The Spot Salon, Austin TX

I’ve been going to Shoni for over a decade and I don’t let anyone else come near me with scissors. She is really great at any type of cut and has kept up with my style changes. Plus she is just one of the warmest, welcoming, and coolest individuals. I definitely recommend her!

Shoni always does a great job at trimming my hair. Pricing is reasonable for the time and skill involved.

One of the three wurst haircuts I’ve ever had a 10 dollar barber could have cut my hair. I showed pictures of what I wanted. I explained it was for an interview. I HAD great hair. Now it will take at least three months to fix. When the stylist says well I thought it was a #4 guard this is her admitting she was wrong. I was offered nothing in regard to making the situation right. AND they aren’t even cheaper anymore than local competitors. I feel stupid in my choice I’ll have to have someone else fix it which there is hardly any hair left to fix. Complete nightmare. Plus I got water in my ear during my shampoo. Unacceptable and I recommend NOT going there. It says I can add photos and I’d love to but I’m to embarrassed by my haircut to do so.

Selena is amazing! My two teenage daughters got their hair cut and styled. They asked for a Wolf cut and Selena really showed her skills! They are so happy and want to go back for their next salon experience. Selena is a Rickstar stylist!

Update: Second time I went here the hairdresser that gave me my cut is now gone.my hair was butchered today. I wish I remembered the name of the hairdresser but my hair looks really stupid right now. I'm sure they aren't all bad but wow!

I love this salon - it has a cool laid back vibe with great music always playing. I've always felt uncomfortable in stuffy salons and this place is not like that, but you don't miss out in quality either!
My go-to is Alyssa, who I can tell really cares about the work she does. I have seen her three times now in my transition from dark auburn to sunny blonde. She has done a wonderful job! I love it, and get so many compliments when she does my hair.
I always feel like a new person when I leave there.:)

The person who cut my hair cut it too short and doesn't look like the picture I showed her at all, very unpleading and unfriendly service, on top of that it was way to expensive.

Decided to try The Spot Salon for the first time yesterday for a haircut.what a great "Spot". Got the best haircut I have had in years, and for a very fair price. Catie McAllister cut my hair, and I would recommend her and this "Spot" highly!

I had a great experience at the Spot Salon. The salon was clean and modern but not intimidating like some of the salons around Austin. My stylist was friendly and experienced. She listened to me when I explained what I wanted and executed both the color and cut beautifully and efficiently. She was a great conversationalist and the time flew by. I was able to get in the same day I called for an appointment which was really convenient and the prices were really affordable. I would recommend The Spot to anyone, male or female. They even do waxing! I am just bummed I didn't find this place 4 years ago when first I moved here.
