The Worthington Renaissance Fort Worth Hotel reviews
16 The location is about the only thing going for it in my opinion. It’s just not worth the money though, whether it’s vomit in the hallway, limited to no food service, limited employees, air conditioner problems, so-so gym, etc.
On top of a so-so hotel is the 3 day cancellation policy, something akin to a policy at posh destination resorts. This of course is not one of those. Then, when you need customer support, you end up with an overseas call center whose emails to you take 3 hours.
So, as much as I want to like it given it’s location, I’ll definitely be avoiding in the future.
Very clean and neat. The lobby was large and very fancy. Food isn't way too overpriced either. They also give you new towels everyday and even toothpaste!
The hotel is very well appointed, clean, and has friendly staff. I am only docking one star due to subpar room lighting, off brand televisions, and no internet in rooms. Yes, you can pay an extra $15 a day for internet, which is unable to load even basic websites (forget about streaming). I did not try the $17 a day package (the cheaper package is free to Marriot Bonvoy members). Overall, I wouldn’t stay here again as the ability to telework is to important.
I always stay here when in town. They do need to rearrange their sink accessories. Kleenex is always wet and stinky. Soap never stays contained. Room service food is terrible. Threw my food out and my co-worker got sick. Toro Toro is excellent. Valet is the best in town.
The family had a getaway in Fort Worth and spent one night at Worthington.
Pros: (1) Great location. Literally 2 minutes walk to Sundance Square. Lots of restaurants, shops and a rooftop cinema nearby. (2) Room is large.
Cons: (1) Room needs more seating. In my room with two queen size beds, we only had one desk chair and one single sofa chair. (2) Room is clean but needs renovation. The bathroom shower/tub needs a facelift. (3) For a 4-star hotel, I expected more, such as a luggage rack, facial soap, makeup mirror, etc, and more smiles from front desk and breakfast restaurant staff.
It had many years since we stayed here. Our stay reminded us that is one of the best hotels in downtown fort Worth. The location is ideal, the rooms are nice, bed is comfortable. Valet was quick. Only complaint was the music in the lobby was so loud we could barely hear the receptionist because they were having some type of brunch event. When we left the next day the lobby music still seemed loud. Wished they had an outdoor pool.
Such a great hotel in Fort Worth. All the staff are so friendly and the decor was amazing. Even better was the fact that the bar and restaurant in the hotel (Toro Toro) was equally as amazing. Highly recommend staying here.
Overall our stay was very nice, with just a couple exceptions: 1) The hot tub was under construction: (but I know there's not much they can do about that. 2) More significantly, the waitstaff at the Hacienda breakfast place were quite rude and short with us. It kind of felt like we weren't supposed to be in there, but they didn't want to turn us away so they just tolerated us. Other then those things, the hotel was wonderful.
We just had a wedding here and wow. The Worthington was so amazing to work with. Great communication, organization, ambiance, and delicious foods and drinks. David was our sales guy, and Antonela was our event coordinator. Both were absolutely amazing to work with. Antonela met all of our requests, and we had a ton of different requests throughout. We had a huge multicultural wedding, and everything turned out perfect. The terrace where we had our ceremony was so beautiful. All of our guests complimented the service, the tasty food, and the delicious drinks. The foyer, where cocktail hour was to the grand ballroom, where our reception was, flowed so well. Truly an amazing night. Have a wedding here and work with Antonela.you will not regret it!
One of the best hotels in downtown Fort Worth!
- Location is great and is next to several upscale restaurants, bars and local attractions
- Rooms are classy and well maintained
- Gym is one of the best hotel gyms I've used
- Lounge downstairs has a great atmosphere and service
This is my go to hotel in Fort Worth!
This review could have gone either way - upon check-in there was a miscommunication regarding early departure policy and timeline. I heard the conversation one way, and the manager heard it another. To my own discredit, I did not follow-through except via messages with the front desk when departing a day earlier than my reservation ended
Anyway, I was initially charged for an extra night + self parking. But the manager who checked me in, Dilshan, followed-through to ensure that, despite the miscommunication, I was refunded the early departure fee and parking.
Organizations rise or fall during conflicts, and Dilshan represented The Worthington well, making me want to come back again.
I had an incredible stay at The Worthington Renaissance this weekend! I met Chat from valet and his friendly and welcoming personality created a warm atmosphere, and his knowledge of the local area made it an unforgettable visit. He gave us amazing food/drink recommendations too - the Toro Toro Pan-Latin Steakhouse was a highlight. I would like to express my gratitude to Chat for providing outstanding service!
I reserved a room for my daughter and son-in-law. It was supposed to have a bottle of sparkling wine and chocolates “upon arrival”. It was not there when they arrived. My daughter made three phone calls with no results. They wanted to drink the champagne before they left for dinner at 6: 30 but it never arrived. When they returned at 11: 00, it was there. They weren’t able to enjoy it at the hotel. They had to take it home. I expect more from a high end hotel. Very disappointed in the service…
The staff at this hotel was amazing, super nice and very considerate. But that’s my only compliment I have. The rooms were serviceable. The chairs were uncomfortable and the footstool was too. The small gym was nice though it’s AC only worked on one side. The layout is extremely confusing and the elevators were always packed. The distance from the convention center is fine. But rather inconvenient compared to other options. The place has a style and a theme but it yields uncomfortable results.
I wouldn’t go here given the better alternatives in the area. But at least the area between the hotel and the convention is packed with restaurants and nice places to be. But the other downtown hotels are plenty close enough to these places.
This was an amazing weekend that I shared with my wife thanks to JACEE at The Worthington Renaissance Fort Worth Hotel.
I reached out to Jacee as asked her if she could possibly upgrade me as was doing a fun get away weekend with my wife. Jacee was so nice and accommodating, it was amazing!
The experience at the Worthington was very memorable. The food, bar and rooms were top notch. If you are looking for a FIVE STAR HOTEL - look no further, this one has a great location and you can walk to any and everything your heart desires!
This would not have been possible without Jacee caring as much as she did! She single handily made the difference!
THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THE TIME AND GREAT MEMORIES!
