My name is Robert Nunez. I am writing this letter because I would like people to know of the exceptional customer service that my wife and I received, at Timberline Houston Flooring company, located at 3209 Fondren Rd, in Houston, Texas 77063.

In February 2021, during the Texas freeze our house suffered severe damage when the freeze caused the water pipes to burst. This caused water damage to our home. The damage was so severe that it caused me to initiate an insurance claim with a restoration construction project on our home.

During the restoration we would also need the flooring replaced in the living room. I did not have any knowledge of floors or what I needed, to install a floor. Without any help from my contractor, I decided to get information and stopped by Timberline Houston Flooring. I met with sales consultant Ernie Ramirez. I explained to Mr. Ramirez the situation and advised him the contractor was not very helpful with us, and asked Mr. Ramirez, if I could ask him questions about flooring. Without hesitation, Mr. Ramirez responded “Yes, of course. ” Although, I explained to Mr. Ramirez that our contractor will utilize his own vendors for the floor, Mr. Ramirez was still happy to help us and explained the process to us and showed us what they had to offer. The selection of flooring that Timberline Houston offered was exceptional. Mr. Ramirez explained the process and before I left the store, I was a bit more knowledgeable about the process.

After finding floors we selected from Timberline Houston, we took samples to our contractor who insisted that he already had a floor installer/consultant, who would show us some samples of floors. These floor samples were not comparable to the quality of floors that Timberline offered. We kept going back and forth to Timberline Houston for about the next four (4) months. Mr. Ramirez was always ready to assist us and by this time I knew Mr. Ramirez so well, that I now simply call him “Ernie. ” My reluctant contractor finally approved a floor from Timberline. The floor is one of the floors that Ernie had presented to us, and the contractor installed this floor in our living room.

Ernie is an outstanding customer service representative for your store. He was always ready to assist us without hesitation or contradiction. Ernie is an exceptional employee and collaborated closely with us for about 4 months. This indicates that he is without a doubt the epitome of customer service.

It must also be mentioned that a female employee (Odi), was also very helpful in assisting us with the flooring.

I came to the store and selected and purchased SPC LVT - Stone Plastic Composite Luxury Vinyl Tile - for my kitchen. The salesman was pleasant and efficient. He came to our house right away to measure the area to be floored. They installed within a couple of days. Here is where I found a bit to be desired. Keep in mind, I paid approximately $10 per SF when all was said and done. The greater percentage of that was for installation. The installers were pleasant as can be, but they just dragged my appliances over my old and new floor. One appliance is on wheels, but not the others. No attempt at all was made to protect the new floor when moving stuff around. The floor seems O. K, but it would have been nice if they'd made an effort - dollies? Some kind of glides? I did have to do quite a bit of cleaning to get up marks from the dragging. After the install, I noticed one instance of install damage - a small crack on the corner of a tile - and two large instances of manufacturing defects. I feel that they might have noticed these if they'd inspected the planks before they installed. Maybe they wouldn't have. The instructions state to wait 4 to 5 hours for the float to dry before laying the actual tile or planks. They convinced me it was dry enough after 2 or 3. It probably was, but I felt that put me in an awkward and compromising position. Then they said we could walk on it right away though everything I'd read, even about SPC, stated to give it at LEAST a day to settle. We gave it 24 hours. The same installers came out to replace the cracked tile and the two flawed tiles. There was some discussion of if we could just leave the crack having leveled it somehow and there was an attempt to remove the flaws from the other tiles with a solvent, which made me more anxious than one can imagine. What did they think they would do if they got the flaws out, having ruined the surface layer? It was beyond mind-boggling. That was a weird and disturbing moment for me. Maybe I misinterpreted something? They then began replacing tiles in earnest. One of them asked to borrow a number of tools, and left one screwdriver handle of ours without its bit. What if I hadn't had screwdrivers? I think installers should have the tools they need. He even asked if he could borrow an electric drill. And if you're a floor installer, you should be accustomed to moving furniture MORE SAFELY. NOT dragging it. And, they didn't do a great job of cleaning up afterwards. Not terrible, just not great. There is a tiny bit of give and crackling when we walk on a couple of the planks. I truly expect them to settle with time. I absolutely think the manufacturing defects were anomalies and not to be generally expected. But, the installation itself gave me pause. On the positive side, the installers were pleasant and incredibly hard workers and stayed very late when they came back for repairs. I expect the floor to last a while. But, I'm very glad we're through.

Addendum: The store did follow up with a phone call and letter of apology and refunded me 8.3% of my invoice, which was nice. The floor is lovely.

Odi and team are absolutely the best. I worked with him and his wife and their commitment, help, service, installation, products, and personal attention are all simply top notch. Cannot be beat.
I've used other company's in the past who were "ok" - but no one else compares to Timberline.
I was a tough customer and Timberline made me happy. I cannot recommend more highly.

