The Village at West University, Houston TX

This is my review just from looking online! Y’all must be out of y’all mind. This apartments look like everything from 1990… with absolutely no upgrades. Just another apartment taking advantage of inflation to charge ridiculous rent rates.

Current management is a joke. Completely incompetent. A kindergarten class could do better. These apartments are going straight to hell in a hand basket. While you pay for amenities, you get to enjoy none of them the pool & gym are still outdated & forget using the computers printers if / when you need them. They’re always down for servicing & printers have no ink. They lie to your face & tell you they will return phone calls & never do. NO MAINTENANCE get done even with work orders, YET they’re have cheap, new roofs being installed that will increase our electricity bills The prop manager acts as if residents are going to bite her by avoiding our needs & has her minion minded staff members do her dirty work which is cover & tell the same lie she’s going to tell you. This was a pleasant property & the staff was great. Now, we have to endure being treated like the scum on their feet. Please do not move here unless you enjoy being humiliated, lied to, disrespected & ultimately left to lick your own wounds.

PS - DO NOT SEND ME A DEAR RESIDENT LIE IN RESPONSE! YOU’RE NOT SORRY ABOUT A THING! THE ONLY THING SORRY AROUND HERE IS YOUR PRESENCE! PLEASE GO AWAY & FIND ANOTHER COMMUNITY TO TERRORIZE!

RUN FROM THIS PROPERTY AND ANY GREYSTAR MANAGED PROPERTY. TOUR THIS PROPERTY AND SEE THERE ARE GAPPING HOLES IN EVERY BUILDING COVERED WITH BLACK PLASTIC AND ONE BUILDING IS EVEN BEING SECURED BY JACKS. THERE HAS BEEN MENTION AND PICTURES BY OTHER REVIEWS IN REGARDS TO MOLD UNK IF STRUCTURE OR WHAT BUT THESE HOLES IN THE BUILDING HAVE BEEN THERE FOR ALMOST 2 YEARS THAT I KNOW OF. AS WELL AS THE BUILDING SUPPORT JACKS. THERE HAS BEEN CONSTRUCTION ON SITE FOR SEVERAL MONTHS AND THEY WORK UNTIL PAST 930 PM. AND STORE BUILDIN MATERIALS IN RESERVED SPOTS FOR TENANTS THE SECURITY CONCERNS OF MANAGEMENT DOES NOT EVEN EXIST THERE HAS BEEN OVER 15 BREAK BURGLARY THAT I KNOW OF AND THERE ARE NOT EVEN WORKING SECURITY CAMERAS AND IN THESE DAYS OF ESCALATING CRIME THATS NOT EXCEPTABEL. SEVERAL CARS STOLEN IN A SHORT PERIOD OF TIME. THERE ARE NO CAMERAS IN THE PARKING GARAGE OR HALLWAYS RUN RUN RUN. THE HOLES IN THE BUILDINGS AND BUILDING SUPPORT HAS BEEN LIKE THIS FOR ALMOST 2 YEARS THAT I KNOW OF MAYBE LONGER. IF YOU WANT TO FEEL LIKE YOU ARE LIVING AT A TRUCK STOP OR LIKE LOOKING AT PORTAPOTTIES AS YOU ARRIVE HOME THIS IS THE PLACE FOR YOU. MANAGEMENT ALLOWS COMMERCIAL TRUCKS TO PARK ILLEGALLY AND IN THE FIRE LANES

Nice stay at this amazing apartments complex, a lot of advantages auch as location, atmosphere, all shopping center around (Kroger, Walmart, Hep, Galleria.etc) and the most important is the satff at the leasing office, Ivette is the big star in this team. She is Amazing, great and helpful. Thanks y'all.

Excellent attention from Ivet Solís, she is very kind, attentive and does her job very well! They should have more workers like her!

