I'm glad I read these reviews. Based on all the bad reviews they are all the same. One quote turns into a higher bill. Seeing this I will not use this shop. Thanks to everyone that has posted the good and bad. And no thanks I'll go a different route.

Quoted a rate, in writing, for a new transmission. When the work was done and with no warning or approval, they charged us $1200 more! They did not care about the original quote. The work that was done appears to be quality and it was done quickly but that kind of price increase is not acceptable. We will not do business with them again and will spread the word of their business practices.

We had the worst experience with this place! We had originally had the motor in my truck replaced all was fine then and just a few months go by and my truck started giving us trouble, come to find out they did not replace the distributor, the more disappointing thing is they charge me for it too! We had to get our truck towed multiple times to this place (WHICH WAS NOT CHEAP!) so they could figure out what else was still wrong and every time WE would fix what they told us was wrong something else would "need to be fixed or replaced". Another thing they would never call me to update me on the status of my vehicle days would go by and they would give me excuses to why my vehicle hasn't even been worked on. We had originally chose to come to this place because if its length of time it has been open but that was a mistake. I DO NOT RECOMMEND BRINGING YOUR VEHICLE HERE! My truck is still not running. This place is VERY disappointing.

Dude told my buddy that he disassembled his own axle and tired to blame the shop oh and he supposedly drove 30miles with a rear axle that was taken apart.

After about 6 weeks of no work done to my truck, they "don't want to work on it" wife and I paid 1k to get a simple new engine and have it running right nothing more. My wife goes in to get the truck out while I'm at work and they give her a $850 dollar check.wheres our 1k for no work done to it. On top of that, they had my wife sent to jail for being too irate about the whole situation. Never again, F#@$ them. You really are playing the cards with this place. Writing this as I sit and wait for my wife at the jail. Crooks.

If You want no problems with a rebuild engine this is the right place.

It’s a ripoff I only write this to keep others from wasting money here. It’s a set up they give you a price and after your engine is taken apart they up the price 3 times. Please be careful with this place.

Thunderbolt was the worst decision i ever made. Took one and a half months to get back. Took car back four times, because of white smoke coming out of tail pipe. First time they said it was condensation, then they said somthing to do with upper manifold, then they said wrong oil, wal-mart people couldnt do that right. Then weep holes in muffler were stopped up. Then mechanic said heald bolt was loose. Worked for a while, then with 6000 miles it started smoking bad. They wanted me tow it down there. Tired of taking down too them, because everytime me and my daughter had to take off work to take it down to them and they couldnt fix it. Took to another shop. Heads have been shaved down too much, had to get new heads. Bolts were not tight, cost me another 2000$. Car now runs great. Everytime i try to talk to management, i would end up talking to a mechanic or salesmen and no help.

If you want to pay for someone to steal your vehicle, then by all means use these crooks.its the old bait and switch scam.they will try and do a hard sell on parts that leagally come with a rebuild.you get quoted a price but then comes the switch. 1800 becomes 5000.and then your vehicle is stolen for repairs done but not authorized.and beware using credit card.used to be a reputable business years ago.now its conmen and thieves. BEWARE DO NOT USE THIS PLACE.

A bunch of lying con artist. I would never recommend them to anyone. Quoted me $4200. No saying it's going to be $8900.

They may not be the fastest but they get it done right. If people dont want to pay 8 grand for a motor dont buy a foreign car. My brother had his truck rebuilt by them as well as my uncle. They are currently working on my truck I'm completely happy with price and wait to get it done by them. We also drive a hour and half to them which kind of speaks for my stance and this business.

I wish I could give less than one star. I had my truck sent to this place to get my engine rebuilt. They quoted me $3500 and said it could be a little extra with other parts that may be needed to replaced. They told me they needed a deposit of $800 so I paid them. After they took two weeks looking at my truck, they told me they would need me to pay over $8000. When I told them that was too much they wouldn't give me my deposit back. They gave me my truck back all in pieces. They put the engine in the back of my truck. They wouldn't do anything to help me out after that and were rude the entire time. I would not recommend this place to my worst enemy. They are bad people, just working people out of money. Do not give them the time of day.

They have had my car since 10/25 and every time I call for status i'm told the same thing, "the car is in the mechanics bay and I'll get a call later in the day". (nothing)

They have unbelievable service where they're able to fix my badly damaged car. There are honest, hardworking, and offered very fair and reasonable pricing! There are very clear and have effective communication!

Not a bad service. Was expecting to be rip off but they actually gave the right price for my new engine (My friend told me the correct price beforehand). It also actually works.

Referred my sister to them last summer because they are a sponsor on the Michael Berry Show and He speaks highly of them and Skip the owner. What a HUGE mistake that turned out to be. Not only did they try to charge her thousands of dollars over what she was initially quoted it took nearly 2 months to complete the work the first time. One of the items they tried charging her for was $1200 for an oil pump that should have been included in the long block price. Had I not intervened she would have been charged $1200 for an oil pump that her engine does not even have. Per her contract, the long block assembly includes the “oil pump” unless it is a front cover bolt on type. On her particular engine, the “oil pump” Is part of th balance shaft assembly. There was approximately another $1000 worth of additional items that were questionable including $50 for the rear main seal. What kind of rebuild doesn’t include the rear main seal. I was also told that it was $50 because it was a dealer item only. Not true. Available for $5 retail at any autos parts store. When she received her car back the first time, it was returned to her with a check engine light. She was told that it should reset itself but if it didn’t than she would need a new “O2” sensor. Now needing it to be resolved so she could get an inspection her husband went and bought one only to discover when he went to install it that the reason for the check engine light was they never reconnected it after they disconnected it. Sloppy work? Or were they trying to scam her out of more money. 2 weeks later her “rebuilt” engine was dead. Now, a little over a year later it is dead again for the 4th time. These guys SUCK and are CROOKS! They are NOT cheaper, faster and better than the Dealership as they claim. By the time they tried to tack on all the “extras” that were “not included” they were as much of not more than what Kia wanted. However, at that point had she decided to go back to Kia, they would have charged her something like $800 for tearing apart her engine and returned her vehicle to her with it in pieces. Please do your research and believe the multitude of bad reviews of this place that can be found elsewhere. Run away from this place as fast as you can.
