Timing Hair, Plano TX

First time I came here, it was a decent experience. But the second time was subpar. The lady there doesn’t really much English from what I got. I asked for a two-block hair cut. Then, very important information, I asked if she could do it with the hair that I currently have, like if it’s possible or not. I can’t remember a clear answer to it, so it’s anyone’s guess if she understood my statement. As for the haircut, she cut too much hair off on the sides and also made it uneven and a little excessive trim on the front/bangs. Last visit, I also got the same haircut, but it was worse this time somehow. My left side was chopped too much off where my skin became too visible when that’s not how a two-block should look. It wasn’t like that in my last visit which was better. Then, to finish things off, I don’t get why the lady was styling my hair up when that’s not what the haircut is supposed to look like. Another thing is, I really don’t understand why she going fast when I was the only client in the shop. That was really baffling to me. Like sister, take your time, please! Anyway, I will not revisit this place. I should’ve just gotten a maintenance cut from another barbershop.

Edit: I do have straight hair, albeit not very thick like a Korean’s, but that’s no excuse to ruin my hair. Now I have to wait 2 months or so, when it grow out back to its former length, although it will be somewhat uneven thanks to the haircut that I got…

Me and my wife revisited Timing Hair again for my wife’s C-Curl perm. Michelle is always the best. She is kind and super fast even thought the salon was so busy and she is the only hair stylist. Thank you and highly recommend for men and womens cut and perm. I thinks she is honestly great.

Showed photos and was not like the pictures at all. I am not satisfied with results. Hair is uneven in areas and too short. Would not recommend for men's haircut.

I'm always very indecisive and picky when it comes to finding a place to have my hair cut, so I was very nervous. But the service was very quick, and my hair cut turned out great! It was about mid-length, and it was cut shorter, above my shoulders. She always made sure I was OK with any length changes, she was very skilled. Overall a quick and simple experience and the price was great. Highly recommend!

Update in 2023: Once again I got my hair cut short, and I love it! Michelle was wonderful and she did an amazing job! She listened to me and made sure I left very happy with my hair. Once again, I highly recommend this place!

My young daughter and I went in for cuts for the first time the other day in the afternoon. The hairdresser appeared to not be busy at all which I thought to myself was a lucky break. She cut my child's hair first and probably took 8 cuts total to cut her whole head. The problem is.she never felt compelled to inspect or clean up any details later on. When she cut my daughter's bangs, I noticed she immediately cut too much of a chunk in her haste at a strange angle and tried to conceal it with her next cuts. I didn't say anything but assumed her subsequent trims were going to cover the error. I was wrong. Upon closer inspection, her bangs angle upward in the middle and are too short in the center to match up the rest of the bangs. You can guess how bizarre this looks. Mistakes happen, I get it. I am not one to cry over my hair but her inability to at least cut all of the baby bangs straight left me shaking my head.

My cut was very much the same. She cut once for each section without ever going back to finesse the ends and verify that the ends were even. Her rushed, lackadaisical approach was super baffling. Our cuts and wash (plus blowdry) probably took a total of 30 minutes max for the both of us. My husband dropped us off on his way to another appointment and picked us up and he was shocked when I called him to tell him we were finished.

I've never been to a hairdresser who literally cut once for each section of hair without checking their work and following up with more cuts. I realized afterward how butchered my daughter's bangs were and it left me pretty frustrated considering she didn't take her time (especially since the place was EMPTY and continued to be even after I walked past there 30 minutes later). What was the rush? ! Is she that confident she can't check her work? I was kicking myself even more when I went into HMart next door and noticed the Olive hair studio was busy and thriving with young children getting cuts and everyone looked cheerful and satisfied. Btw, I spent $40 for my so-so cut and $30 for my daughter's.

I do not write reviews usually but I want to make sure that I call out how nice Michelle (the hair stylist). I came to Timing hair after bad damage to my hair from previous salon I visited. She gave me amazing treatment and haircut. They also have 2 fancy massage chairs and bidet toilet. I am definitely coming back.
