Tiger Den reviews
16Did not like it. The broth wasn't good. Tonkotsu broth didn't taste remotely like what I had in Japan previously.
We were six people. We had to wait over 30 minutes to be seated. Other small groups of 1,2,3 went ahead. Once inside it was a small restaurant so we understood. The waiter knew we did not eat pork and offer suggestion for veg meatless choice. While friend order pork choice. The food was quickly. We enjoyed our first Ramen experience. Kids love it. Shrimp was not a favorite and would take away all the Brussels sprouts. But the both was hot and soothing. It was a nice experience and friendly staff.
This was a different experience for me it was really good but trying to get a hold of the staff would take about 5 mins or more
Tiger Den is my favorite ramen restaurant in all of Houston. You can tell the noodles are made fresh in house and the yakitori is cooked right in front of you if you get a bar seat. The food is amazing and as authentic as it gets. Putting your name on the wait list is worth the possible 20 or 30 minute wait, although it does take sooner most nights. Definitely a must try in Houston's Asian food scene.
This place was just a let down in all honesty. I have heard so much talk about Tiger Den but the experience was just unpleasant. I think for new customers you should know you have to sign in on this list outside to the left. No one will tell you you have to sign in a list, went inside the 3 waiters just passed me by had to slow one down to ask how to get a table. There is no visible sign saying "sign in here". As for the food the ramen was ok, it tasted very simple/watery, the pork here is definitely an issue. The pork in the ramen was very chewy, the pork belly side order was even chewier and I had to spit it out. The ribeye skewer was very good though. Also almost got charged for food that wasn't mine. Overall unpleasant and unfortunately didn't get to realize the hype for Tiger Den. The 3 waiters are really hustling, much respect to them.
After such a long drive to Houston you were the the place that was very nice to let us four to dine in when you were about to close. Thank you.
Ramen very worth it after such a long drive, so delicious but sadly the chicken was a little pink but that's okay. Staff very kind, fast and wonderful. 9/10 will definitely come back again.
Great Service, Good Food& Good Vibes. Highly Recommend The Spicy Miso Ramen! It's A Hidden Gem, New Favorite Place
Always delicious! Best Ramen in Texas hands down. No other place literally compares to Tiger Den.not one place period!
Absolutely outstanding ramen and other food. Best ramen I ever had and I’ve had it all over. Their Tsukeman is next level delicious. I wish I could eat there every day!
Tasts like instant noodles. The meat is soft but greasy. It doesn't worth the price. I can even cook better noodles at home.
I really enjoyed Tiger Den! It's a modern and cool Ramen joint in the heart of Houston's awesome asian district! The pork broth ramen and octopus balls were delicious! I was waiting outside early before it opened with some nice people who drove 50 minutes just to eat here!
Unequivocally the best ramen joint in the city. Tiger Den serves hearty bowls of ramen and has a nice variety to choose from. It also serves food beyond ramen, but ramen is the restaurant's mainstay.
Good service and great food. I've been dining here for quite sometime but left to go to another state. This us the first time we ate since we left in 2017. Nothing much has changed. The food is great. We ordered tonkatsu and beef steak skewer. There good. I was surprised with the amount of ramen that was served. It was a lot. No wonder their price is significantly more than tamashi nearby. Personally both are great. But i love tamashi more because it's more creamy taste a tad better. I would go back again to try other food from the menu.
Ordered the tseukmen (Dipping Ramen) and shared it with my daughter since it was pretty good. Unfortunately, later that night we both had food poisoning. The atmosphere is pretty dark and cramped and water glasses are not very clean.
One of my new favorite restaurants the world over. The SW side of Houston rarely disappoints and the food and service here will blow your mind. The ramen is really good but the apps and sides and selection is what will really keep you coming back. I want to try everything.