IF YOU WANT SECTION 8 HOUSING, THIS IS THE PLACE FOR YOU! PORTAPOTTIES ALL OVER THE PARKING LOT! RUN FROM THIS PLACE YOU CAN'T EVEN PARK AT YOUR BUILDING. ONGOING CONSTRUCTION SINCE MAY 30TH. ELEVATOR DOES NOT WORK FROM GROUND LEVEL. PEOPLE SPEED IN THE GARAGE. RESIDENTS LEAVE KROGER CARTS ALL OVER THE GARAGE. MANAGEMENT DOES NOT CARE ABOUT THE RESIDENTS. TAKES HER 2 MONTHS TO RESPOND TO AN EMAIL OR PHONE CALL.

HALF THE BUILDINGS HALF NEW ROOFS THE OTHER HALF DOESN'T. YET ALL THIS, THEY STill HAPPILY TAKE MY OVER $1600.00 RENT.

GREYSTAR RUINED THIS PROJECT.

North Garage Parking (Buildings: 3-10)

Assigned parking in the North garage is lifted until garage improvements are completed. Parking will be on a first come, first served basis.

All vehicles on the top floor/ 4th level of the North Garage will need to be moved by Monday 7am.
Please stay out and away from all work areas.
Do not talk to the contractors. If you have a question or notice an issue, please contact our office.
Be diligent in keeping children from playing in and around the garage area or walking through the garage alone.
Please drive slowly through the garage and pay attention to your surroundings.
Be courteous to other residents whether on foot or driving.
Please do not enter the community through the Exit Gate.

South Garage (Buildings: 2,11-14)

While parking is open on the North garage, for additional parking spaces, we do have available parking spots throughout the South garage marked as "GUEST" to which you are also permitted to park. Please be advised, the additional spots must be marked as "GUEST" only.

Do yourself a Favor, Do Not Rent here. Since Greystar has taken over, this place has been a nightmare. Constant construction going on at the property from 7 am - 6 pm. There has been a shortage of maintenance. It will take 3 weeks for a work order to happen. The Kroger gate was broken for three months. The resident events take place during the work day from 2-4 pm. The office will tell you they don't want to stay late. Ridiculous. There are much nicer places in the area. They ate also making you now get a new service called Fetch for your packages. Forget about Amazon prime. And you pay $25 each month for a trash can to be outside your door even if you don't use the valet trash service. Oy!

Horrible management. Greystar is a joke and the property personnel do not care at all. I have multiple work orders that have not even been fixed. I put in a work order for my Air Conditioner, no one was able to fix it. I have children and being in an apartment that is 80 degrees at night is awful. Don’t rent here, they charge you $150 amenity fee for no actual amenities. The gym facility is old and outdated. You are better off renting a different property in the area.

Lots of security issues now. I don’t see anything being done to change this. When you leave a message to have the manager return your call, don’t expect to get it. Just frustrations residents say happen here a lot. I hope the new manager can fix them. She seems very nice

Love Postinos! Me and hubby go to PostOak a ton but this one was great too! They’re building one near our home in SA too! Can’t wait to take my gfs!

I have been living here over a year now and I LOVE my apartment. The staff is great and maintenance has done an amazing job keeping the property super clean. Thank you staff!

My experience with Robin Driscoll was terrific. Robin was very knowledgeable and really listened to my requests and what is important to me in a new home. I highly recommend asking for Robin when you visit and are looking for your new home.

I look forward to moving in my new apartment in June I absolutely love the beautiful community and how nice, helpful and accommodating Robin Driscoll was to me️

This is a good place to live but management made it really really tough when I didn't extend my lease. They made sure I didn't get my deposit back by adding lot of additional charges so that don't have to pay my deposit back.
I referred one of my friends to stay here when I was living and the referral fee they promised was not given in full. Upon several calls and emails, after 3-4 months they gave a partial amount.
My advice would be to be careful with security deposits. Also, be extra careful when you leave this place. Its almost certain that you wont get back a penny of your security deposit.

I absolutely love these apartments they’re in a great location right beside everything and it’s a great place to raise a family. Highly recommend these apartments the staff and residents are very friendly.

Toured recently and got to say I really enjoyed the service. I toured with Matthew, he is very knowledgeable about the property and local area. Which helps a lot when looking for a new place, and your not familiar with the area!

A very comfy place and very well connected from everywhere too
The HEB and Kroger next to it makes it even more lucrative.
Never had any issues with the Maintenance and the staff was always there for any help required.
