Toro Ramen and Poke Barn, San Marcos TX

I have been going to Toro Ramen since they opened, and year after year they provide amazing food, great quality of service, and overall it is one of my favorite places to go. I have never had something here I did not enjoy, the food is good and consistent, and almost feel like I am going to someone's house instead of a restaurant becasue of the quality of care I get while I am there. I love the ramen so much that even on 107 degree summer days I want their food. I highly recommend coming here and trying it out. Owner and staff are very friendly, and overall it is a great experience!

I've eaten here a bunch of times before (Ramen & Poke') & its always delicious! Ordered takeout this time & it was not a disappointment. My husband & I both got ramen, with some add ons. The server was by herself & immediately apologized for that. We felt bad for her, considering it was kinda steady as far as dine in & takeout patrons. Our food came out in less than 10 minutes & it was perfect. The only thing I would change about this place is the fact that they close mid day for a few hours. This is my go-to place since it's much closer than Austin & I don't always eat at the same times of the day.my ramen/poke' cravings kick in whenever they want!

The best ramen in the world is located in San Marcos Texas at toro ramen. I just got back from Paris France where I made an hour line to go eat the best ramen they had there and let me tell you that it’s not even close to being as good as the ramen here at Toro ramen everything from the consistency of the noodles the tender pork the complex broth with the fresh ginger strips is unforgettable. I’ve tried ramen in 8 différents states 10 countries nothing even compares. Try to spicy pork ramen it’s to die for

I'm a picky eater, but I have been wanting to try ramen noodles like these, and they had one perfect for me to try. Our server was super nice and patient with us. The ramen was really good.

The place was on Texas State campus but was clean and friendly. The service was quick and easy. The food was amazing. I got the spicy edamame and spicy tonkatasu which was delicious and great flavor. Will def be back again!

The food was really good.
I asked if they could cook my egg so that the yolk wasn't runny, and they said they couldn't. That was disappointing.

Got some food to go from this place. It was good. My friends went back several times for more. The Yakisoba was good.

My son and I visited Toro Ramen today. I had the Spicy Tonkotsu Ramen. It was delicious. It had the right amount of spice and the flavor was very satisfying. Also, enjoyed the Thai tea. I would return.

My partner and I have been coming here for years and we continue to have wonderful experiences. The food is absolutely delicious here, all home made, served hot and quick! We alternate between the Yakisoba & the ramens, both are incredible. The spicy garlic tofu appetizer goes HARD it is so full of flavor and will definitely have your nose running! The staff is always quick and friendly. Our food gets out in a reasonable time and we are constantly getting checked in with refills or just in general. We love Toro, it’s truly a gem in our little town.

2023 May 7th: The Spicy tonkotsu ramen was so good! Ingredients were well proportioned and very customizable. I drank the broth down to the last drop, atmosphere was a bit boring. But my water came out immediately and food was fast.

I really wish I had taken I picture. I ordered Poke 4, and chose Spicy Tuna and Yellowtail Tuna as my protein. This Poké was perfect. Every flavor note was present, along with every variety of texture. I cannot wait to come back and order again!

Who would have thought you would find a fantastic ramen place here at San Marcos near the university campus. The food here is truly amazing, and my ramen was absolutely amazing and I upgraded to the kale noodles and totally loved it. My son loved his dish as well. The takoyaki was the best. I can't wait to come back. You got to try this place. You will not be disappointed.

Love their spicy garlic tofu.butayake is really good but if you ordered mixed chicken and pork, they get too salty
