After weeks of waiting for the first visit regarding jaw pain post auto collision, the wait time was for 20 minutes and I was asked to repeat paper works that were already completed and submitted. The doctor did not even see me and the assistant spent one and half hour speaking about upfront payment of $8xx dollars for radiology work and that they would not work with insurance and it would be 3 more weeks for the results to come at which time the doctor will see the patient. If we need to make it earlier we have to pay $100 more. They would not take patients under any other conditions because they had patients that have not paid them and insurance has not paid them. I lost weeks waiting for initial assessment, hours off from work all of which could have been avoided by them informing these limitations and expectations when booking appointments. Highly disappointed and would warn anyone who may be in similar situations to specially ask about their payment expectations and insurance before waiting weeks for their appointment and returning without a doctor even seeing you.

Further to this review, I see the response from the office. I would add to clarify that misunderstanding is on the office end in not understanding the feedback that the process they believe happened did not happen in my case. They did not provide information upfront as stated about insurance and payments and process before booking appointment. The links and emails process stated is correct - however the point was not about the forms to be redone but about not informing about insurance and payments even at that time before making the forms to be redone which took good 30 minutes. Hope you understand that there was a slip in your process in my case that caused a disruption to my needed schedule and care. I am only reviewing my experience at your office and may not be what happens to everyone. There is always things that happen to some not all. My experience helps others to know to ask and as you mentioned that you are wanting to focus on solutions - I would recommend you to work with your team to ensure intake process for appointments is having a checklist to discuss these before scheduling appointment as you are a specialist and it is usually weeks for us to even get your appointment time. Just finished with phase one. The results were great, I feel a lot better and my posture improved. I don’t have migraines and I could see difference in my face appearance. I had so much facial tension so I had to see a myofunctional therapist/chiropractor. Along with the orthotic appliance, my face has been more relaxed and it’s noticeable when I look in the mirror. Dr. Coats is someone I feel like I can trust. I can tell she is smart and knows a lot about the Tmj. I have met an orthodontist before that did not pay much attention to my tmj and bone structures the way dr coats does so I am glad she treated me and shows the care I wanna see.
