Tom Thumb reviews
22A bit of a disappointment tom thumb on the west coast serves Chinese food at the hot deli apparently not in Texas
It gets the job done when you're looking for something specific, usually meat for grilling that is on sale or special.
Don't carry simple everyday items. Always have to go to other stores when I go here first. Example they carry 8 kinds of aluminum foil, but no press and seal, and only one cling film
I shop here frequently. The site is always clean and staff is friendly. Sometimes hard to get help carrying groceries to the car.
When I moved to Dallas, one of the requirements for finding a home was to not be further than 1/2 mile from a Tom Thumb. Enough said!
I normally shop at Whole Foods, so my standard for grocery stores is quite high. I was in a rush the other afternoon and stopped in here for organic onions. They don't carry organic onions - just conventional. And those all looked as though the truck that delivered them to the store had been in a rollover accident.
Meat guys were not very personable and they cut such big pieces, I asked for 1 1/2 cut and got 4.24 pounds, they did give me the sales price, but $62. + I just set them down.
Has some spectacular occassional spot sales but generally an expensive alternative to Walmart, Aldi or a number of Hispanic grocery stores.
They have a variety of foods offered in the deli. It is often busy at certain points in the day. It is a nice place to shop.
So unreasonably priced, ridiculously expensive and it's a must for us sometimes because it closer in proximity then Walmart or Krogers which I thought was expensive but apparently not.
They NEED a HEB here is Dallas TX
I have shopped there numerous times but today I was looking for Quest Labs and Customer Service pointed the way; had no idea it was inside of Tom Thumb. Just one more service to be happy about!
This Is A well-stocked grocery store. It's just the right size, not too big not too small. It seems pretty obvious that customer service isn't a particularly high priority for the store's management.
And this is a large, well-stocked Tom Thumb. It includes a pharmacy, Bakery, Starbucks, floral department, and gas station.
I am a frequent customer and I like the store just fine but today met a young man working express by the name of Samuel who was very friendly and helpful!
I always get good service here but when Harry in the office found my wallet and saved it for me with all my cash, credit cards and gift cards untouched I was truly so grateful. Thank you for keeping it and being an honest young man. I will be back to this store!
This store is overcrowded poorly stopped and I hate those damn reward cards. I was hoping once they became part of Albertson's they would do away with that. And why didn't they use the larger Albertsons store across the street?
You either find a ton of employees working the floor or none! You have to go searching in the back room for them. And the cashier's, most of them, have like no personality, none!
Easy to get into and out of. Has a good selection, and the staff are friendly and helpful if you ask for assistance.
Great bakery, other than that, literally every item I find there is more expensive than any other grocery store. Since I am pretty frugal, and steward our family's money pretty responsibly, I don't bother stopping into any Tom Thumb if I have another option.