Timberline Flooring did a fantastic job installing the wood flooring in my living room and bed room. The price was competitive and customer service was excellent. If you want a professionally wood floor installer, Timberline Flooring is highly recommended!

Our engineered hardwood flooring purchase and installation from Timberline Houston went very smoothly. In particular the following.
1. The estimate of 1100 Ft^2 was extremally close, the purchased wood was exactly right.
2. The installation crews were very proficient and got through 3 bedrooms and 5 closets in four days. They moved all furniture required. A big help. They also thoroughly cleaned up and hauled away the work debris and old carpet.
3. The price paid was worth the cost and was calculated down to what was used. The estimate itemized what was paid for and material overages were removed. [ There was less float used than envisioned. ]

Very competitive pricing, endless options and 5 star customer service. Odi and Tai are very knowledgeable and very patient: we were renovating our house and had different timelines, needed kitchen backsplash, bathroom wall/floor tile / wood floors - and Odi managed to supply it all! We also needed flexibility on when floor and tiles could be installed - and they were very accommodating (including chasing additional orders express shipped from Dallas as we needed an extra tile!).
Dream team to work with. I get endless complements on my European White oak Floors, kitchen backsplash, bathroom wall and floor tile. Odi, you are the best - thank you for helping me to make the right choices (and your patience)

Timberline Floors really saved my butt and was an answer to my prayers. I had searched all of Houston for the specific flooring I had my heart set on, but couldn't find anywhere that wasn't ridiculously over priced and out of budget.until I found Timberline.

From the very beginning Earnie was amazing. Not only did he give me the best price for my flooring, which allowed me to get what I actually wanted, he was also able to get it the fastest. He stayed in constant contact with me and answered all of my countless questions.

Even when there was an issue with Fed Ex, he went above and beyond to make sure everything possible was done to make it right. My floors (Provenza- Finally Mine) were just installed and as I stare at them, totally and completely in love, I am so grateful for Earnie and Timberline for making it possible. Flooring is such a huge investment, so it's so important you get exactly what you want.

I will be using Timberline for all my flooring needs from here on out. Oh, and I do want to mention Odi, she works with Earnie and is just as sweet and amazing. My daughter just adored her. If you're looking for a flooring store, seriously, just stop and go with Timberline. I did the leg work testing out other stores and none compared, trust me.

We used Timberline Flooring after a flood in the kitchen required us to get new hardwood floors. On our first visit to the showroom Odi did a fabulous job of giving us the options that would work for us. She was able to balance well between the differences of opinion in our family.

Our sales rep Jim Flores took over from there and was fabulous to work with the whole time. He came out to our home to view the space prior to our purchase so that he was able to sell us the best flooring for our needs.

We also used Timberline for our installation. Jim recommended Edwardo, and the floors came out beautifully.

Every step of the way Jim was available for advice and questions. He was reliable and a great support throughout the whole process.

We had shopped around at different flooring stores around the Galleria area to get both downstairs and upstairs floor renovation done at our home. During our first visit to this store, Ernie was the sales guy that helped us out by taking the time to explain everything, answer all our questions regarding carpet and luxury vinyl planks. Their price was very competitive and possibly cheaper depending on the type of flooring.

Ernie's level of care, willingness to go the extra mile, and giving us regular updates over the phone are all reasons that sealed the deal with Timberline Flooring. Due to manufacturer's supply chain issues on top of the global pandemic, it took a while for us to procure the material. He went above and beyond to get the flooring installation done at the earliest possible day.

There was one problem that took place during installation to one of the upstairs closet doors. Ernie addressed it in a satisfactory manner. Overall, we are happy with both the material he helped us choose along with the quality of the labor that went into the beautiful flooring project that makes our home look new to us!

This place managed to beat prices from other competitors. They definitely provide great customer service from the beginning to the end when the floor was installed. This is not my first time getting my floors done, I wish I used Timberline previously. I will be coming back for our bathroom projects soon.

This is the best experience we have had with a flooring retailer/contractor. Aside from offering a great variety of options at competitive prices, Odi and Tai provide great customer care and services. We had a minor problem with one of the tile that was installed and Tai immediately sent someone back to rectify the issue. Based on our experience with them, we have referred their services to our friends and families. We only wish we knew beforehand that they offer other remodeling/renovation services as well.

Excellent communication from the beginning to the end. Ms. Odi was very patience in helping with the floor selections. The installation was meticulous and prompt.

Timberline floors just finished our floors and we were very impressed by their customer service. Tai and Odie were great. My installer Minh is a very hard worker and did an excellent job. Tai worked with my budget and they were all easy to work with. I definitely recommend them and would use them again.

We recently purchased Provenza flooring from Timberline and had them installed. I must say with Timberline we have the best experience compared to any other shop in Houston. Tai and Odi were extremely knowledgeable and really made you feel comfortable during the whole process. We were never under pressure to purchase. Tiles were installed my Minh, who showed up on time, worked through the day, was extremely detailed and took his time to do a great job. Overall a great experience with Timberline.
