5 stas on the service! Went in during busy lunch hour but was treated as the only guest there. Food is best bang for your buck. Tex Mex fare was what I expected for the lowkey spot that this is. Would come again for a no-frills meal

I went here on a Saturday night as my brother and I were craving Mexican food. We were in the area and have heard SOOOOO many good things about this place from friends, so we decided that we needed to check it out.

We were seated immediately. We were looking to see what beers they had & how the margaritas were made (don't like sweet & sour mix), but there wasn't a list on the menu or any handout at the table. The granddaughter of the owner answered all of our drink questions (we really aren't high maintenance, but we felt like it!), and we apologized to her for being so high-maintenance. She was extremely friendly and laughed. The entire staff that we interacted with were just awesome.

I had two "skinny" margaritas w/ patron silver and whew - those bad boys were good! I had the fajita beef nachos and they too were excellent. Every chip had something on it. I hate when you order nachos and you're left with a pile of chips underneath with nothing on them/to put on them. I wanted to order something else as the nachos were an appetizer that we shared, but we were both full! I did however find room for some tres leches. I've never had it before, so I wanted to give it a try. It was SO good! I don't have any others to compare it to, but I ate it all.

I can tell you that this place definitely lived up to the hype. I'll definitely be back when I'm craving Mexican food.

This is what you expect from an inexpensive Mexican food place. Also i hear the margaritas are strong. Like if your friend has to many (3) she will run and hide in the bushes strong.

Tia Maria's was awesome it was my first time there I ordered fajitas tacos and they were great we'll be back

I can't believe I've passed this place for all the years I've been on this side of town. They have quick service, the waiters/tress take care of their customers, and to top it all off the good is good. I've had better queso, but it was still good and flavorful. Their tortilla chips are made in house hot and ready. The place is huge inside. I would definitely recommend because I will be back.

Outstanding! Ole! Best Queso around! Wonderful fajitas! Their attention to detail puts everything in a class by itself! This place has been serving up proper Mexican food many years. A standard and a staple! Years ago, one of our kids did his student teaching in the area and was introduced to TM. Now they live here! We'll be back!

I’ve been informed this place has been here for decades. A nice local eatery with reasonable prices and great food which I agree so try it out people

Always great service great food and great prices! The hot sauce is always consistently amazing. We go here at least once a week. The atmosphere is very laid-back and fun.

Disgusting service for what should have been a simple 2 person take out order. The order was ready for us upon our arrival and the service was friendly and warm but upon getting home the order was missing 1 of the 3 items ordered. After calling we received an apology and told that it was not packed but ready to collect, as such we returned a second time for the remainder of the order however no apology was made in person and the food was just shoved to us. Returned home for the second time only to find that the meal was completely wrong, another phone call and we were told it was due to being busy and not taking the order correctly but return again and it'll correct. It took almost 5 minutes of arguing with various staff members before a manager took the call and again gave the same reasons (busy, order taken wrong), finally she accepted that we should not have to drive for a third time and issued a refund.

Absolutely disgraceful service and handling of the issue, we will not be going back

Family owned and fresh. Service could be better. 2 asked for no rice and beans but delivered anyway. Asked for sweet tea and got coke

Great food, nice staff, super busy at lunch so get there early. Even with high volume of customers food was still served fast hot and fresh!

This is and will be our birthday celebration destination for all of our family members! Everyone is amazing! Great care!

Randomly stopped at this place while in Houston for job training. This place has excellent salsa that tastes like they just made it with fresh tomato. Also, I couldn't get to the bottom of the chips salsa or my drink without someone refilling it. Excellent service here.

So good to know that after all these years. Tia Maria's Mexican Restaurant hadn't changed one bit! Mango margaritas are still the bomb and the food is fabulous! Just like I remembered it!

Great service, always asking what you need. Great quality Tex-mex too, and extremely lively, especially on weekends. Sometimes they have live music!

Love this place.its been around for decades for a reason.almost everything is good! Menudo is a little pricey and comes with bowl of dry spices on the side instead of fresh cilantro
