The-Tech Doctor, New Braunfels TX

I had an issue with my pc not displaying a picture on my monitor, even though it was fully booted up. I noticed that this business was near to me and the reviews were almost all good. I would like to add another good one.
The level of professionalism that I encountered was top notch. Both Josh and Patrick were knowledgeable and very friendly. They took my pc into the shop, and kept me informed of every step of the repair through text and email. They gave me a quote for the repair, and that was the price I paid when I picked it up. My pc now displays properly, and flawlessly. I even got an email from the owner a week after my ticket was closed, asking about their service. I don't think you can get much better than this company!

Very professional. Very prompt. Will use them again anytime I need a repair. They repaired a hinge on my laptop.

Terrible Experience. I brought my work computer in after a lighting storm. It wouldn't power own. They told me it would be a couple of days. A few days goes by and the part came in and "didnt work" so they ordered another one and told me it would be the following week before I could get my computer back. I told them this wouldnt work due to the fact that I run a business and had to run payroll and print checks and was told originally it would only be a couple of days. They said there was nothing that they could do and that I could go to the library if I needed to use a computer. (Yeah that comment pissed me off!) The desk girl then called me back to say that I could come into their office and use their computer. Again kind of a slap in the face when I run a company from this computer and need it all day, not just for a few moments. So I waited until the following week. Bought a cheap laptop in the meantime so I could pay my workers and get minimal work done until my computer was fixed. Today (its been in their shop for 14 days now) I get an email, not a call, that the power source was the wrong issue all together and that it was the motherboard and I would need to replace that. At this point I want nothing to do with this company and just need a solution so I plan to take my computer elsewhere. I called the front desk girl and she said that my computer had not been put back together and both of their techs where out of office and I could pick the computer up in the morning. I told her once again that this was unacceptable and that I needed my computer ASAP and she said that there was nothing they could do. I then told her I would be leaving a review of this issue and she said "you've gotta do what you gotta do ma'am". So here I am, putting a warning out there to others to be careful. This company may take your lifeline of a computer hostage and not care. If you don't want to be put into this ridiculous position, I would advise you find another store. They did end up getting a tech back to the store to put my computer back together. I picked it up yesterday afternoon, and thank goodness they didnt try to charge me. I will at least credit that to them. However now i am two weeks without a computer to run my business and Im back where I started with figuring out how to get my pc fixed.

Matt and his team at The Tech Doc really put my mind at ease. I appreciate how quickly they answered my call and scheduled an on-site meeting. I'm not a very technical person so I really appreciate how things were explained and that they got to work right away. I highly recommend Matt and his team!

They are trustworthy & are HIPPA Certified which is important to me since I’m a therapist & cannot leave my computer with just any computer repair company. I have used this company many times in the past for cell phone, tablet, and computer repair all with great results. Recently had Matt and company out to install security cameras, and these guys did not disappoint! High resolution cameras were installed, and those guys battled through extreme temperatures in the attic running data cables. Our Spectrum customer service opening up ports for remote use proved to be the most difficult portion of this job, and the guys did not let that keep them from making sure all facets of the job were complete. My family very much appreciates the time and effort from Matt and Lyle on this job, and we will continue to use The Tech Doctor!

We have been using the Tech Doctor for years. Patrick and the rest of the staff have always been able to take care of our computer needs quickly and at a fair price. They are very pleasant to work with.

I’ve been 3 times out of desperation and every time I leave $100 lighter and NOTHING DONE - nothing. And they don’t even give a list of whatever they tried to do, just “Sorry, we couldn’t help” or whatever excuse…. They didn’t even put my hard drive back together this last time, just handed it to us in a bag with a bunch of loose screws…. Save your money and find a tech repair specific to your needs, not these guys

Very happy with the service, price and product. On time replacement of my laptop's hard drive with a new SSD. They manage my company's IT, as well. Zero complaints!
