Timmy Chan reviews
21Disgusting. Rice is terrible just soy sauce and rice. Chicken had no flavor. What happened to this place? It used to be the best.
If you really want some great fried chicken do not I repeat do not waste your money on Timmy Chan on Antoine in Houston! First of all the prices at the Timmy Chan on Antoine/Tidwell is outrageous, $12 for 6 chicken wings and if you want French fries you had to substitute the fried rice for French fries that’s another. 75 cents added plus tax! And let’s not mention the seasoning, I thought I was going to bite into some nice seasoned chicken I bit into nothing but SALT, my taste buds or on point now I know a “great” piece of chicken when I eat it but the chicken wings were loaded with nothing but SALT! I couldn’t attempt to try and finish the chicken wings let alone the greasy French fries! I wasted my money and time and gas to go get the 6 chicken wings that tasted like nothing but SALT! This restaurant should hire better cooks cause baby “IT’S A HELL NO FOR ME” Sign: A MadCustomer that wants they money reimbursed
Close the whole location, combination fried rice had no salt, no flavor, no nothing. The chicken, the shrimp, the beef, all gross!
Definitely NOT the same place from a few years back.
Price up, flavor down. After 20 minutes in the drive thru, I purchased the worst chicken I have ever had from a business. Make sure you go straight home and season your food
W-4 with shrimp fried rice 12.99! Timmy chan lost their minds. The fake shrimp and soggy fried rice was NOT worth the money. Never again!
Hadn't had this old favorite in a WHILE, but Still Faithfully hits the spot! One of FEW Places where the ENTIRE Wing is Still 1 WING!
Been coming here my whole life nice to support a hometown place in times like this food is always hot and fresh!
Sevice is horrible.had to ask twice for my drink and received attitude for even asking the 2nd time. DO NOT dine in.drive through is better if you really having a craving.
The food here is the best! I would say here and mlk are the best locations. Here the food was crispy. Rice was just right and now they sell koolaid for cheap prices. You can feed your family on a budget and nothing beats that. Dad's and mom get some family packs from here, a movie and call it a night for under some bucks. Just speak clear because the Asian woman can't speak good English.
I wouldn’t even give it one star. My shrimp fried rice still had the shells on the Shrimp and egg not cooked all the way. Seriously smh. Waste of money.
Smoothies is mmmm oh my gosh i love the wing i get them fried extra crispy without the feathers
First time there they charge for everything guy said can I have some bbq sauce for my nuggets guys is like it's $1 he's like what I asked how much for regular rice to add chicken guy is $3 Oh my I know I didn't ask for a whole chicken I honestly didn't like sorry
First time here I always pass by but never stopped until today I really enjoyed the food will stop again for sure
Local favorite. Cheap eats. Wing's and rice are really good. Made to order so it takes a bit. Recommended
Jesus Christ. Timmy did something right. I'm full. The food is great. And I didn't pay tonight, but I promise it's affordable. I wish Timmy Chan had many more locations.
Good food, great portions
Been a fan of Timmy Chan for a couple of decades
So sad to see the neighborhood they have served for years has forced them to install bullet proof glass at a Chinese fast food take out?
Must be those damn uppity white folks demanding lower prices and bigger portions?
The food is usually well prepared and tasty. Portions are generous for the price. Staff is pretty distant, not friendly or helpful.
Rude and expensive called to make a order they didn’t even start till I got there had to wait a extra 20 mins and she had a attitude when we was trying to order.definitely won’t be back for along time
I waited over 20 mins for my food and literally the place only had 2 other customers. When I got up to tell the lady I had to go she was feeding her face and my food had been sitting on counter already ready. I order hot wings and they charge a $1 for ranch which I felt was ridiculous especially after my wait.
Had not been to this location since they last raised their prices on this meal, six pc wings with fries. The meal normally comes with fried rice but I was inducted into the TC world via 8 pc wings with french fries so I pay the small substitution fee. I thought it was going to be about $7.50 but their new policy is to charge for condiments! Adding the 3 packets of hot sauce at 15 cents each, with tax, my bill was over $8.00! Who charges for condiments?
Most places usually gives the customer, and yes, that's what I was, even at TC, at least 1 packet for free. Not knowing how many I would need, I purchased 3.
I ended up only using one. I stretched the one packet, to make it last. What to do with the other 2 packets? I wish I could sell them back, as I won't be needing them for another 6 months. Maybe by that time, I'll buy my own hot sauce. I guess I could put it on Craigslist.
The chicken I remember from 6+ months ago, was not the same. Something had changed. Maybe the recipe was different. Some companies change products in order to save money (or in order NOT to have to charge for condiments). The taste was not the same. Hopefully other TC locations have not changed their recipes.
It'll probably be another six months before I can eat another six pc wings with french fries meal. Even so, it won't be from there. $8.00+ is just too much to pay for something you could make at home.
