually what happens at any bar. We stayed until 1: 30 am and when we arrived at home she realized she didn't close her tab or get her credit card back. She called and the person answering the phone acknowledged her card did indeed stay behind. She told them she would pass by on Sunday to pick it up. On Sunday morning she was alerted by her bank that someone had made a charge at HEB for over $200.00. When she called back to the bar asking about her card they told her the card was not there after they already acknowledged the night before it was. The owners need to make sure they know the kind of people they are hiring and letting run their establishment. It's sad that we will probably not go back after we had such a wonderful time and had been waiting for quite awhile to find another small bar to enjoy tejano music and an older more mature crowd.

Great place to unwind after a long week. The staff was amazing and friendly.love love the place and will be returning soon.

Fast and friendly service, big shout out to Betsy. Pretty darn good selection of beers. Yes, it's is the same Spot. New post Covid location. Same great vibe as I understand. The stage and audio look legit. The light rig looks like it gets the job done. The outside stage gets the whole yard to fill. Plenty of seating and dancing room.

1st time planning on being a regular.

I stop by for a few every now and then. They're always nice. It's a more mature crowd, and they have karaoke, bands, pool. Drinks are reasonable. Lot of couples go here but after 11 some singles pour in.

So, according to the very abrupt bartender Kerry, this bar and GRILL? Does not normally serve food, plus hung up on me while I was asking about steak night and trying to find out details for the karaoke show I was initially calling about.

Nice and big inside with big patio and "Open Mike on Sundays.
