THRIVE in Lubbock

The management does not care about the welfare of tenants and will not give supervisor information. My girlfriends truck was stolen from the parking lot, as well as mine and numerous other cars tires were slashed repeatedly. They refuse to close the gates in a gated community and this is why there is so much crime. I wouldn’t recommend living here to my worst enemy, if you are looking for a cheap place to live, DO NOT live here!

Honestly I think I made the worst mistake of living here. I am a current resident of Thrive and I must say that this place is in fact a nightmare. I am constantly getting the runaround when it comes to important documents coming in the mail, my kitchen light has yet to be fixed, and the customer service is mediocre. I am thinking about leaving after my year long lease is over.

From day 1 of moving onto the property my house was a mess. There was paint on the floors, countertops and cabinets. The carpet and couch was covered in dog hair and my windows would not open. It took maintenance over 3 months to fix my windows. I was lied to about my ability to extend my lease in front of other tenants and on camera to save face. Once the contract was put in front of me I was told that the deal agreed on in public was not the real deal. There have been multiple gun shots and robberies in the apartment complex.

My car windows were smashed in and my car was keyed during one night and the complex has done nothing to protect residents. They say the have gates but they are never closed. They say they have police patrolling but I have not seen them patrol even once.

The property manager John is condescending and will not give you a straight answer on anything. There are plenty of other apartment complexes in Lubbock that are the same price or cheaper that are far better.

HORRIBLE place to live they wont come fix any problems with the apt after multiple requests window are horrible wont keep the dirt out and cant keep management!

Thrive is such a great place to live if your starting college. Very affordable rent and comfortable living! Management is very understand and kind!

THRIVE is such a nice place to live. My favorite part about THRIVE is their clubhouse & pool area. THRIVE apartments are pet friendly, they have new amenities, and their staff are very helpful. I recommend this place a 10/10.

Awesome staff, awesome price, not to far from the school and not too close either. Best of both worlds! Love the gym as well!

My daughter had some initial issues at move in with waiting on move in day. I recently was in the office to check on some issues with my daughters dryer. They had maintenance at her apartment before I even got back from the office repairing the issue. The service we have received since move in has definitely been worth the slight inconvenience of move in day. We will definitely be renewing here.

Worst internet in the world, is never up to the speed promised and never will be. Is usually down or lagging 90% of the time. If you are a college student and expect to get projects done, better go to Tech library or somewhere else. Especially when everyone else is on, you'll never get anything done. Dial up is faster then the internet provided here.

Moved my daughter in last year, and honestly if she wouldn’t have lost her spot we wouldn’t have renewed. We ended up renewing last minute because she had a spot at the republic, but when she called they told her they didn’t have a lease for her. With the new owners this year things have really changed so much and we will probably be renewing again for next year within a couple of months.

In September the whole Management team was gutted and if you want to understand the difference these new guys have made simply look at the reviews of this place from the last 3 months to the time before. Eric the new manager is always handy and willing to speak to you about issues. They do lots of random fun things for the residents (the last one I went to was some grocery bingo thing). I’ve been in there multiple times picking up packages and seen first hand some of the stuff residents say to the staff and honestly kuddos to them for keeping their cool lol. Utilities can get annoying sometimes, however it’s run through the Lubbock power company and as far as I know they’re known pretty widely for screwing people over and pretty much have a monopoly here in Lubbock on utilities. Overall have loved this place for the price I pay.

Love living here! The staff is extremely helpful and friendly, the rent is affordable and the amenities are great! If you’re looking for a great place, stop by!

My roommate and I are so excited to move in! Thrive has a beautiful modern aesthetic and comes with so many facilities, especially for students! The staging of the rooms sold us! Emyi was so awesome and answered all our questions!

If I could give 0 stars I would. Management is terrible. My apartment was broken into and everything. Around $6000 dollars worth of stuff was stolen. The apartment won’t come fix stuff that’s messed up and I’ve been here about 8 months. My truck was hit by a maintenance worker and I witnessed. They have yet to fix it. Just the worst place especially for students. Gates are never closed and just a very unsafe place. If your looking at this as a college apartment then don’t. Look at a much nicer taken care place.

New management has made me want to live here. I can say nothing but positive things about Thrive. I will be glad to call this place my home in August. Some of the wonderful things that thrive has to offer is the positive vibes that they give to their residents, the spaciousness of the dog park, and the fact that thrive is on the bus route to Texas tech. I can confidently give this apartment complex a 5/5 rating because they have shown me nothing but interest in my needs.

This is a decent apartment for the price you pay. The new management has come in and remodeled all the apartments and it’s been a better experience. Maintenance goes back and forth with responding, but they are so willing to help. Overall good deal for the price you pay. Very good student living

So far it’s been a blast living here, they continue to renovate things around the neighborhood bringing in all sorts of new amenities. The workers up front have always been able to help me with any problems or questions. Many of the poor reviews on here are from previous ownership and management so it can be deceiving. The new management will take care of you however they can. For the price it’s definitely the best place you can find. Pool parties, ping pong competitions, and a whole bunch of other things they like to do to get the neighborhood together.

I have never lived somewhere so awful before in my life. The management team is probably the worst group of people I’ve ever came across. Super incompetent and super disrespectful. Don’t believe the fake 5 star reviews as they bribed people with chick fil a and Starbucks gift card to leave good reviews. They lie about everything and then try and backtrack to save face. The apartments are horrible themselves and is not worth the “cheap” rent. Save yourself the stress and live somewhere else.

Obviously any student living apartments are gonna have minor issues but for the most part thrive is great. Cheap prices, the new management is great, and it’s a safe place to be. Overall I’ve been pleased with thrive
