Today nails & spa, Kingsville TX

First time here and loved it! Everyone is so nice and Nathan did an amazing job on my birthday nails ️

I'm pretty picky when it comes to my pedicures and have been searching for a regular place in Kingsville for years. I don't want to pay top dollar prices for mediocre work and that is what I've found so far.until now.
I was attracted to Today Nails Spa by their early hours because most places aren't too busy early in the day and I can get back to work with most of the day ahead of me.
I arrived 5 minutes after opening and the store wasn't open yet, but! It did open shortly after. What surprised me was there was already a line of clientele waiting outside. To me, that's a good sign! All the ladies were regulars and I asked if they do good work here and they all assured me they do:)
I was happy that the owner of the establishment requires masks regardless of vaccination status. There were signs everywhere saying masks were required and when a woman came in without wearing one, an employee gave her one and asked that she put it on. It makes me relieved knowing they care about their employees' as well as their customers' health and safety! Despite there being 5 other women waiting alongside me, I was seated fairly quickly and paired with a woman named Kim. She didn't talk much but! She delivered one of the gentlest pedicures I've ever gotten. She was precise with application and didn't abuse my toes while trying to push back my cuticles. The whole pedicure portion was my favorite. The pumice stone was tickly but that's just me and the massage was one of the best I've received. It wasn't overtly deep in my tissue but she did do a bit of shiatsu on the soles of my feet which felt so nice. I almost fell asleep during the massage, not gonna' lie!
The polish application was eh, so so. Not the best but not the worst. I'm sure it'll last maybe a month, hopefully longer. One snafu that happened was as she was putting the curing lamp over the top coat, my toe barely bumped the inside so I have a little smudge in the polish. It's barely noticeable though and you can only tell it's there by touching the polish. I tried to explain it happened but the language barrier made it difficult. And that was really more my fault for not tucking my toes down when she put the lamp on them than her's.
All in all, I was VERY pleased with my experience here and would definitely go back.
My shellac pedi was $43 and I was in and out in under an hour. I was happy with the speediness but also impressed that the quality was not diminished despite it!:)

Worst nail place I have ever been to. I was charged $75 for a fill and a pedicure. The pedicure came in only one package. The technician pulled my gel polish off my toe nails with nail clippers which took some of my nails with it. The tools that were used on my feet were cleaned by hand in the sink right afterwards, with soap and water super fast and put up for next use. The clippers and such were not sterilized with an autoclave or any such process. The fill on my nails was done and mind you I had taken in my own gel nail polish for both my hands and feet and I was charged still the price of the gel nail polish for using my own. I will not be returning to this nail spa just for the poor sanitation to start with secondary to prices that exceeded my normal nail place which is very elegant and high end. The drive to corpus is way worth it every time. Lesson learned. Praying I don’t end up with some sort of fungus after going to Today Nails and Spa in Kingsville.

I was charged $60 for these nails. I really liked them at first. I waited from 5: 49pm till about 6: 50pm. So I drove home I started seeing all the flaws. I had a lump on my left thumb. The line was off on my right hand and I found a black line of polish. My left had bubbles and the purple was incomplete. Hoping they fix on Monday. All in all you can’t see it from far but up close if someone asked me to see them I’d be embarrassed.

Great service and friendly staff! The facility is spacious, comfortable, and clean. Great prices too! I usually go to Natural Nails but they were full and had no seats in their waiting area either, so tried this place and I like them even more! Paid $10 less than what I normally pay so that's a plus too. I got what I wanted for a great price and great quality too.
