TownePlace Suites by Marriott Amarillo West/Medical Center reviews
19Love the room.very retro themed rooms.great amenities. I used the workout room. Great equipment. The hot tub was fantastic.ccccc
This was our 2nd year in a row staying here while passing through on a long drive. Excellent hotel. Can't figure out why it's only rated as a 2 star hotel. Should be a 3 star hotel. Friendly service, clean rooms with full kitchens, and comfortable beds. Lots of breakfast options and good coffee too! Convenient to I40.
Love this hotel! It’s brand new, delicious hot breakfast and they will let you borrow lots of cooking things like rice cooker, grill, mixing bowls, etc.
Super place to stay! Clean and friendly. I regularly book here when I'm in the mood for the saltwater hot tub and pool. Fantastic breakfast selection, great staff. The GM runs a great crew, and they will take excellent care of You.
Great place to stay! Lots of breakfast options, including gluten-free. Pool & hot tub were just what we needed after a long day of driving. Clean and not crowded. Everywhere was clean and smelled good. Parking lot was well lit and we didn't have any concerns about leaving our belongings in our car. Would definitely recommend!
Solid hot breakfast! Great rooms. Perfect place if you have families and need a place to heat up/store food since they have a small stove, fridge, microwave and dishwasher.
Excellent Stay. Smooth, no-wait check-in @7: 30pm. Top floor (4th floor) accommodations quiet, clean, and very comfortable. Room outfitted for longer term, so table with 4 chairs (double Queen rm) was handy for everything that we didn’t want to freeze overnight. 12 cup coffee pot in room. High shower head ideal for tall guests. Hot water and good water pressure appreciated. Standard $75 pet fee. Easy stairwell access for dog walking with multiple grass sections and pet waste stations. Nearby business building also convenient for pet walking. Walking distance to OutbackSteakhouse. Hot breakfast included scrambled eggs, sausage, bacon, biscuits, gravy, and various packaged items. Absolutely will stay again if Amarillo is on the path.
Very nice rooms, high def tv, comfortable bed. Also has an indoor heated pool and hot tub, wonderful to relax
The room was nice for the price. We left before breakfast though. The attendant (Nathan) was hilarious. Enjoyed his joking around and his personality.
Big, bright and crazy good value. Love this place for a night on the road. Always filled with families.
Very affordable, clean, comfortable beds, and staff are very friendly and accommodating. Received a goodie bag with waters and few snacks when we arrived (and even a late evening arrival!). Breakfast pulled at the scheduled time, but still accommodated other guests to pull some food back out after it had all been put away, which was awesome. Definitely recommend as a place to stay!
Super nice, clean rooms with kitchenette in the room. Friendly staff, nice hot breakfast. Just off the interstate.
Facility was/is great. Check in staff were friendly and attentive. Room was large and very clean. Breakfast was good (scrambled eggs, sausage, bacon, biscuits and gravy, parfaits, plus the normal oatmeal, dry cereal, fruit, juice, etc).
Our only complaint was at checkout. I loaded the car and my adult daughter waited at the counter to get a receipt, after a few minutes she came out to the car without a receipt and said there were no staff there. I asked her to go back in and try again. She came back out again empty handed. This time I went in. No employees were at the counter. I called out loudly, “Hello”. No response. I stepped behind the counter, and again said “Hello” loudly towards an employee back area entrance. A female employee, Angela, spoke from the eating/tv area and said, ‘you can’t be there’, and I responded ‘is this your area? ’ I exited from behind the counter as she repeated her comment. I responded with my same question. When she did get behind the counter she said she was getting a cup of coffee. She rolled her eyes at me and displayed zero professionalism. I doubt this will be the first complaint hotel management has received regarding this employee, Angela. After she gave me my receipt I bid her a good day. She didn’t respond. No, ‘thank you for staying with us, please come stay with us again, you as well’, nothing.
My receipt I finally got after 15 minutes of waiting is date/time stamped 3/21/23,7: 50 am. I’m sure there is video surveillance footage available to confirm ‘my only complaint’
We did enjoy our stay, we are glad we picked this hotel and we did have a good day and would stay here again
Holly was a joy of a receptionist, and the rooms (especially the bathroom) are unbelievable. Wish I could stay longer!
We would absolutely stay here again. The price was great and the room was perfect for my wife and I while traveling with one of our kids. Plus they allow dogs.
Great location, clean rooms, and wonderful staff. Breakfast isn't fancy, but it fills the void (free w/room). Parking was easy and well lit.
I'm in town a few times a year on business (consistent over 10+ yrs), and yet this is my first stay at this particular hotel; it'll be my go-to in Amarillo for the foreseeable future. Very easy to access from the interstate, yet enough distance to allow for a good night's sleep. I'm not sure, but if I had to guess, I'd say this is less than a year old - it's immaculately clean, bright and spacious. A lovely breakfast, surprisingly great coffee, and a well-stocked room with dishwasher, cookware, fridge, etc. I usually have 30-70 nights/yr in Marriott hotels, and this impressed enough to be in my top quartile, outshining many pricier places. This place is very well run, friendly, hard-working people, and a room that was as clean as they come. I look forward to the really comfortable beds during my next visit; several decent places to eat within 5 minutes walking.
Very nice hotel. Had a perfect experience. Room was clean and big. Breakfast offers a large choice.
Place is nice enough but I almost hit by cars a few times walking to surrounding restaurants, it needs a sidewalk that stretches all the way to the door instead of dumping you the parking lot entryway
