Timber Creek Golf Club reviews
15I messed up making a tee time for 4, TWICE, yet the guys worked us in after about an hour of waiting. Not many courses are willing to do that on a busy Saturday. They really helped me out and kept a friendly attitude about it.
Went here this morning to find a pretty despicable level of care and maintenance for a course that costs almost $80 to play. I venture to say one of the worst values in Houston and I play A LOT of golf all over this city (50+ times per year). This course is at the level of being able to charge $50 maximum. Things that weren’t even attributed to drought were present. For instance, around the collar of the bunkers they chose to leave an 8-12” wide strip around only the edge of the bunker with grass that was almost 12” tall. I am no stranger to difficulty on a course but this was negligent and unintentional difficulty. Fairways were literally cracked all over like you’re on a another planet. I understand this is a drought but no other courses I play are like this. Green sun terrible shape. Literally every putt you have over 10 ft is bumping and jumping all over the place or there is just dirt instead of grass. One good thing about it was the pace because everyone figured out they shouldn’t come here anymore I guess. Needless to say, they have lost me as a customer forever.
Some attitude in the pro shop. Been here 3 times this month and 2 of the 3 was met with attitude. Course and range balls are WAY overpriced for what this place is.
Has potential but is clearly poorly run. Not coming back.
They have three 9 holes courses. Each course has it's own challenges. The fairways and greens are almost at their peak.
Ever wonder what happens to other courses range balls after they are no longer good for use? Timber Creek buys them!
$13 for a bucket of balls and 50% no longer have dimples. This is highway robbery. Please get new range balls if you're going to keep charging these prices.
Greens, fairways and tee boxes were in poor condition. Best part of playing this course was the razzing the guy who recommended got.
Only visited the driving range and putting green. In good condition and not crowded. Would go back.
Enjoyed playing this course. Beginner friendly and staff is professional/courteous. Scenery is pleasant and not surrounded by a ton of houses. Greens could use some improvement but I’m sure keeping greens in great condition in Texas heat is no easy task while trying to balance competitive pricing.
Course is great and beautiful most of the time BUT their practice area is a -1, no racks to lean bags on at the range, flags and markers are non-existent, no chipping area, range balls are very old and usually have dried mud on them, etc etc
A decent golf course. They have three 9 hole courses. I’ve only played two, pines and creek. They are in okay shape. The worst part about this place is the price. For the price they want it should be in perfect condition but, it’s not. The tee boxes are a little rough and the fairways are not as green and full as they should be.
There are better courses around for better prices.
Had an amazing experience, customer service was outstanding, thank you Axel for your kindliness and customer service!
Beautiful course, very well designed and excellent greens. I really like the outdoor snack-shack idea and the starter Terry was very knowledgeable and welcoming.
Paid $75 for what resembled a desert. The fairways were in horrible condition, with mounds of dead grass all over, dried up dead grass. The greens were cracked, dry and extremely bumpy. Had a terrible experience.
It's so unfortunate what they do to the greens here. The layout is great. So much character. But in my 30 years of golf I have never slower greens in worse shape than this place. The greens were so long it was fairway length. Buyer beware here.
On Nov 5th at 2: 00pm I left my wallet, keys, and headphones in golf cart. I called 30 minutes after leaving and they said nothing was turned in. Cart workers obviously stole my stuff. It's unfortunate that there is no way to hold people accountable for this. Should be able to play golf without stuff being stolen out of the carts by the workers.
