Torchy's Tacos reviews
17 Food was really good, however the male cashier on the afternoon of September 24th seemed agitated to be taking my order. I can't stand Karen's so maybe he got some before me or maybe he just hated his job but I didn't give him any grief.
I don't expect someone to be jumping for joy to be taking my order but his mood actually brought me down. I was honestly looking forward to a nice dinner after a long week working at the hospital and my experience here put a sour taste in my mouth.
Never tried the tacos or anything else on the menu. However I have to have my queso and chips fix. Only one queso and chips for me and fam.
I know my seasonings and this place is absolutely disgusting. Everything had way too much salt and I don’t mean in a “I’m being health conscious” kind of way because I’m not. I mean in a “I’m questioning my taste buds and sense of taste and had to eat something else to prove there wasn’t anything wrong with my taste buds” way. Literally too salty to the point I couldn’t taste the food! What’s the point of using all those ingredients if you can’t taste anything behind the too much salt? I ordered the trailer trash, corn, queso and chips, and Democrat. The trailer trash, queso, and the corn were all too salty to the point I couldn’t taste the chicken, the cheese, and the corn. Just salt and too much of it. The Democrat was bland and was too dry. Like isn’t this supposed to be Mexican food? Mexican food is more flavorful then what I was served (either too salty or bland and dry). I’ve eaten Mexican food in ever single state I’ve been to and this falls to the bottom. Shocking because Texas has such a large Mexican population. If it’s supposed to be “Americanized” Mexican food (catered for a white audience), it’s failed at that miserably too. Inauthentic “Mexican” places like Chipotle and Taco Bell know there’s more to seasoning food then just adding too much salt.
Thanx Tyler for the recommendations I go go spa near by im not from the area I enjoyed my gipsy chick taco and trailer park taco was the best they also got Mexican cokes to wash down ur taco and mimosas was so hungry had no time for pix
The person taking my order seemed more annoyed with my existence than anything. I spent a lot of money to throw it all away. The salsa was nasty. The tacos were all made incorrectly.
Love these people here for some reason my cards weren’t working and they helped me set up my Apple Pay so I could pay for my food that way.
Ugh. Rubbery packaged tortillas. Burnt bacon. There are so many better options nearby, but some out of town friends read good reviews so i relented. They were buying so i wasn't going to rain on their parade.
Limited, tight parking lot but it is onsite and free.
Busy and moderately crowded at lunch. Ordering ahead through their website is recommended and a good experience. Otherwise, can be a bit of a wait for your order. This company has come a long way from the original food trucks I used to visit in Austin!
It's a Torchy's, it's. Okay?
Good location, but the recent menu changes to Torchy's remove a lot of the joy and best items that could be found there, which is a major annoyance. Also, the ordering area at this Torchy's is confusing, with people often approaching from both sides of what should be the line, coupled with a mildly haphazard seating area.
In all honesty, this is a perfectly fine Torchy's if it was the old menu, but the newer rump menu simply is too small to justify a five-star rating.
Also, a distinct lack of vegan options.
Hey If you are reading this and looking to have some tacos! I think you should guess no further about this place, this incredible place was told to me by a friend and relative I thought we should just try it as mentioned without fail by my friend.
This is the best taco ever so juicy and stuffy I have ever had in a taco place in Houston.
The best ever bite of every flavour filled with richness of meat and spices you will ever have in every single bite here.
I really recommend people to go here for for their tacos, to be honest we are coming back again from NY to be your guest.
No wonder why you have so much wait time all the time at your restaurants.
The servers are really nice and helpful for you to order.
Love this place to the most for Tacos.
Forgot to take many pics as was indulging in this flavour after ordering.

The ONLY place in my experience that when you call in for curbside, you call and tell that you have arrived. They come out and get your credit card. Only THEN do they start preparing your meal, taking 15 minutes to put together a few tacos, whose ingredients are already cooked and just placed together, wrapped and bagged. If they are worried about making food for someone who doesn't show up, do like other places and ask for your cc info when you initially call it in? Even the Torchys nearby on Bissonnet/Weslayan has your food ready within a few minutes when you let them know you have arrived. THAT is where I am getting my next Torchys, they have a LOT better attitude!
Missed torchy’s so much being away from Texas. Was gonna order online but I couldn’t decide and wanted another opinion. Diana was super patient and recommended the wrangler. Excellent choice.
The tacos were worth it, we ordered from the secret menu and it was so good. The guy who took our order was so patient since it was our first time there
I've been here before and the tacos and chips and queso were spectacular. Would have put down 5 stars.
Yesterday, I was disappointed to be served stale corn tortillas and not-so-warm food. The corn tortillas came apart in my hands and I had to scoop up the ingredients from the basket to eat my taco.: (
Great manager, knows how to treat customers when things go awry, or in general. Quick, accurate service for people with refined Torchy's tastes.
Torchy’s never disappoints no matter which location you’re at.the service wasn’t necessarily the best, but it wasn’t terrible either.my i chose to sit outside because it was such a beautiful day out.came in during happy hour so of course i had to get a margarita.it wasn’t too busy that afternoon so my food came out fast — probably within 10 to 15 minutes of me ordering.i had two Mr. Oranges, one grilled Baja Shrimp, and a Brushfire taco all on flour tortillas. SMAAASSHHEDDD on those tacos okay!? They were oh so good.blessed my belly.the strawberry margarita was delicious too.
I got the chicken fajita tacos honestly some great tacos loved the ingredients and the salsa! A bit pricey but good size and really tasty
