Torchy's Tacos, Allen TX

Place used to be good. We went on january 29th, 2021 and noticed their prices have gone way up and the quality of food was less than great!
corn tortillas were so dried out i could not eat them.brisket was fatty.you just dont get much food for 5$ per taco.i wont be going back anytime soon.thank you.

Me and my family have been loyal customers since we moved to this area in 2012. We love this place and go here all the time! Because of COVID however, its been difficult to go out, so we decided to place an order through DoorDash. It was an estimated wait of 45 minutes which is understandable considering it’s a Friday night. We were alerted after 30 minutes that our order was ready, so my mom went to pick up the food. Stating she was picking up a doordash order and had gotten a notification the order was ready, one of the workers went to look for it and told her it wasn’t ready, even though they had notified us otherwise. My mother has to tell several different workers her name and what she ordered, and all of them reply the same thing “it’s not ready yet”. THIRTY minutes go by, and my mom once again asks for our DoorDash order, to which the incompetent girl at the front says “oh it’s a DoorDash order? ” and picks up a bag that has been sitting there for the duration we waited. She let our food sit there, ready, while we waited for 30 minutes for it to come out. Had she put any effort into her job at all, she could have clearly seen the order was ready. Instead of offering a discount, refund, or any other compensation she asks if we want them to remake the order, as if we hadn’t already waited 30 minutes.
So of course, we return home with soggy and cold tacos that were nothing more than disappointing, only to find that they had left out one of our meals as well. Not only is the front of house incompetent but the back of house as well.
I’ve looked at other 1 star reviews and it seems as this experience is not unusual. If you want hot tacos, good food served in a decent time, and workers who won’t give you snobby attitudes DON’T COME HERE! The managers or owner has yet to reply to any of the negative experiences and reviews, which shows how much they care of their so called “customer service”. We will never be back again and encourage others to find better food and service elsewhere.

Every other taco place I've visited in the area is better than this Torchy's. The chips were salted to the point that no one at the table wanted to eat them, the fajita taco meat was extremely over cooked, and barabcoa was dry as can be. It was either over cooked as well or old. In general the tacos were bland and seemed to be made with cheap ingredients. My wife said, "I make better tacos than this at home. " And she's right! Do yourself a favor and go to one of the many other taco places in the area. They're all better than this place.

Very tasty tacos, burritos, chips, etc. I love trying their specials too! I'm not a huge fan of their breaded shrimp taco but most of their food is excellent quality and full of flavor. A few times they've messed up our orders, usually missing the chips and queso, which is why I'm giving it 4 stars.

This Torchy's is fantastic. Great friendly fast service, delicious food, very clean especially. All employees have masks on OVER their noses.

The menu is intriguing and the food quality is very good. Just takes a bit long to get it on most visits. Recommend phoning or webbing in your order.

Love love love this place! The most delicious street tacos in town! You’ve got to try their chips and queso.

The food is 5 stars but the service at this location is in tail spin. They need management and supervisory help. The brand and food can not compensate for how poorly run this location is. With a line to the door they have 1 person working the register and I watched 4 employees stand around the corner. It to 30 minutes to get 2 tacos. Totally unacceptable!

I normally adore Torchy's, but today was a disappointment to an extent. The flavor of my tacos (Bama and green chili pork) was good, but both were lukewarm at best. The Bama was pretty much cold. My mother got the beef fajita and found that the meat was horrible.gristle-y and fatty and pretty much unchewable. She threw it all out of the tortilla and just had toppings. We would have returned it but we didn't have time.

This place was awesome the lady up front was so helpful. I couldn't decide on what I wanted she was alot of help. The food was perfect will definitely be going back!

You can never go wrong with Torchys. Love this place. The unique tacos keep me coming back. The Tipsy Chick, Trailer Park and Crossroads are my favorites.

The food is amazing and great customer service. Nice place to come with friends to eat, drink, and be merry.

Love the tacos, hate the flies. This place has a serious fly problem so bring your own pest control. Also people holding tables is a big issue.

Excellent tacos! The elite corn was so tasty, and the queso dip and chips were a must have. Fun atmosphere and great staff.

The place was crowded and slow to get people through the line, but the food was delicious and the staff was really friendly. On top of that, the food was out really quick too. I spent more time in line than I spent waiting for the food, and it was worth it. The atmosphere was really nice too, so all around a great first time!

Tacos were dry and mild flavored. The price is too high for the quality and quantity. The wait is unacceptable, at 30min+.

We placed a to go order on a Thursday night at 730pm and it took them 45 minutes to get us our order.and even after all that wait the order was wrong and subpar! The driest shrimp taco I have ever eaten. I didnt.even finish it. Will never go back to a Torchy's again!

Typically awesome experiences, but usually very crowded and can be difficult to find a seat. The food is always kickin' and I enjoy their original soda flavors.
