Torchy's Tacos, Cedar Park TX

We have always been big fans of Torchy Tacos. We stopped by the Torchy Tacos on Whitestone today after almost a year of maintaining COVID safety. We are strict vegetarians and have meat allergy too. They used to have atleast 3 vegetarian options earlier, but we were disappointed to find only 1 veg taco on the menu today. Anyway, we ordered the tacos and waited quite long to get them. We had ordered corn tortillas, the tacos came with flour. We said - it's ok, probably their kitchen is busy catering to the big crowd, let's not fuss. What really disappoints us was when we were midway through the tacos and discovered a piece of meat! We called the manager, he said it looked like pork and that he would take it to the chef. Did not expect such cross-contamination at Torchy, there was a level of trust we had in them, not anymore. Disappointed, not going back.

Always great, I would like to share with you folks we have always had a wonderful experience in Cedar Park. Today we asked if we were fully vacanted At this location if we could
get the free tacos KXAN news shared on Friday. But it was at another location the manager honored the tacos, His name was Ian. I would just like to share what great customer service!

All I have to say is go to a different location.tacos were unappetizing just looking at them (Fried Avocado taco was soggy and not fried), customer service was extremely poor and unfriendly from the beginning.

Torchy's Tacos sets the standard for tacos in the greater Austin area (between them and Papalotes), especially if you want something spicy. I will say that in the last few years, I feel like some of their sauces like the Diablo have been less spicy than they used to be, but it may just be my tolerance to the heat.

I recommend you look through the menu and try at least one taco that you wouldn't otherwise attempt. The monthly flavors are also neat and usually add something you wouldn't expect, whether it's sweet or a spicy kick. 2-3 tacos constitutes a meal. Don't be afraid to experiment!

Definitely have to try their tacos there avocados tacos. Are delicious going to try their Jamaican jerk chicken one next

Do not do doordash or any delivery services for them messed up my order and my person was waiting over 40 minutes.

I've only been here twice and the same employee has helped me both visits. She is Hispanic and has long black hair with glasses. She's always giving me an attitude and being a smart a**. I don't appreciate her sloppy and unprofessional service. I love Torchy's, and really wanted to give this location another chance, but I won't be coming to this location again. However, the manager came up to me and apologized sincerely and gave me a refund and that is the only reason why I'm giving this location 2 stars. All of the other employees and the manager were super sweet and helpful. It's unfortunate that ONE employee can ruin the value of a location. This is the FIRST TIME I’ve ever posted a review or complained about a specific individual. I let it slide the first time, but when the SAME employee gives me an attitude my second visit, then something needs to be said.

So here is the deal, if you don't understand the maniacal desire for tacos that possess some people, this place will change you born again hard for tacos!

Breakfast, lunch or dinner, Torchy's will be your dark savior.

Oh and they have a full bar.

Horrible service. Rude staff. Long wait.

Ordered tacos to-go and waited 40 min. When asked how much longer, the staff member rudely resonds with "it's only been 30 min, we will let you know. " Maybe the staff is upset about working on new years day, or the management is too cheap to train their employees. Whatever the reason, I hope their establishment has better customer service and shorter wait time on their New Year Resolution List.

If you like Tex Mex styled Tacos with good portion size, you won't be disappointed. Ordered 4 different kind, all tasted the same pretty much or guess got diluted. Only two types of sauces given though there are more available. Did not ask for anything extra. Price is about $4 average for a taco. They serve beer and some liquor too.

One of the best tacos. Whether you prefer chicken, brisket, fish you'll find what you want. The veggie tacos like fried avocado are amazing. I encourage to try something you've never had before.

Good food. Great service. The place needed to be cleaned and trash was over flowing. Looked at but under staffed for the day I visited.

I always love Torchy's! It's so good. So unique. And an Austin favorite to take friends and family to.

Yes, it was busy, there was a wait. But the breakfast tacos were hot and tasty. Go early on weekends!

Torchys is a great place for some fun and unique tacos. It has a great Austin type vibe even though this location is pretty far north. They have high chairs and a good amount of tables and space. Our kids loved the food and we enjoyed it quite a bit. Check out a Torchys sometime for sure.

This place was awesome, but recently they can't keep the quality of food. And, anyone who orders beef fajita, need to check your order carefully since you are likely get brush fire.

Not a huge fan of tacos in general but I do like these. The shrimp tacos and the avocado tacos are very good.

The tacos are always great, but I prefer this location because of the drinks. Great customer service too.

Usually I would give them 4 stars, but on my last visit they were slow, not real friendly. Food was pretty good though

This place has an interesting vibe. They have a small bar that looks like they can make any alcoholic drink. The Democrat taco was okay nothing special, hence the name. LOL. The guacamole was fresh and delicious. The queso was also delicious and a little on the spicy side. I would go back just for the guacamole and queso and maybe a nice alcoholic beverage.
