The Westin Houston Downtown

Stopped by for drinks and a snack before a concert at Minute Maid Park. The bar staff were hustling to provided great service. The drinks were good and reasonably priced and the food was great. Luis, our server, was excellent. Great place to pre and post game after an event. Bonus points - bathrooms were spotless and well appointed.

We spent the weekend in Houston for an Astros game. This was not our first time staying at this Westin. It has always been a great experience. Their service exceeds expectations!
We were checked in by Santi. We were just a little early but she accommodated us so we could make it to the game. She was friendly, sweet and helpful. She was very pleasant to deal with.
This location is literally feet from Minute Maid Park. Valet was great, quick and efficient. We didn't have to move the truck all weekend. We just walked across the street to the stadium.
Our room was clean, cold and smelled fresh. The view was OUTSTANDING as we had full view of the stadium. It was a really experience to see Minute Maid Park after dark from the eighth floor.
As we were checking out, we stopped downstairs to see if they had breakfast. The restaurant was not serving anymore but the gentleman told us to wait and he would see if they could still cook something for us. THEY DID! WOW! They literally cooked a fresh egg/bacon/potato/toast breakfast just for us! It was delicious and Filimon G.was outstanding. I can't thank him enough for going above and beyond so that I could have coffee! HAHA.
I don't think that I've ever had better service anywhere ever. This will definitely be our go to hotel when we are in Houston - which is often during baseball season! Go Astros!

If going to sleep before 12: 30am is important for you, avoid this hotel. There is a live bad playing in the bar area and the music reverberates through the entire hotel. Tried to change rooms, but Esmeralda at the front desk was unwilling to help. Extremely poor service at the hotel.

This was a very poor stay.
I chose this hotel because I wanted to get a break and I was very upset with the cleaness of the room. The room was very nasty hair in bed and nightstand.
We went to another room the next day because they didn't move us the prior night so the next day at 2 we was moved and that room had urine in toilet, heater didn't work and television didn't work.

We stayed at the Westin for our work summit and the staff was absolutely incredible and so accommodating. We can’t thank you all enough! We will absolutely be back!

From the front desk to vallet, to the room everything was top notch. Everyone that worked there was extremely helpful and courteous. We'll definitely stay and recommend again.

The staff was amazing and very helpful. They made you me feel very special and welcomed. I truly enjoyed my state worth every penny.

5 star service, catty corner from Minute Maid stadium, luxurious suite. FYI, valet parking only and no room service after 10pm weeknights.

Definitely a great location, beautiful hotel and great service but do know that staying here on a weekend game night is like staying at a frat house. Really didn’t expect to pay $350 for a night and have people yelling at the hotel lobby bar until 1: 15 in the morning (the hotel design is unfortunate in that many rooms are internal and overlook the lobby where the bar is).

I do understand that the pandemic restrictions are loosening and the hotel is running a business but it’s still a bit surprising on behalf of management to allow what seems like 50 rooms facing the lobby to be disturbed that late with Astros fans at the bar.

If you decide to stay here on the weekend when there’s a game, I’d recommend you ask for a room that doesn’t face the lobby so you can get decent sleep.

I am a local and every time I visit this hotel, it is a great experience. The staff is professional and friendly. The valet Rafael was helpful and pleasant! See you fir the next Astros game! Go Stros!

The lady at the front desk was super nice and the bedroom smells clean, looks clean and is clean and they have Starbucks coffee and a good amount of space also they have a desk wear I can put my computer they even put everything in the closet that I need this hotel is the best hotel ever.

When I arrived the doormen were immediately helpful took my car and showed me in to Hotel! When I went to the bar! The Bartender Chrissy was very helpful! I asked if they had my favorite beer! Ziegenbock. You can only get it in Texas, Oklahoma! She new the beer checked to see but did not have any! Later when I saw her she had gone out of her way and found some which made my stay sensational!

The room was great, location was perfect as I had a business dinner and walked right out the door into Vic and Anthony’s amazing Restaurant!

This hotel was a joy! We are looking forward to being back in Houston next month and staying there again. The staff was very friendly and helpful! The valet had our vehicle out in a very timely manner! It was very easy to get to all of our destinations! We didn't have a microwave in our room, but because everything else was so top notch, it didn't matter! If you're looking for a great place to stay when you're in Houston, this hotel is the place to stay!

Pretty nice- gym leaves a little to be desired but a pretty small complaints in view of what they do right. Very clean and the restaurant is good for a quick bite when you’re working

The staff was so accommodating and friendly. Rafael and Caleb went above and beyond! Big thanks to those gentlemen! Great location and very clean as well!

Not only was our stay great, the service was phenomenal. I genuinely appreciated them working with us around our volleyball tournament schedule, and working with us Sunday evening to get our girls a bite to eat when it was late. I even got to sneak down and get a workout in their incredibly clean and updated gym. Thank you so much!

My bed is as hard as a rock and the fan sounds like it’s fixing to fall from the ceiling and the pillows are flat. The hotel stay is nice and friendly. The noise and traffic level is loud. The ax works great and room is clean. I won’t come back. This was trying it after a second time.
