Town & Country Veterinary Hospital reviews
26We took our dog Buddy into the vet hospital after he began limping and were there from about 9pm - 2am on 6/15. Buddy is a pretty old jack russell and despite putting up ramps to help him get up and down the stairs to our backyard with the dog door, he wasn't able to make it back up the ramp himself and got stuck outside in the backyard for about 20 minutes while I was working before I noticed. I told the vet what happened, that I saw what happened on our ring camera afterwards and said that I was pretty certain he burned his paws on our stone patio and that I thought I felt blisters, but wasn't certain as I had never dealt with paw pad burns before. I asked the vet to check for burns and she told me she saw no signs of blisters and suggested an X-ray, which I agreed to thinking something else may have happened. 600 dollars later Buddy got home around 2: 30am and I noticed that he did indeed have blisters on his two front paws and not only this but both had ruptured at the vet and were now open wounds (large tears had opened at the edge of the black part of his front two paw pads and paw). I was extremely frustrated and called back and told the vet who apologized. I told her I only agreed to the X-ray because she told me he did not have blisters / burns and I didn't know what else to do for him. She acknowledged this was her fault for not noticing, but made no offer to refund the X-ray fees. She also asked me to bring him back at 2: 30 in the morning to have bandages put on, which she said would have an additional cost. I ended up bandaging him myself at home before taking him to my regular vet. Suffice to say, it was a horrible experience and not only was I charged several hundred dollars for the X-ray that my dog didn't need, I was also never called back with the results. All in all, I got ripped off, paid for something my dog didn't need and was never even given the service I paid for. On top of all of this, the vet tried to push an adequan injection on me, which was also unnecessary. Luckily, I've had dogs on adequan and know that it requires several booster shots before going to a monthly dose and would've been completely useless as a one time treatment. I really question the integrity of this entire practice or at a minimum the vet who saw my dog. I'll be filing a dispute for the cost of my entire visit with my credit card provider and a complaint with the bbb. Please beware of this vet unless you are truly in a life threatening emergency for your pet. If you're looking for an outstanding vet, I highly recommend Lincoln heights animal hospital. They're my regular vet and everyone there is truly amazing, especially Dr. Gilson.
One of the most important things for us is the 24/7 service Town & Country provides. They provide that service at reasonable rates. And since we foster LARGE (as in Great Dane large) dogs we need a facility that can handle large dogs.
They are the most incompetent individuals they pretend to care on top of that they misdiagnosed my dog (in which I consider my little boy) The vet on top told me he had diagnosed 5 dogs that day with pancreaittus, really? Went back two days later because my dog wasn't eating they tried to charge me 500 for an x-ray when I had already told them it was a blockage from eating bird seed that was knocked off the counter by the cat. Sure enough I went to another clinic and they realized that and they cured my little boy. DO NOT GO HERE IF YOU LOVE YOUR ANIMALS.
Not really a emergency unless your fur baby is on the verge of death.otherwise take a number and wait
Called for an emergency. Instead of tending to me and my cats needs they sent me a list of other emergency vets to take my cat. Apparently the vet wasn't in.
Very compassionate, professional and informative. Attendants and Physician efficient. Very likeable. All the way around very positive experience.
Always a great experience here! Techs are nice, Dr. Cade and her relief vet are both extremely kind and truly care about their patients. Thank you for taking care of my four-legged family members!
My dog was attacked by a pitbull. We went to BluePearl Hospital and Dodd hospital, the best choice we made was getting her transferred to Town and Country! The staff is so helpful, especially tech miguel and Jules (FD). Lola was just released yesterday, and we are so grateful for everything they have done for us!
I called in to request a refill of my dog's med and the receptionist was extremely nice and helpful. I was notified as soon as the med was ready. Also, Dr. Manning is a very kind and compassionate dr. He will not do, or prescribe, anything that isn't necessary. He's their overnight vet but I will not see another vet and don't mind going in for late appointments.
Dr. Manning is the best with my fractious cat. Thank you to the night shift. Ya'll always give us such great care! Thank ya'll for dealing with my Stormy!
These guys are great! While at times you end up waiting quite a bit, ultimately they provide great care for your pets and are very organized when you need past records. Also for urgent care or vaccinations for boarding, you can always walk in with an appointment which is so convenient
Took my 3.3 pound, special needs, elderly cat there as it was after hours and our regular vet was closed. Awful experience. They handled my cat physically rough and the emotional situation even rougher. I would never recommend this place to anyone.
Really willing to go above and beyond to help you out, very friendly. Clinic was willing to call in a vet to look at my Hedgehog, thanks for all the help!
The late night staff/techs are amazing! Thanks to Marcus and Miguel for being so gentle with my girls, and for being patient with me, and a huge thanks to Dr. Manning! He was polite, gentle and very sympathetic when he sent my sweet babies (2 sick cats) into their blue dreams. It was one of the hardest decisions I've ever had to make, and I wouldn't have taken them anywhere else. ️
Their wait times have increased and friendliness has decreased over the past several months. Hopefully it's just a fluke.
Staff is patient and takes the time to listen to the needs of each pet. Vets also listen to your concerns and take the time to explain things.
I came here at 2am for my guniea pig because it says they are 24 hours. It’s a 24 min drive from where I’m at & I drive all the way over there for them to just tell us that they don’t have a doctor in.
I think this is a very good vet but they seem to be aware of it. I have been taking my dachshund puppy there for a couple of months. They make my little man feel like he’s the best dog in the world. I have now switched vets due to the lack of customer service. Every time we have been there the wait gets longer and longer. Last time it was 1 & 1/2 hours past our scheduled appointment. No one said a word or apologized. The dr told me I could schedule his neuter any time. I called but the only person that can schedule surgery was not there. She called me and while I was at work so I returned her call and again she was not there. I left word of the day I was wanting both times I spoke with the office. When I finally caught her at the office I was told the day I wanted was booked. Ok let’s look at next week. Dallas informed me the surgery schedule was not out and I would have to take my chances. No word on when it would be out. No let me hold a day for you or anything. It was only 5 days out. This is ridiculous. Your customers have to work and my days off change. Her response to me was “well we fill up fast”. In the mean time they hired another receptionist so they can make more appointments so the wait will probably be longer. Dallas’ attitude came across as she felt the were worth the wait and inability to get an appoint for my needs was to bad. They offered me an email for her supervisor. Very impersonal. I’m sure they have enough customers that me and my little wiener dog don’t matter but Dallas you need to find a new career.
I love Town and Country. I've never had a bad experience here. They always take such great care of my pets.
Never go to this vet hospital. The slowest staff ever. You guys should improve your service. Thumbs down! Not recommended.
