Tom Thumb reviews
23Always pleasant and helpful. Have some health issued and they put heavy items in separate bags. It helps.
Usual Albertsons, become a member with card, else you will lose a lot of money on the merchandise you buy.
Expensive. Poor quality produce. Limited product selection. How do they not carry oven cleaner? ! Pick Kroger all say long.
We're moving to Arkansas and Tom Thumb is one of the things we'll miss most. Always top notch produce and always great selection with multiple brands in many categories.
Overall, it has always been a good experience coming here. This Thom Thumb doesn't have all the same products than others in the area. But, overall I have always had a good shopping experience and the hours are favorable.
Worst experience with their bakery. I have never ordered a cake from there before and never will. Only reason I got stuck with them was because Albertson's baker quit and my order was transferred to this store. Ashley from the bakery called me stating she had received my cake order from Albertsons on a Wednesday, keep in mind my event was that Saturday. My theme was Llamas and she mentioned that she was unsure if she could find Llamas for my cake. She said she would call me the next day by noon to let me know if she had found some which of course she failed to do, so I had to call her. Once on the phone she said she did find some so I felt some relief. Saturday came around and it was time to pick up the cake (which was a 3 tier cake) well guess what? The cake was falling apart. The top tier was lopsided and the middle tier was slanted as well. I asked to speak to a manger, who had the guts to ask what was wrong with the cake, apparently he was blind since it was obvious that the cake was all messed up. His only solution was to give me a $20 discount. Oh and the worst part was that the cake was made on Friday since Ashley was off on Saturday. All I wanted was a descent cake to celebrate my daughter's first birthday and all I received was an anxiety attack from this bakery.
I gave 4 stars just because Tom Thumb will always be expensive to me compared to other regular grocery stores. But this store is quiet even when it’s busy and the people are usually nice i haven’t had an issue yet.
I like Tom thumb, but I feel like recently the produce has gone down hill. When we came in there were flys all over and not a good selection.
This is a couple of miles further than the Kroger at Old Denton so we only go once every 2 or 3 months, usually just for a couple of things we can't find otherwise. Every time we've gone it smells weird, like spoiled milk or dead rats. They really need to mop with Pine Sol every night while it's closed until the stench goes away.
Tom Thumb is always clean and the food selection is great. Veggies and fruit always seem to be very fresh. I'm loving the home delivery options too. They have self-check out lanes which is great for quick trips. Staff is friendly and you can usually find someone to help you pretty easily.
I'm a housekeeper each time I was going in a hurry always get Pine-Sol I'm glad Tom Thumb is just around the corner
I love this grocery store I just wish that the prices were not so high. I can find some of the exact same things at Walmart for much less!
They usually have everything in stock that I need I don't go to this location that much but I do have a Wells Fargo ATM so I find it convenient for me personally
Tried to use the phone app, wouldn't pull DC ow any data, showed me and the right store, app kept telling me to contact support center. Went to store Custer service, they theirs were working, I asked if I had to be connected thru the stores network, they said yes, I said no other stores required that (Kroger. Target, etc), they replied that's the way it is if you want to use the Tom thumb app, so I left
Good grocery store, friendly and helpful staff, their pharmacy has always had great people working in it. Prepared produce there is especially good and the bakery.
I go here when I don't want to do a lot of walking, as it's one of the smaller grocery stores in the area. I can usually find a close parking space. Their prices are okay, not great. You need a store card to get the best prices. Their produce doesn't always look bright and fresh. They do have a convenient floral section, a good bakery section, and a Starbucks in the store, which are plusses.
In the last 3 years, I've not passed passed by the meat department without genuine greetings & offers to assist with finding the right item.
When checking out the cashier ask me if I found everything and I told her no. She called the manager and he brought the items to me that I could not find. They were very helpful.
Just had the most horrible experience that I've ever had in a grocery store. The "headbaker", as she called herself, decided that she couldn't decorate a cake for a black woman. However, after calling the store to check if it was possible she stated that she cold decorate a cake. Please don't assume that I cannot afford a cake based on my skin colour. If I could give less than 1 star, I would do so. If my race offends you, then please allow someone else to help me.
A much more casual shopping experience, great deli, produce and meat. They have a helpful app too.
