Top Drawer Thrift reviews
17Very little selection. The atmosphere was fun, and the decorations were cute and quirky but they had so little to offer.if I wanted to look at quirky decor I'd just skip the shop and drive around austin
I had the pleasure of receiving assistance from Ben, and Matt I believe, although I'm unsure if Ben is a designer, his talent was evident and it’s only appropriate for such an artistic, beautiful shop. They both went above and beyond by helping me dissemble and move a table into my car, and their friendly demeanor added to the positive experience. The artistic atmosphere of the business and the kind, professional staff truly set it apart from any other store. Highly recommended.
Always a favorite! Everything is set up in such a fun, quirky way and curated perfectly. They also support an amazing cause.
Top Drawer has always been the best thrift store I have ever visited. They have amazing things - from fantastic clothes of all types to gorgeous housewares to electronics and even, right now, an organ! Everything is arranged beautifully, and the decor is cool and fun.
Top Drawer Thrift has been a fun place to go for me for over 13 years. Half my home is still furnished from items from there. Eclectic, LGBTQ super friendly, vintage, unique, and fab finds to be found here.
Super nice staff, very knowledgeable and helpful make it a wonderful experience. Karen, the manager has a heart of gold.
I have also been giving stuff and donating items there for many years. Occasionally they will do a consignment for some big furniture piece that has some value to it over $100. All of my donations go to help people in need of medical assistance and housing.
Also I give part of my Amazon proceeds to Project Transition, this is what the charity is under. I think it's like 1-2% per order. There are a lot of charities but I choose to give to this one. Use AMAZON SMILE to designate your charity of choice.
This place is AWESOME. If you’re into vintage electronics, definitely check it out. Really cool stuff.
My new favorite place! Different items all the time, from clothes to furniture to knick knacks. Now my go-to shopping destination!
I love this place! They always have beautifully curated glassware, an insane collection of all things radio/vintage electronics, art, clothing, and shoes. You’re supporting great humans while getting good deals…what’s not to love?
This store skews a little more toward vintage than strictly "thrift, " but it's also more eclectic than some. It does have a larger selection of used CDs than most thrift stores as well.but not as many books. (As of April 2022 it's been reorganized a bit-more knickknacks and old audio gear, less books-and, yes, you do have to wear a mask in it. Which is just fine, IMHO.)
Always a place to go for great deals, unique items and a top-notch staff
I love this place.
Hours currently are Tues - Sat 11am to 5pm and from the looks people flock to it.
*currently, as of Mar 2,2022, masks are required; personalities choice, respect and love*
Honestly, it’s a really cool store with some pretty interesting things (about half of it being display only, with no signs saying so), and most of it is priced decently (for a consignment shop, not a thrift store), but where they lose me is the staff. It’s the most unwelcoming place I’ve shopped at in Austin, which is ironic because as an Austin drag queen I’d think a store advertised as queer friendly wouldn’t make me want to leave immediately. They act like they’ve reluctantly opened up their private collection to the public for a one day event to make some money, but hate the idea of mingling with the common people. I’ve gotten attitude for buying things, for not buying things, asking to see things behind the case, asking if something is for sale, and if it were just me, I’d think I just have bad energy, but I see it happen with everybody. Oddly enough, it creates a weird sense of camaraderie when I look over at a customer whose been berated and we each share that look that says ‘wow, what a #{*{%>’.
It’s a shame because they allegedly donate and work with a bunch of Austin queer friendly charities. Too bad they are averse to making money.
I would probably call this an antique store more than a thrift store. The parking is scarce and hard to get into. Very cute place to see some neat things.
Hidden treasures await! I found several high quality tops here, and I always enjoy the new pieces and great music. Helpful staff.
Amazing store full of treasures, with very fair prices to boot. Supports a great cause as well!
Amazing vibes very welcoming store. Super nice at checkout and I got some great stuff from this store! Totally check it out when you can!
This thrift store is absolutely amazing! Super cool inside and I found many cool clothing pieces. The staff so nice and accommodating. Overall, they have a great atmosphere with great people!
A must visit when thrifting in Austin. Clean and well laid out. Interesting inventory. Quirky, fun, memorable. July 2021- masks still required and number of shoppers limited. Convenient corner location. Check it out!
