Thousand Trails Medina Lake RV Resort reviews
18I would like to say that Mr. Bill is the nicest ranger at the park. He always takes the time to make sure you are taken care and makes you feel welcomed. And it’s always nice to start off your stay with a welcoming smile. Thank you Mr. Bill for being you
Mr. Bill is so pleasant to talk to and willing to help with anything ANYBODY needs. He always has a smile on his face and a twinkle in his eye! Vote for Mr. Bill!
I’ve been a member of Thousand Trails for 35 years. I’ve been to 80% of the parks including the park in Canada Medina Lake is my favorite park The employees are always friendly and helpful The new Activity Director Dana has brought a breath of fresh air to Medina Lake Thousand Trails
I want to commend Mr Bill Rupp on the way he supports the campers visiting TT Medina Lake. He is alway courteous with everyone no matter how many people are waiting for service. He is a true Thousand Trails asset.
Love this park. Reminds me of stays I have had at state parks. Sites are private and you don’t feel like you are too close to the neighbors. The cabins are super cute and there is wildlife everywhere! And the pool os GIGANTIC! Such a great getaway. A must visit.
What a beautiful park! This park is about 30 minutes from San Antonio and is a very peaceful place. There are deer, turkeys, and many other animals. The park has a new manager, Sarah, who is doing a great job and the park is seeing many positive changes.
The wildlife of amazing, getting to see some nice bucks up close. Lots of trees. Ready for the lake to come back
If you like to see Deer, turkeys, lizards and numerous other critters, TT Medina Lake is a great place to visit.
The staff is friendly and willing to help when it’s possible. The new Manager, Sarah, is really making some great strides in sprucing up the property! Shannon was the best Ranger we’ve ever had check us in! Bill has the best stories about cow fish, since the lake is down. Steve from maintenance stopped by and talked for a minute during his busy day!
We love this property!
This park has definitely seen improvements within the past year! I spoke with Tyler at one point. She was super sweet. She gave me directions down to the Activity Center and informed me about the things they offer there.overall, my stay was great.amazing and kind staff.
Love the atmosphere and everything the park has to offer. Texas Hill Country is unbeatable for diverse wildlife spectacular views and so much more! Not to mention the great team we have here at TT Medina
Shannon Reynolds is a great ranger she takes care of everyone’s needs and goes above and beyond! The park is very nice and well maintained
We got reservations here because we love San Antonio. Unfortunately, the park is quite a drive to town; it is a great place if you want to get away from it all.
The sites were clean and level, with lots of space to get in and out. The park is lovely with lots of trees, wildlife and a lake. Great for riding bikes. The bathrooms need some clean-up and updating, but everything worked OK.
Getting to the park with a GPS put us on a dangerous, windy road, barely wide enough for one vehicle. If Thousand Trails offered specific directions into the park in our reservations, we missed them. We would not go back again.
I love this park! All the staff is very friendly.and since the new manger sarah has been here the park has definitely gotten better and has seen improvements.i spoke with shannon and tyler and they are an awesome team.keep up the good work!
Arrived on father’s day to the most disgusting bathrooms I have ever seen. There isn’t even A/C in them and it was easily 120 degrees in there. Even after they were cleaned only because corporate came, they were still disgusting. I wouldn’t recommend this park to my worst enemy. Druggies drinking loudly blasting rap music at the pool. $60 a night for this ghetto experience was crazy. Very clear they’re underpaid as rangers also. Lily the ranger was nice. We will NEVER return to a Thousand Trails again which is a shame because we were considering becoming members. Medina Lake is completely dry by the way. Hot as heck and bugs everywhere. The deer were adorable and everywhere.
Absolutely love this place. The area is very beautiful regardless of lake levels, the valley and sunsets are stunning. The staff are always a delight and I certainly sympathize with the struggles of maintaining such a huge park with a limited budget. Truthfully there's only so much that can be done when employees are paid less then a Prepupicent teen at McDonald's. Not many are lining up for the pay grade. Non the less the campground is exactly what I expected to be, after all, it was never intended to be a luxury hotel ;)
Beautiful place, it has a lot of space and apart from that the sunsets are beautiful. My cat really enjoyed it. You see deer everywhere playing, I loved it.
We stayed in the park in our motor home in a fairly level 30 amp full hook up site in section A. This is a nice huge park with friendly staff and many amenities, a large pool, a laundry room and clean bathrooms. This rustic park is an older park with mature trees to shade most all of the RV sites, plenty of sites, back-ins to pull through, partial hook-ups and full hook-ups. There is a dump station too. Deer are always present and lots of wild life, the lake has no water unfortunately but the area is beautiful. We enjoyed ourselves and will return when we're in the area.
Lake is no longer a Lake so don’t expect one. This place needs some TLC improvements. Nice quiet wooded area. A bit of a tight drive getting to and into it. Probably stay again as it is a TT location but I am not making plans to go back just for the property itself. Good place to stay for being close to San Antonio to visit attractions.
